Is TLG now definitely phasing out baseplates?
TeriXeri replied to merman's topic in General LEGO Discussion

Is TLG now definitely phasing out baseplates?
TeriXeri replied to merman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Unless the currently sold non-road baseplates 10700 10701 10714 11010 are all retiring at the same time, I don't see baseplates going out of production yet. That said, they did re-launch a Classic set with the inclusion of 4 16x16 regular plates not that long ago. -
LEGO Creator 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not sure why there were 4 1x1 plate with clip as extras in the Pirate Ship set , brickset lists 8, and while 4 are used in the builds and listed in the instruction parts list. I don't think it's an error either as brickset inventory is pulled straight from LEGO and doesn't include spares, and has 1264 parts which includes 4 extra clips. I can understand extra parts for the alternate builds but I checked that too. Overall just brought this up out of interest. -
Looks like a fun set for sure, I think it's good they didn't go with "human" minifigures, as the show is different in various countries. And even while some of the muppets are different per country as well, overall they are more known in their original as well.

Demon Bull King mech uses in the foot, and then plugged into a + in the leg. Monkey King mech uses + in the foot, and then put into a on the leg. Lloyd's Titan mech uses + in the foot, and then put into a on the leg.

Do you think lego will ever realese another space theme
TeriXeri replied to arealhuman's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Oh I agree. My only SW set in fact is a 1999 Landspeeder with 2 yellow figures, now we are indeed 21 years later. My point was that next wave doesn't look as huge, so maybe there's some room for in-house space opening up like 2006 started repeating prequel and original trilogy sets, and few sets in general because there were no new movies, and 2007 had an in-house space theme again after a 6 year break from 2001. 2020 obviously was a Star Wars focused year with episode 9 in late 2019, and The Mandalorian + 40th year Empire, next year looks pretty different. LEGO is really teasing with the orange spaceman as well, and classic space logo on the Creator torso, I'd be sad if the Mining Mech was the only Space related in-house set for 2021. -

75144: Snowspeeder , Availability at LEGO.com (tracked by Brickset) UK 04 May 17 - 04 Feb 19 USA 05 May 17 - 15 Jan 19 Yes I can see the set was briefly on the EU site again in August 2020, but the set was already way past it's original lifespan then. @JintaiZ Maybe buy a new one off bricklink, the European sellers prices are still close to the original retail price, compared to the US sellers which are at least $100 higher. -
Maybe look at the Monkie King Mech as well, it uses those ratcheted joints for the arms/legs/ankles, for the legs and arms it uses multiple of them for extra strength.

Creator 3-in-1 Winter 2021 will have a Space Mining Mech set, but I don't think LEGO would do another full space theme until at least summer 2021 or 2022. 2019 City Space is retiring , and Star Wars is basicly so far looking like it'll have somewhat of an off-season with no new movie, but what looks like some smaller sized releases of an X-wing /. Tie Fighter / Shuttle. -

Only partially into the build of the Pirate Ship (bag 1-4), I love how the hull is made so far, very interesting. Also the green and red parts used for inside (hidden) construction being used for port and starboard side is a nice touch, also makes the set a bit more viable for christmas-y alternate builds with the white/brown/green/red. -
I loved those arm parts, I had the Aquasharks sub that came with a claw and a magnet arm with some neon orange parts. Now I think due to age, they just seem to become very fragile, as in the pieces actually getting damaged, so I can see why LEGO eventually replaced them.

Lego Ideas Support Thread - Historical/Castle
TeriXeri replied to leafan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Still hope that the Blacksmith Shop will be revealed soon. Personally wishing for a more Castle-ish approach on the design with a bit more stonework, or a tower roof like Guarded Inn. A hinged design could be interesting as well as then it could be displayed in different ways.- 532 replies

Great set and a good number of interesting parts to use outside of the season.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I still expect Coast Guard to return in Summer 2021, just seems one of those that makes sense I do hope they seperate the Ship, from the Base tho. With a Police Boat coming, a Diver theme still on shelves, and a Elite Police floating helicopter/lighthouse just released. Unless they do it under Harbour, with more focus on either Cargo, a Pilot boat, Civilian Marina, and possibly a medical Search and Rescue boat/helicopter (yellow like previous ski helicopter/ski resort rescue vehicles) Not all countries have their rescue operations under Coast Guard. My country has voluntary lifeboat stations, and currently at least until 2022, SAR flights are via a commerical belgian company. -
But Saturn V is re-releasing, so IDEAS Space isn't exactly dead either.

Ok good point there, but City is retiring, and a €19,99 prisoner Transport can't be very a large vehicle. To compare : 2014 set had more of an armored American look to it. 2005-2008-2011 was more of an European style Van. But I understand the meaning of the word Van or Truck can have somewhat different meanings between countries and regions. -

LEGO 60283 Holiday Camper Van is releasing in 2021 City, so the Creator and City themes can have similar vehicles at the same time. Just like Creator had a Burger Truck and City had a Burger Bar in 2019, and Burger Diner in 2020. -

Looking at previous City Bus sets, they seem to always have released in summer , unless there is a bus in the Town Center set. -

On brickshop.eu, LEGO 60277 changed name to Police Patrol Boat. Fire sets changed a bit more specific names as well : LEGO 60279 Fire Hazard Truck LEGO 60280 Fire Ladder Truck LEGO 60281 Fire Rescue Helicopter LEGO 60282 Fire Command Unit If it's a Van style I do hope it's more of the 2014 armored design, and not the more standard 2005/2008/2011 vans. -
Globe doesn't really surprise me with the relaunch of Ship in a Bottle.

It could be interesting, 3-in-1 has had sidewalks for a while in the 2014-2017, and also 2019-2020. After the 2017 City accesoires set, in 2018 Xtra added expandability with traffic lights, mailboxes, street lanterns and such that could fit on them. Town used to have expansion packs for trees/fences, the main thing I feel is missing a bit are traffic signs , even if they provide blank signs with a sticker sheet. (xtra has stickers but no easy accesible traffic sign parts). So far, these new roads look promising for smaller City / 3-in-1 scale layouts, or displays like shelves, where baseplates are a bit bulky, even tho it might be pricey to get a decent length of roads. -

I do think the 2016 Boat Hull is also more the size for the budget. 40x12 is obviously smaller then 51x14 studs , but the 2016 boat came with the 22x10 "Rubber" boat as well, which likely is why is was priced higher.
