A lot of good sets there but in my opinion every Lego city should have City set 3221 - Lego semi.

DC Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
fordtruckin replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I bought every set from TLBM, every wave and multiples of the CMF's. They are ridiculously out of scale with the other DC sets but they are to this day the best figures and sets for all of DC. Only others ones that come close for me are the 2006-2008 waves. Unfortunately I was in the dark ages then. I have picked up all of the 2006 sets except the USC Batmobile. Id love to find the tumbler and joker van set though. -
Simple yet profound, the empty garden tomb. Excellent reminder of the real reason to celebrate Easter, devoid of all the commercialized aspects. He is rise indeed.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
fordtruckin replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I bought a complete series of DC Comics the first day it arrived locally. When my kids (I have 6) saw them each one said they wanted to have certain figures also. I should have just bought a box, but I didn't realise how much my kids would like them. Now I have been going back to the store every couple days to acquire the desired figures but the store keeps selling out shortly after the new box is opened. So DC may not be something you like but it is not just sitting on the shelves around here. They cannot keep them in stock, which is a good problem to me. Disney series 2 is still warming the shelves at most local stores and a few still have series 19. -
This is EPIC! So many characters and details and stories going on. The lower level garage with holding cells is my favorite part. This really is great. I even love the mostly blue exterior. Thanks for sharing it!

That looks like way more than 2 sets.....I also bought 2 to make a modular but yours appears to be substantially larger.

Awesome. Beautiful. Inspiring. Brilliant. Love all the little details.

DC Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
fordtruckin replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Stopped at the local Walmart after work last night. They are a bit more difficult to feel for but I picked up a complete set of 16, extra Batmite, extra lanterns and a Flash. Took about half an hour but was a recently opened box and no one else was around. They were marked at $3.44 as others have said. -
You're initial MOC looked similar to the Toys R Us building in set 7848. And while a lot of buildings have a similar shape they can definitely stand out. The update you posted shows that as it adds much needed character to further define its purpose. I like where you are going with it and look forward to seeing what you do next!

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I hadn't seen that so thanks for sharing it. That is a beautiful station. Better than anything Lego would likely produce, especially in the City line. A perfect addition to a custom Lego city imo. -
LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
fordtruckin replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
The truth is the truth regardless of what you choose to believe. Its not snobbery. You talk a huge game demanding Lego produce a set that you believe everyone wants even though its been pointed out by other members that a simple search of Eurobricks doesn't support your assertion. Because you pressed the matter I did comment on your MOC with some criticism that if you take to heart I believe it can motivate you to create something better that you would be more happy with. I would like to see a neat build from you especially considering an early post from you where there was a claim that you would work for Lego someday. If I seem harsh its because a lot of really talented builders don't get hired by Lego so you leave yourself enormous shoes to fill with that statement. The ball is in your court my friend. I really do hope you can make a beautiful build that reflects a transit station in detail and I look forward to seeing what you can come up with. Best of luck to ya! -
I'm not seeing it. That could be a ticket booth to a county fair, a sno cone booth, coffee booth, a tourist information booth or a security guard shack if you remove the green block benches and insert an arm to block off traffic. And it isn't up to the standards of City set quality. But it is a great start. What stands out about the transit station you work at? How could you modify and expand this to look more identifiable? When I see a building I don't want to be told what its purpose is, I should be able to just know. Like where I am from there used to be a lot of Pizza Hut locations that all had the distinctive look to them. Most are no longer Pizza Huts but the building is instantly recognizable and every one that isn't still a Pizza Hut is some other form of restaurant.

I did see that, and I didn't comment for a reason. Please don't take offense, but I wouldn't buy that from anyone and if it was given to me it would be in the spare parts bin for my kids. That is along the same lines as the museum from 60200, just an empty shell. You could slap any sticker on it and it would easily be another business. Build something with depth and detail. Something where you don't even have to describe what it is because it would be instantly recognizable for its intended purpose. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
fordtruckin replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
There seems to be a lot of hate for American style modulars here which is quite disappointing. Yes I am American and I love the American inspired buildings Lego has made. The European buildings are not what I'm used to seeing so I don't love them at first sight (or even 2nd or 3rd). My reaction to the Bookshop was very similar to the reaction many on here had to Downtown Diner. But all of them grow on me and I buy every modular. I can appreciate the unique style they bring and make them fit in my city. There isnt a single modular I hate or regret buying. And Im just going to point out Eurobricks is in English, not German, because of the USA. Don't hate me, its true. -
Love it! I would buy if Lego were to produce it in the future. As has been stated your parts usage is brilliant and I do like the teacup.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Sounds like @pooda is the real Eurobricks victim, just ask him. I really don't think there will be a good public transit station in city this year or the next few either. Aside from police and fire sets city isn't known for their detailed buildings. They surprise you once in a while like with the hospital where buying 2 can make a decent building, but realistically the typical city building is more like the hotel or museum from 60200. I challenge you @pooda to use your real world knowledge as a bus driver and public transport commuter to design your own take on such a building and show us what you can do. I'm genuinely interested and if I like your concept I'd consider buying instructions from you as my city lacks any sort of transportation hub. -

Please don't get discouraged. I followed your points easily and agree completely with your approach and explanations and appreciate the input you have contributed. Some members are easily offended and "triggered" by anything they perceive as negative towards them our their ideas. Don't let immature behavior of others ruin the joy you get from doing Lego your way. Would I buy a good transportation hub set, probably. Do I think it is likely, no, for the same reasons already pointed out about less exciting and many forms of public transit are not in the best condition from my experiences. Also, forgive me @pooda but I find it difficult to believe that people would revere a bus or train operator in the same way the see a hero like police, firefighters, doctors, paramedics, etc....to me even good teachers would garner far more respect than a bus driver, no offense to your profession. -
Thank you so much! That was indeed very helpful! I will definitely let you know if I have any more questions.

Hi @Ginger Ninja I love the Corner Garage but your modification makes it so much better. Do you have any pictures of the way you did the SNOT to hide the gaps in Corner Garage? I would like to do something similar to mine.

This building could easily fit right in with the Modulars. Very well executed.

Really nice firehouse. I love the greenery, the architectural details and the ramped driveway to meet the road plate. The hidden feline is a nice touch as well. I don't recall seeing your previous MOC, station 23 though. Its a shame you tore it apart for lack of comments as this build shows you have talent.

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
fordtruckin replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just out of curiosity, how many members wanted to get both the UCS Batmobile and the GWP Batmobile this weekend but couldn't get the GWP because it was sold out? I had some trouble with the site accepting payment information but ended up going thru after repeated attempts by my wife and myself. We got both Batmobiles and the Christmas tree. I do like the UCS Batmobile but would have waited to buy for some time if it did not come with the other Batmobile. -

I agree with you that they are similar in play features but 2014 version looks more modern and realistic to me. 2020 looks more "plain" and "simple" to me personally. And when putting the whole 2020 subtheme of police against the whole 2014 police subtheme, 2014 overall looks way better to me. -

The funny thing is you send that response to people when you have been triggered. You are overly sensitive to any reply you dislike and begin to attack. But you have said you live in the DC area so that shouldn't be surprising, its what you are accustomed to. Honestly from most of your posts I thought you were a KFOL who lied to have an account here. You have claimed you WILL BE a Lego set designer yet also stated you aren't that great at MOCing. Also you said you are a bus driver so maybe you are old enough. Yes, of course everyone on Eurobricks knows Lego can do better. There are many extremely talented people working for Lego. You do not know what restrictions are put on the designers, what their budget is, what their marketing research is showing them, or what direction Lego is planning on going. And to claim you do demonstrates the magnitude of your arrogance and ignorance. Those "better" sets happened when there was a specific Juniors theme for younger builders. 2014 Police station was my favorite and the only police station I have bought and probably will be the last unless they make a Creator Expert Modular Police station. I bought every police set from 2014 which has provided more than enough police for my city as well as keeping things uniform.
