  1. I don't know who invented the word duo-chromatic... but let me put you all in the same page. In the context of Spooky Girl, she is monochromatic. In photography monochrome simply means the picture consists of black and white or in varying tones of only one colour. So you can have black, white and grey and that is a monochrome picture. You can also have black, white, light bluish grey and dark bluish grey... or black, white, dark red and red it is still monochrome. Duo-chromatic is when you have entirely different shades of colour like blue and green in a rather black & white picture. Therefore a combination of black, white, dark bluish grey, dark blue and dark green -- is not monochromatic... but duo-chromatic.
  2. Quoting directly from TLG's 2015 annual report: It would be insane for TLG to stop Ninjago if it is one of the top selling themes last year. If not mistaken the order they arranged the themes in that sentence is also the order of popularity. The show can be rebooted, re-imagined or even remade but the theme will stay as long as it is a bestseller. Long live Ninjago!
  3. I agree. And frankly, we are just speculating it unless we see how short or long is the license contract with Hanna-Barbera.
  4. same here. :) I don't care about the futuristic knights army at all... just the bad guys. Hope to see it soon... and I really hope it is going to be as cool as the King's Mech.
  5. Interested to see how your ghost army would like like with the ghoulden weapons. :)
  6. confectionaries.
  7. Confirmed? That hairpiece would be great in black :)
  8. Looking forward to the 853516 - Monsters Army -- it looks like a better alternative than ordering from BL to build army of monsters.
  9. Guys, while we are talking about retirement...there is a new Scooby Doo polybag It's a good sign that the theme won't be retired soon, right?
  10. There is a better one published at http://brickset.com/sets/30601-1/Scooby-Doo http://brickset.com/sets/30601-1/Scooby-Doo
  11. The accessory pack is interesting. Not the army building set that I would like but the selection of minifigures are unique. I can't figure out what armour or outfit Zane has but it certainly looks different. Exactly my thoughts. If I'll buy Samurai X Cave, it is going to be built once then it will be disassembled to cater for my MOCs.
  12. Got what I wanted today except Minnie Mouse. The staff in my local store put the numbers at the back already so all I have to do is double confirm.
  13. To answer the question 'what happened'... It looks like TLG is consolidating their efforts on fewer themes to put more effort on creating better products. It is not always good to have more. Look at Chima. If the metric you use is the number of sets released then it seems that it is far superior theme than Nexo Knights but in my opinion what's more important is how good those products perform in the market. So I am not alarmed LEGO has less themes. For me it is better to have less themes if that means the company can consolidate their efforts on creating better products.
  14. Well, to some people it is the selling point. Consider that TLG even make an effort to distinguish that Boba Fett in Slave I to have arm printing and then release a smaller set WITHOUT arm printing. I think they know people are after him ... and they recognise people will buy bigger set with that small difference in the minifig. I know some people that will do just like that.
  15. Great find! Still no 70590 Airjitzu Battle Grounds ?

  17. Stated like a fact... well, hope that it will be a good one
  18. , then
  19. Well, now that you mentioned it -- I remember Kanan got black hair on early Rebels set and was subsequently changed to dark brown hair... So.... they bothered changing Kanan's hair but totally ignored Sabine got the wrong skin colour?
  20. I'm not a hard-core truck or City fan but I appreciate what you did here. The extent of small details here shows you put much effort on this MOC. Thanks for sharing. Great MOC!
  21. It's great that you can find it in other states. Here, locally... all the TRUs I've been had no stocks within 2 days of release. It is highly on demand compared to Series 15.
  22. I've been diligently reporting spam as I see them... not sure why there is such an increased interest of spammers spamming the forums lately.
  23. Hate is such a strong word... personally, I don't like it... but is there anything we can do to prevent it from mixing? The Friends theme is still under the LEGO brand whether we like it or not and to distinguish that one style should only be confined to one theme or another is out of our control. Anyway, hope that we get a penguin in whatever form it will be.
  24. Oriental vibe is good and I didn't make that comment to discredit any pirate ships release in Ninjago. Personally, I just don't find it the definitive style of Ninjago so I really don't mind not having any of those pirate ships... and therefore I want more dragons that are brick-built (not having those big moulded heads). Also, why limit to just pirate ships... why can't we have more oriental flying airships like the Destiny's Bounty? Also I think we are on topic because we contemplating why there is no confirmed Cole or Kai dragons for 2016... or maybe there is. We just don't know. Re: Dragons - I agree. Re: Pirate ships - I don't agree. See above. Peace!
