  1. Looking at Brickset recently some terminology caught my eye. Namely under a set's availability. Some sets have it as Retail-Limited. What does the Limited refer to? Is it a limited time frame? A more finite than usual number in stock? Does anyone know specifically what the term means? I tried Brickset itself but can't find anything like a glossary page there.
  2. Well when they messed up Kanan's hair piece color in the original Ghost I believe they reissued him a new piece. (Not sure if that made them also reprint the color of his gotee) but they did revise it mid-run I believe. Who is to say we won't get a new iteration of Thrawn in the same model later? But I am not sure how much more precedent there is for that in LEGO. It seems expensive to shift to mid-production.
  3. I don't have too many large sets and my SW collection is mostly made of battle packs but of the three major builds I have by far the Resistance Troop Transporter (75140) is my favorite. The build was really enjoyable and the amount of detail and accuracy to the actual model was remarkable to me specially considering the medium with which it was constructed. Despite its lack of screen time there is a lot there on offer both as a transport and a ship. More so than its FO counterpart I find. My least favorite so far is the First Order Battle Pack (75132). While I think the figures are splendid on their own for a "battle" pack the whole of the contents is lacking in the utmost. Only one regular stormy one specialist stormy and two crew who can be gotten in the requisite numbers in other sets. I had to buy so many of these just to round out a squad of stormtroopers that it got ridiculous. The mini cannon/mortar was also meh. If they ever reissue a similar pack I hope it is focused on the troopers that actually do battle and not on the supporting units. Still having said all of that all of my sets together make me happy. So even faulty ones have contributed immensely to my collection and I love looking at my rows and rows of figures and little vehicles.
  4. I would love to get hundreds of these but I don't want to amass that many Death Troopers either. Hmm the choices. Still since I have two at-dp drivers I could get two of these mount the drivers to these walkers and free up a stormy for storming stuff! Actually can't wait till these hit shelves here. The death troopers will just have to mingle as the bodyguards of my imperial field officers.
  5. Hmm an ammo feeder!? Now that is cool interpretation of that. Going to have to roll with it. Also did anyone notice the pilot is female and likely comes with the new printed female flight suit as seen in the bulldozer heist set. Going to have to nab that polybag now! Been looking to add female specific flight suits to my City's police air arm so these should come in handy. Also I can't turn down a 1x4 printed console piece.
  6. Very true but that central piece in that blue isn't that common. Not that there is much use for those types of double L like parts but still it is a color I don't often see for those. Also wondering if that is a night vision camera on the side or a laser bazooka? The 8 year old in me is going with laser Bazooka!
  7. Check your region. Outside of, I believe, the NA region the TIE set is set to be discontinued. Krennics just came out this past cycle so it will be around for at least another year. I personally ordered the TIE and A Wing for myself for christmas since I am in a region that is going to lose access to it at regular retail.
  8. Wow! Well more props to you! Gonna have to try that on those new capes. Also that is a nice solution to that beam. It looks great.
  9. Did you use a wire on the cape? If so even more props to you for capturing all that detail! There was quite a draft up there in that scene. I am also curious to hear how you stabilized the beam running to the vane. I can't quite tell which pieces you employed but that is pretty amazing looking. Great job!
  10. Given everything that happens there it feels like the locale is worthy of a UCS set. Include an X-Wing a Cloud Car the figures and settings you mentioned plus a few of the droids and the landing deck and wow! I am sure many a collector would jump all over it.
  11. My theory is the whole thing was an ROTJ forward-flash. Since you know that person leads to that one person who leads to that showdown in ROTJ that leads to you know...that whole thing with the Sith. By EPVII There are no more Sith right? Just the whatevers of Ren. Ezra's continued error here is in using labels. The Force simply is, neither he nor anyone can stop the dark side from manifesting since Light has Darkness for a blanket. On the episode at first I was disappointed in it since in substance I did not find much different about this episode than The Holocrons of Fate episode. But after digesting it a bit I grew to like it a bit more. Now one wonders what Sabine is gonna do with her pick-up item there heh heh. Might make for an interesting filler later.
  12. Final Fantasy VII on my PS4. Just cause who can say no to Tifa in 1080p? Sure it looks dated(just a port after all) but it is what I remember. Not my fav FF but given the choices on PS4 I'll take it.
  13. Yes, recently I have begun paying more attention to US and UK information to get a general idea of what is coming down the pike with regards to retiring sets or sets that are regionally going to be discontinued or not released at all. It is very annoying to have a more direct transparent source though. I hope in the coming years LEGO has more of a presence in my region.
  14. Yes! Bring us some Rebels to the big screen! Speaking of Rebels I hope we get to see something awesome soon mid season. These filler-sodes where things only barely inch forward are getting to be a bit much. Though I do like the tone this last one set. Hopefully, it all goes downhill from here on out until the final climactic season finale. I don't know how much longer they can drag this out without no one from the core crew ceasing to be at some point. Which leads me to another rebels aside...I hope LEGO releases a set with Zeb in it at some point. I can't find the Ghost set for less than 300 bucks where I am and I need Zeb to round out my Rebels crew ><
  15. Hmm, it is interesting to see how things work for LEGO world wide. In Japan it has scant direct distribution so sellers keep them posted until they are out of stock. Once they retire we never know but the prices I have noticed do shoot up. This means they do retire but we are not informed since there is no direct LEGO listing to reference for Japan unless we look at the overseas timetables. Cant wait until they are done building the new LEGOLand park and store here so we have more distributor options and more transparent information on sets.
  16. If they emulate in some way older games and try not to flagrantly double dip to play those on their new console I could live with that but all my other conditions have to be met. I am sure I am not alone in that sentiment either.
  17. More close ups of the troopers pls! Love all the details but I am really taken with the hangar design and contents. That is so awesome! For the Empire!
  18. For real? I still have so many sets to get from that wave >< That was fast! I guess this year I better act within 12 months or everything I want will be gone.
  19. On the fence. Has it been confirmed yet if it is region free? If it is not then I am out. Also if it is still 32g internal memory I am out. Same if it has scant 3rd party support. I love me the first party games but there is more to gaming than that. Basically they need to get this right for me to hop back on to their brand. Watching Youtube via the console would be nice, digital downloads and no region lock outs would be killer. Backwards compatibility is a must too. A huge internal storage space should be mandated internally, 32g in 2017 would just be beyond sad. And tons of third party games would be a huge plus. Common Nintendo! You can do it!
  20. Love the assembly on the payload pod. Specially the nose of it. The Twin Ion Engines in the rear are pretty elegant in their simplicity. One almost wonders how this thing moved at all. Great job!
  21. Ha ha, I have only got into LEGO again this past year after a very very long dark age and never owned any of the early SW sets. But seeing this just adds the whole LEGO vibe to it. I am sure folks don't like those megaphones as guns but that is hilarious. I am sure over time as those who are kids now grow up they will look back at the stud blasters with fond memories of lost studs and great laughs blasting things off the shelf with them. Probably also pain of stepping on the odd one or two of these late at night along with w/e figure is holding them/ In that sense they are priceless in much the same sense these megaphones probably are to a few folks. We should probably look at it that way, since again, we have the option of buying moulded blasters in bulk and most kids do not.
  22. Amazon Japan has 2 sets up for the Winter Wave The Y Wing is priced at 10,777 yen (roughly 100 USD) for 691 pieces. The Battle on Scarif is priced at 9,697 yen (roughly 95 USD) for 419 pieces. Looks like I'll be waiting a year in my region before picking these up but prices do change quickly so likely they will settle down or up based on what the market here is willing to pay for these sets.
  23. Is that Green Leader on that A-Wing?
  24. Thanks much everyone that has put my mind at ease. Will keep figures not on display probably split so as to delay cracks on the torsos and waist connections.
  25. Along the same train of thought, I live in japan and around here we have a time of the year (several times a year actually) that is called tsuyu (rainy season) Everything gets mold on it. Your clothes, etc. everything. I have kept my LEGO in a dark room free from much sunlight and so far their first year they have lived through that OK. But that might too because they're are also next to a washitsu(Japanese traditional room, where the Tatami mats I guess help keep the spaces dry) I do worry though as the temperatures do shift a lot during tsuyu (very hot and very humid, or mildly cool but humid) does that affect ABS plastic very harshly very quickly? I try to keep the room these are in as clean as possible but temperature controlling the space is not possible (and pointless really as insulation is barebones here in Japan which makes that very expensive to do daily) but I wonder if this is enough to keep my collection safe. >< I already have issues with my PVC figures due to tsuyu.
