[MOC] Caterpillar D11T Dozer
WvG_853 replied to sheo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow! What else can I add to the previous comments than my compliments! Not only the looks are perfect, but itβs a functioning model on top of it. Amazing! This would be for me Lego Technic Scale Modelling UCS -
What a fascinating machine and a great MOC with lots of playability! A shame only the lucky few will be able to get/build this. Your MOC proves indeed dat bigger is not necessarily better and that it is possible to have fascinating, realistic and challenging builds with just a few hundred pieces of Lego Yechnic. I hope Lego will one day introduce a 16+ Lego Technic lineup with small and large(r) complex functional models like yours with old style instructions ...

Lego 42069 - D MODEL
WvG_853 replied to Dyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow, that is a really great D model! Now you have created already two alternative models that are better than the B-Model and that make this set worth to buy it! Will you make instructions for this model as well? Keep up your great work! -

A big thanks @Thirdwigg! Steering wheel looks good. I like how you solved the indication how long the pneumatic tubes are. :-)- 34 replies

42082 - Rough Terrain Crane
WvG_853 replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ha ha! Indeed ... I found it actually very distracting. The only good thing of the actors is it allows you to realise the size of this model. Itβs indeed huge! Luckily they donβt appear in the second part of the video ...- 1,224 replies

42080 Forest Harvester
WvG_853 replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was surprised about the price of this set. It is more expensive than I thought. I had expected it to be cheaper than the 42081 Volvo set, although it is motorised and has pneumatics ...- 313 replies

[MOC] CAT 914k
WvG_853 replied to Thirdwigg's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Cool MOC! I like that you have tried to keep the lines simple and the Technic visible. The tyres also look great. I will check them out ... I would also be interesting building this, also to understand for instance what the gear in the back bumper does. Stupid question: Should this model not have a steering wheel?- 34 replies

LEGO Technic rainbow models
WvG_853 replied to kraai's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great idea and well executed. I recognise your obsessive compulsive nature. You are not alone! ;-) Although I have a weak spot for the old style Lego Technic, I think the BMW is the model in this series I like best. -

Thanks @Rikus for this very illustrative images. It shows as well that the side window is too high or the door too low ... From above the similarity is stunning -

Coincidence! I also ordered the missing pieces as well as the printed parts. While waiting for the price of the Chiron to drop, I decided to build the ultimate Porsche. I hope somebody will do the same for the Chiron ... -

As with the Porsche, issues could have been avoided by involving 1-2 two members of the AFOL community in critical pre-release testing. -

Great MOC! A reminder that cool playable MOCs do not need to be flashy. HOG steering and functioning steering wheel. I like your attention to detail such as the hidden reserve wheel. I did just not understand what you used for the cilinders ...
