  1. Maybe you could try writing your local politicians? Pretty sure no one here can do much to appease your growing list of complaints about the state of Lego City which has spanned multiple threads. Maybe we could put tariffs on them until Lego gets their act together and starts making City themed sets for ages 18+. Yeah, that should do the trick. They will call you in no time at all to fly you over to headquarters so you can fix it all and save us grown ups from overly childish childrens toys! Seriously though, the sets aren't to my liking (for obvious reasons) so I am going to skip them and work on building up my MOCing techniques. If there are enough people that like these sets enough to buy them they can and Lego will base future sets on how well the current line up sells like any other for profit business.
  2. To me that is a perfect reason to create a modular Post Office
  3. Using small cars is a plausible option. Considering a lot of modular collectors prefer sets without cars and there is already an established scale among the current vehicles associated with the modulars it does seem unlikely to me. I'm not against there being a car dealership, there are many other buildings I would like to see first. I do like the grand single use buildings a lot, but the multi-use buildings expand the city's attractions more rapidly. DO was the first modular I bought for that very purpose.
  4. I do like the Tumbler and I am glad I own it. Of course I would have taken the figures separately in a smaller set but then I would not have bought the Tumbler. It is such a neat display piece that I must say I am glad they were bundled together
  5. The truth is often offensive to people. That doesn't negate its truth. I would not have bought the D2C Tumbler without the exclusive Joker and I would not buy this Batmobile if the special molded Keaton Batsuit was not included. I really like minifig scale builds and minifigures so large scale vehicles are mostly a pass for me. The only large scale set I have bought that doesn't include any minifigures was the creator Ford Mustang because that car is awesome.
  6. $48 @ WalMart
  7. There does seem to be a pretty clear winner. I like series 6 a lot and would have voted for it except clumsy guy is one of my top 3 favorite CMF's so I voted for 15
  8. This is fantastic and so realistic! Excellent work. Its nice to see actual doors a working trunk. My only complaint is that Lego isn't making this a set already!
  9. Other than a couple ambulance vans I had nothing medical for my city so I couldn't wait to pick one up. I bought one for regular price and although I liked it a lot it really felt a bit incomplete. So I bought a 2nd one on clearance at walmart for just over 50% off and made it into a modular. I had to use quite a lot of extra bricks but it was worth it.
  10. That is really cool! Great concept and excellent execution. Could even make a row of different colored ones. I love it and would gladly buy several if Lego were to produce them!
  11. Personally I would like to see an exact replica of Mr Gold be released 1 per case just like the classic policeman or have a regular distribution among the 16 figures. That would at least be some sort of apology from Lego and at the same time rebuke people who will pay an insane amount of money for 1 figure.
  12. I had to vote for series 4. Hazmat guy us my favorite CMF ever.
  13. Team GB was a close 2nd for me even though I only have Brawny Boxer which I had to find online because they were not available in the US, nor was I back into Lego at the time. However for me series 9 was more useful so it got my vote.
  14. Series 3 Baseball Player
  15. I bought two of the 60204 hospital sets to combine into a modular. As I had a couple ambulances but no medical facility I think it was a great addition. I also think it is the best medical center so far in Lego.
  16. These best CMF games are my favorite, especially since I have acquired almost all of them since the last time around when I had very few!
  17. Your assumption that I have no need to worry about politics is at best ignorant since you don't even know me. The fact is that I do care about politics and also have very strong opinions which I know others on this forum strongly disagree with so what would be the point of discussing political issues on a Lego forum? When I want to be involved in political discussions I go to places designed to have them. I don't come to a Lego fan site to discuss politics even if they are topics I agree on. To do otherwise shows a lack of respect for the the site and its members as well as a sense of entitlement that everyone should have to listen to one person's opinion whether they want to or not. Let's focus on why we are here; what we love about Lego!
  18. These are toys to be enjoyed and played with. They are to stimulate creativity and hopes and dreams. Why do people feel the need to insert politics into every aspect of life? And yes all this discussion is gender politics. If you don't like it change it or don't buy it. Why do we have to inject negativity into something we all claim to enjoy?
  19. Conveniently the Corner Garage recently opened with a vet service on the 2nd floor to help with the care of all these new animals!
  20. What exactly is disappointing?
  21. Well that escalated quickly
  22. Really great builds and excellent back story as well. Hope to see the garage building built with real bricks some day as well.
  23. Perhaps a rocketeer inspired figure could use a new helmet mold like Dr Fate giving Lego a reason to make a Dr Fate figure for DC fans.
  24. I recently acquired the official Lego Mini Modulars set so I was curious if anyone had built mini scale of other modular buildings. This is really fantastic. Excellent work!
