This is awesome. Looks really accurate from what I remember as well. Great work!

(MOC) Some Arcade machines I've been working on
fordtruckin replied to Frostbricks's topic in LEGO Town
Everything looks so perfect! These are amazing. Might look good in one of the upper floors of downtown diner until you get around to making a custom building. -
How would you guys feel about a Masters of the Universe line?
fordtruckin replied to LegoAndDisney's topic in LEGO Licensed
If Lego were to make sets I would definitely buy them. Grew up on that show and toyline. Last I knew another company had the rights to it though. -
[MOC] Food truck alternative build from the set 60182
fordtruckin replied to CoolerTD's topic in LEGO Town
Very nice alternate build! Looks like it could be an actual set. -
I really dislike brickheadz but I do love MoTU and Mer-man is easily recognizable. Great job!

Beautiful and stunning! Love every detail inside and out!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 Rumors and Discussion
fordtruckin replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The one I found was on the left side near the middle. If you get a sealed box and other people are looking to grab some just pull out the whole left side and feel each til you find it. The employee at Target brought up a new box for me to look through on an unused checkout lane. After I finished grabbing what I wanted she hung the rest up in a few checkout lanes. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
fordtruckin replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
No, I would love more waves. Another CMF would likely be redundant but there could easily be more sets. -
I really like the XL modular mods that several members have done but I never felt inclined to buy a 2nd copy to mod until I saw @LegoSjaak's XL Downtown Diner. The DD is so different from the other modulars that it stands out a bit but he really nailed it with that mod. I would love to duplicate it if I ever got a 2nd copy.

Thats why I was surprised that it lasted that long. Most series around me dont.
-
I recall seeing the Disney figures at my local Walmart for at least 6 months. Other series seem to go much faster.

Interesting choice of colors. Although to me they clash a lot somehow they work well also. Love the dentist vs candy shop idea. The back fire escape looks a bit dangerous though.

I'd have to say Detective's Office is my favorite because I started collecting modulars because of that one. I have 8 modulars so far, as far as ranking I would say DO, PR ,GE, FB, TH, PC, BB and PS will probably always be last unless I somehow acquire Market Street. I will pick up AS and DD for sure before they retire. Hoping to find reasonably priced GG and CC sometime. I recently acquired GE, TH and FB complete with boxes and instructions for a fair price.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 poll
fordtruckin replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My favorite actual minifigures are the cowboy costume guy and brick suit figures. However I really want the party clown, party boy and girl, and classic police for their accessories. -
Those truly are awesome!

Honestly, if I wanted a more simple design I would buy what Lego has available because your simple design was basically the same. I prefer the more realistic style. If you are going to all the effort of designing them and printing them I think realistic is the way to go.

What Are Your Favorite Licensed MOCs?
fordtruckin replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
Batcave/Wayne Manor MOC by @danstraindepot Ace Chemicals MOC by @Captain Nemo These are two of my favorites. I'm sure there are more just haven't thought of the others yet. -
Hopefully your city has a repair shop or at least a tow truck! These roads and pictures are really cool. I am a bit jealous, but thanks for sharing. Always nice to see people enjoying the hobby.

Thats the funniest thing I've heard all day! So true. While it is nonsense to get rid of the city theme for any stretch of time; more buildings beyond the police and fire ones would be welcomed.
-
Absolutely beautiful and true to the real building. Fantastic work. I love this building and I have never even seen it irl.
-
Looks amazing! I would absolutely do this to my modulars if I knew how. Can't wait to see more. Thanks for sharing your project!

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
fordtruckin replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thats a great idea. Hopefully you are correct! -
I used to work at a full service station so I bought the set as soon as I got a good deal. Love the set but would never pay full price for it. I kind of want a 2nd set for the other build.
