  1. Oh I do hope, this thing was incredible
  2. @Kaanere While it's pretty much my favourite car, I really couldn't see TLG making a Huayra - it just doesn't have the same mass appeal that other super/hypercars do. If it had to be red, I could only see it being either a Ferrari, McLaren or Audi R8.
  3. Were there any hypercars that came out at the same time 42083 was released, that had wingdoors and featured prominently in red?
  4. > knows it’s impossible for TLG to control something > blames TLG for it anyway ...what
  5. Don’t blame TLG for this. The stores bypassing embargo dates are solely to blame. If the set isn’t released yet it’s because it’s not ready.
  6. They key difference between 8043 and 42100 is that the former didn’t allow you to use multiple functions at once, whereas the latter does. That’s a big bonus for playability. For those complaining about the empty insides, I’m not exactly sure what you were expecting from a set based on a model with a tall superstructure.
  7. Helical gears have bad frictional properties unfortunately, especially ones at 45 degrees (which is presumably what you’d want from them for Lego). @suffocation I don’t think there’s anything else they could’ve done, especially if they wanted extra reserve torque to be able to tackle inclines. I wouldn’t be so rushed to brand so negatively.
  8. ...that’s not an answer. How would you do it?
  9. How else do you expect them to gear down all the way?
  10. @legozebra Totally agreed. I think it’s time for that V-19, or an ARC-170
  11. I definitely know what you're on about. I found the same phenomenon in Bionicle G1 - some of the parts were made of a harder plastic, like the ball pegs and sockets, whereas armour, feet and weapons were much softer. The same applied in G2, although to different parts. The small tread links are definitely made of a softer plastic
  12. @BrickWild like I said though, that towball's gonna detach if your load's too heavy
  13. Oh would that black sequential selector be in the way of the blue gear if you wanted to swap the red and blue clutches?
  14. Depends on whether Land Rover would allow it. Also, regarding the gears being reversed, can’t you just swap the gears for the hi-lo selector, and then flip the +/- sticker and move that 1L bushing to the end of the moving beam at the start of the video? Doesn’t seem too complicated of a fix
  15. I suspect it’s because Lego likely doesn’t see it worth the cost for new molds for something the consumer base at large isn’t really going to care about. Sorry but yes you are asking for much. That’s four whole new molds.
  16. Those colours hurt my brain, but damn this is a monster
  17. Great review as always c: Btw, do you saturate the colour in your videos? Everywhere else I've seen this set, the green has been a bit brownish, but in your video it's a very rich deep olive green.
  18. Can’t you just flip the + - sticker around?
  19. @allanp @Saberwing40k I think there’s a good case to look at how 42099 and 42030 compare to one another (not for this thread though obviously)
  20. Does that not become cumbersome at some point - when you're spending so much money and space on a single model that you can no longer afford or find the space to display any more?
  21. I just want a UCS Venator
  22. To anyone here who knows a thing or two about metallic manufacturing (like, actually knows), can you speculate as to why TLC didn’t design metallic hubs? @coinoperator I agree with you that it’s a bad idea to actually take Lego mud bogging (despite a set being marketed as an off-roader - c’mon guys why would plastic Lego ever be suitable for off-roading) and not expect it to get damaged, but you gotta step back a bit and calm down. It’s just toys man
  23. Even though I think they’ll definitely use it again in future, I disagree that it’s a very specific thing to say. It just means that no sets have used olive green before, nothing more.
  24. I mean, the max load would be limited by the friction of the cross-axle joint. I think you'd be better off using a Technic beam instead
