  1. Great interior decorations. :)
  2. I noticed that when I saw the small mech and realised it's smaller than I expected. It still looks well designed but other than Nya, I don't have any compelling reason to buy it apart from making a MOC out of it.... probably won't stay assembled if I ever buy it.
  3. I would argue that the 7879 has better selection of minifigures than this because it has Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, R-3PO, Luke, medical droid. With that price tag I would expect to have the main crew and staff operating the Hoth base and not just random soldiers.
  4. You can't say it's a flop judging only on 1 location or even one country. The chicken suit guy is highly in demand... I already have the original release but I would have bought another one if the promotion is locally available. However, I didn't get one because I am not paying for scalpers or so called importers who get them for cheap and charge me double or triple the original amount. The offers available overseas vs almost absent promotion here in my region shows that TLG has underestimated the demand in Asia once again.
  5. I wonder if they scales it correctly with the Samurai Mech. I'm impressed with the amount of detail they put in the Samurai Cave set but I am hoping Nya won't be exclusive to this set for so long... Otherwise it will be the only way to get her in the new ninja garb.
  6. One big reason I have never collected many Hoth sets is because I do not like white bricks as they are prone to yellowing. If I am paying that much for 75097 which is primarily white bricks they I expect it should be resistant to yellowing or something. Maybe few more minifigs like Leia and better(more?) X-Wing pilots and helmets.
  7. What kind of minifigs will be in Batman series? All Batman costumes ever made?
  8. Well... obviously because he's the ninja of ice. :)
  9. These Freemaker sets are wasted opportunity in my opinion. I do appreciate LEGO making the Star Wars universe bigger but they also invest on these new mini series. Why not save that money and revisit old trilogy sets again that had never been remade or created. I'm sure many SW fans would favor this than buying the Freemaker sets. They had Droid Tales very recently and then they introduce Freemaker out of nowhere. To me, it feels like a filler that no one really asked for.
  10. In South East Asian region NEXO Knights and Ninjago release dates are swapped as NEXO Knights were only introduced here on March. I don't think they will release the NK 2nd wave that too early. Therefore I do expect to see Ninjago 2016 2nd wave soon.
  11. Now I want LEGO bear-suit guy!
  12. I'm so hooked on all the new torso prints. TLG dropped as many jackets and sweater. That park must be very cold.
  13. I'm excited about the packaging. It's the first time it would be focused on Star Wars. No jedis, no lightsabers -- just normal people trying to fight the empire through rebellion.
  14. Rise of the Serpentine and The Final Battle season is all about Green Ninja that leads to Lloyd being the Golden Ninja and then ultimately losing the golden power. From here onwards the Ninjas power are on a steady decline. The Re-booted season could have easily been the source of inspiration for NEXO Knights -- downloading power to their armour or weapons. I know some people dislike this season but it's my favorite because LEGO had the balls to reimagine what futuristic Ninja could be. My favorite army to this day are the Nindroids. If Batman can have so many gadgets to be a superhero why can't ninjas have those as well? That's the reason I miss Nya's Samurai X character ... Ronin is supposed to fill that gap but his douche bag attitude does not help replace the gap created when Nya became a ninja and retired from being Samurai X. I do hope future season will explore more ways to go back to the specialty of each character because frankly speaking Kai is suppose to be the most powerful of the ninjas specialising on attack but lately he's getting defeated so easily while Cole had become weaker and weaker on defence now that he's a ghost! Zane 2.0 forgot he is actually stealthy he won't even try. Jay still exhibit specialty on speed but only on talking.
  15. Story wise, these dragons have gone through oblivion, overthrown by the elemental dragons. I feel bad that Flame, Shard, Wisp and Rocky merged to form the Ultra Dragon only to be... forgotten. I was planning to takes these dragons but I ultimately decided to buy only the minifigs. I was planning to get Fire Temple but Temple of Airjitzu was released and it is is undoubtedly on top of LEGO-built Asian architecture now so for me it was an easy decision to let go of the Fire Temple. Those who missed out Krazi can pick up the second wave set this year - 70592 (Salvage M.E.C.) and I'm glad LEGO is doing this throwback sets. I can use more Skulkins for my skeleton army. It's also good that LEGO stopped making these one-off dragon head molds. The rubbery plastic they used for the old dragon heads were awful. I prefer the classic castle dragon in terms of reusability. I love the new elemental dragons they are making. If you don't like the dragon head (e.g. Jay's Elemental Dragon) you can easily remove those slopes sticking out the sides and replace it something less jarring. True, Wisp is the best dragon from that wave. It's the biggest of the 4 original dragons and only smaller to Ultra Dragon.I just hope we see a proper-size dragons for Kai and Cole's elemental dragons... because if LEGO won't release the correct scale for them it's totally unfair for Kai and Cole fans.
  16. Why would you need to spend >$1000 when you can create your own dragons? True, those older dragons are collectible but I prefer the newer dragons. i know it is subjective but for me new generation of brick-built head dragons are way more appealing. So, to someone who missed/skipped the entire line of dragons from the early season I was not compelled to buy those retired sets.
  17. Impressive. I hope to have as many bricks to create this big castle and space to display it. I wonder how many bricks were used to make this.
  18. I was not able to collect as many stormtroopers back then... And now that I want to collect more they don't come in many sets and the battle packs are not as good as the old one.
  19. My interest on Donald Duck increased ten folds because of this idea!
  20. I really enjoyed the composition and the clever use of Imperial Navy Trooper helmets :)
  21. I'm thinking about the same thing but I hope it is not going to be just pillars, rocks and rubble.
  22. I'm getting tired collecting Ninjago vehicles. It's very hard to integrate with my other MOCs. I hope there are only few exclusive minifigs coming out in bigger, more expensive vehicles.
  23. Apart from the droids and the pilots, I have no interest in this set.... it could have been better if they just released cheaper 'modular' little sets like the previous releases.
  24. are those line-ups just speculation or do we have information to back it up?
  25. It is overpriced indeed but I was able to buy a parted out set without minifigs for a bargain and the build is not bad at all. Add one more set and you have a more decent Takodana playset. I can see the potential buyers of these sets are those who skipped Kylo Ren's shuttle and whoever wants to get Maz Kanata. Other than that there is nothing special about this set in my opinion.
