Loved the episode. As for the duration of the fight, it was perfect. I don't expect to see two older guys do saber-ballet before one of them gets the upper hand on the other. In some ways it was a sweet moment since Maul totally intended the "I-got-Qui-Gon-like-this-move and Obi Wan was like....I am not Qui-Gon. Heh heh. I do hope and pray that Thrawn is handled well at the end but we all knew it was gonna lead to another tangent or something since the rebel fleet survives until the battle of Endor. So we already know Thrawn doesn't quite get it done.

Just wow! This looks so good. Plus the size is beyond compare! I'd love to see how many figures can be posed inside of it =) Good luck!

There is never a copious amount of imperial troopers, only good-enough-for-now-amounts of troopers. >=) Though I do hope you post shots of the whole kit and caboodle once you get it to where you want it =)

I am curious as to how that works. Do the sets get sold back to LEGO by retailers and the figures pulled? Or is it LEGO just gets no orders for that set from retailers and so they just go to their inventory and put the figures in other sets? Either way it is a shame. I got that set and above retail (due to regional pricing). While it was a tough pill to swallow the set is fantastic and is proudly adorning my shelf at home. -

Hmm, drat. I was hoping to hear the stormtroopers got the updated helmet print also at some point during its production run. Although I suppose it is good to hear it didn't come with clone trooper faces for them =) Thanks for the reply =) -
Improved Resistance Troop Transport 75140

In the film when the craft is landing you get a good glance of the underside of the pilot's cabin from the opposite side to the shot above. It seems the housing next to the pilot's cabin runs right along to the cockpit but the build used by LEGO is a pretty decent approximation. Admittedly that is a very hard area to modify in LEGO since the shapes of the pieces to make a pilot's cabin that uninterrupted from the housing to the cockpit are either too round, too sleek, or would force the build to be extended in unsightly ways towards the engine exhaust. Still as I said before your mods are great and very practical since they make the primary role of the craft a bit more convenient (transporting an armed group to and fro). -
This I know all too well, the problem is everyone is on a similar schedule. My kids would only be free during a holiday or weekend themselves making it always likely that it will be crowded whenever we go ; ; I'll see what I can arrange though =)

Yes, April 1st struck me as odd too, but in Japan it has no culturally significant association. All I know is I got 21 days to save some cash =) I wish I could feel lucky about pricing most times. Scalping is a huge issue for folks not close to major retail outlets. Sets vanish once in stock (unless they're shelf warmers) and it is really hard to track down a decent price for the most desired sets, even when they're in stock (also there are rarely ever any sales).

Just out of pure curiosity, but during its production run did the Ewok Village ever receive updates to its minifigures? I know the previous Death Star got some minifig updates so I wonder if this set did also. -
Finally! LEGOLAND Japan is nearly completed and is slated to open on April 1st 2017. https://www.legoland.jp/en/ Having never visited one before I am hoping I can get to go sometime during opening week. It will have many more features than the few other official stores so I am curious about all of that. My one fear is that it will be super crowded wall-to-wall people similar to Disney Sea (24/7/365 wall-to-wall people). But I guess that just comes with the territory here =) Just happy to finally have a HUGE LEGO facility finally in Japan. I also wonder how the prices at the shops will compare to the usual outlets here in the country. Though recently for many sets I have been noticing an effort to at the very least match U.S. Pricing on some sets(perhaps due to the opening of the Chinese factory recently?).

Improved Resistance Troop Transport 75140
Japanbuilder replied to PaulPrime's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I love how you doubled the storage capacity for the weapons. The rest is also well implemented. Opening the edges of the interior is also a very good move. I am able to squeeze about 10 figures into the craft in the vanilla model but the two at the very edges are hard to place and take out. That small rework in that area does improve troop placement. Closing the gaps a bit more is also a good touch as the film model is more boxy compared to the LEGO set which seems a bit too sleek around the pilot's cabin in particular. This was by far my favorite set from 2016 and I am glad you took the time to show it some love. -
I love the styling this shop. The build for the Hat sign is also very nice. All the extra details to give it a trim are also a nice little touch. Well done!

I liked the latest episode very much and was quite enthralled by the imposing presence of a well coordinated Imperial attack plan. Of course due to plot of the movies through Endor the show goes on >=) But still it was fun! If next season turns out to be the last we get then I hope it parks us right up to Rogue One and shows us all the losses the Rebels endured to get to that point. Though, sadly, since the Rebel Fleet survives to the Battle of Endor we can probably already surmise that Thrawn will not be able to ever achieve the checkmate he hopes for and instead we will all have to settle for perhaps only the loss of the Phoenix cell in a valiant last stand to save the rest of the fleet. (We can surmise this too since I don't think we see that stolen Imperial carrier at Endor).

Have not been into this line but I saw the Bugatti and figured this year would be year! Have you built it yet? -
That is me with my A-Wing and TIE Advanced! But I play with my kids so I can disguise it =)

You only live once. There are tons of things to do with time and money other than LEGO and yet given the options, this one is not bad at all. So far the only one who seems hurt by all of this is my wallet =)

Only one of those sounds really really cool, and it is the one without the bears! Oo In fact, we need video now of the Empire smashing things to the tune of Ride of Valkyries! Love the smell of plasma bolts in the morning! It smells like...plasma smells....

I got one 5002938. Love his shoulder pauldron. P2252729 by Macster Tome, on Flickr I got one more 75078. Can never have enough and the printing for these has grown on me. P2252735 by Macster Tome, on Flickr Got on 75141 since I still needed a Kanan. Plus those blasters came in handy to arm my previous set's troops. P2252732 by Macster Tome, on Flickr Lastly I got 30605 FN-2187. Needed that guy to add to my FO trooper corp. Despite his lack of helmet I like him. P2232655 by Macster Tome, on Flickr

That is amazing. It is as if someone snatched these with a time machine, turned them into LEGO and took pictures =) I love the effect of the shot escaping the barrel of the gun. Very cool!

I do believe I need one of these! This looks great! In particular I am taken by the troop capacity you designed into it. Plus the cell for holding rebel scum!

Thank you very much for all of your help and encouragement. I will keep striving =) P2222720 by Macster Tome, on Flickr P2222698 by Macster Tome, on Flickr

The lighting changed a bit. For Rey's speeder I was on a table very close to a fluorescent overhead light plus my LED lamp. On the second shots the light box was set further below the room light but with the LED lamp closer to the top of the light box. I do prefer the ISO80 (which is the lowest I can get) but the light diffusing seems to have affected the exposures. Sadly, the only setting I get on influencing metering seems to be the digital ESP and iESP setting on the camera settings but I will try again and post some newer shots to see if that helps any. Hoping to get a second light this weekend also.
