"Lazy" is just an over simplication. You are right that there will be better time to release those dragons... But releasing both big dragons and chibi dragons at the same time (wave or season) doesn't appear to be the right choice because it gives an impression that Cole and Kai are lesser characters to bother having the right size of dragons to ride with. I even doubt they will release them because Cole's dragon is not in the upcoming sets and the reported codes for sets for Ninjago movie probably won't have elemental dragons... Hope that TLG will prove me wrong. Also, I strongly believe people collect Ninjago because of temples, dragons and other Asian motifs... Not pirate ships.

I agree. It looks like she aged 3x... but I don't know if the designers could have done it any better. Sabine has a narrow heart-shaped face and slim body so it does not translate to minifigure form quite well.

Came out 2 days ago in my region... Nowhere to be found already. I was hoping to get some of the more common ones... Anyway, I am not happy with the consistency of the paint and prints. It seems like quality check is not as good as before.

TLG needs to release properly scaled dragons for Cole and Kai. If they will release chibi dragons then they must release for all, too... But then having minifig scaled dragons for few ninjas and chibi for some is just lazy even if we can do MOC. Also, hope they won't forget Nya.

In the past I built vignettes on how I feel about my work... I still have some of those 16x16 vignette here... and it helped me cope up with stress.

I secretly wished most people think the same way (not impressed) when I was hunting for these laser mech because the torso prints are so epic without the armour I got about half a dozen now.. hope to use it in my space MOC for TRON inspired motif.

I am not surprised if it is just one off release. Was not planning on getting the whole gang but after getting the Mystery Machine I ended up getting the whole gang anyway... With CMF series 14 and Monster Fighters we can already MOC many memorable episodes. So glad we even have one wave.

Simpler answer is that these army building packs are considered by TLG to be higher margin products. The way TLG compensates (or add value) is by giving us different torso prints and whatever silly accessories they want to include. While I like it to be a little cheaper, minifigures sell sets so without undermining existing sets they produce a small pack of minifigs that won't cannibalise their main offerings... And the marketing folks in TLG knows that.

When I collected that 2014 waves in 2015... all of them were in clearance sales so I literally got all of them for less than 50% of the price all-in... so I'm not in to hurry to buy any of the current waves yet.
