How rigid is the connection? Could it be used for suspension arms? -

I think it’s likely that this is a case of Top Gear and F&F riding off the Lego brand name, and as such I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re paying Lego to promote them. -

The trailer shows some black mass moving towards Rey with what could be a cloak of some kind (or not), so we don’t really know what it is. I don’t care about the minifig. I care about the mention that the leaked costume info being correct would make a good minifig, which in turn effectively spoils that he’s back in a physical form. -

Oh jesus, what a horribly ugly car -
I'm still hoping Palps is only going to be a force spirit trying to reincarnate. It'd be a bit cheap for him to have actually survived in physical form, but who knows. I'm not really holding out for a particularly good movie, because everything's going to be with TFA and TLJ in hindsight, and dreaming of what could have been if Lucasfilm sat down to properly plan out the trilogy, instead of rush for money and nostalgia. As such I'm only expecting an entertaining spectacle like TFA. I haven't seen any obnoxiously kiddy stuff like Porgs, which I'm quite happy about, but the horses on the ISD hull were a bit weird. Again though, who knows - maybe they'll serve an actual purpose beyond yay-teamwork. I think it's well past time Star Wars started to mature with its audience. Solo was a step in the right direction, but I'm not holding my breath for TRoS. TL;DR I bet it'll be entertaining, but ultimately disappointing. Also, for anyone complaining about people not liking the sequels, get over it. The thread wasn't titled negatively, and you didn't have to open the thread.

@Mandalorianknight @Lego-Freak The trailer didn't give away anything about his form though, so saying that oh hey we're getting a minifig is a spoiler. -

@bd5400 You've also made a mistake at the hood. All the beams/contours should run parallel until the front -
Let’s clear something up here, because I’ve seen a few dumb opinions going around. Solo didn’t fail at the box office because it sucked, nor did it fail because a vocal minority of absolute hardline nerds decided to boycott Star Wars post-TLJ. Solo failed at the box office because: 1. Disney didn’t bother to market it anywhere near enough, despite the fact that it was going up against Infinity War and Deadpool 2. 2. TLJ’s polarising nature left a lot of casual fans sceptical, especially of a movie that came out so soon after a polarising movie (not even half a year later). I’m friends with a lot of casual fans, and the general consensus is that TLJ had major problems. I’ve never seen anyone in person actually say it was a good movie, fan or not. I can absolutely imagine people not having really wanted to see Solo because they didn’t trust it to be good. 3. People didn’t really want Solo. I sure as hell didn’t (despite really liking it in the end).

I mean, it looks like the TPM royal starship, so I can forgive the gaps and compromises in shaping, but if TLC ever release one I’d want it to be metallic silver at the least.

I really should invest in some black flexible/elastic filament for 3D printing. That way I could make tyres and custom Technic wheels.- 25 replies

Mmmm looks very nice. It’s a pity Lego don’t make thinner tyres in that size- 25 replies

Man that's not fun. I dunno what it is, but I've never had any issues with Lego here in Australia whatsoever, except for the late-G1 Bionicle sockets

@nicjasno How’s your mod coming along? -
It's impressive (and kinda scary) at how much paper is used. Buildings that have heavy paperwork, like medical facilities, have to have paper weight accounted for in the design loads of the building because there's so much. Of course, it doesn't really matter if it's renewably sourced and carbon neutral, but I'd imagine a lot still might not be. That's true of a lot of stuff in modern society, but again, conserve where you can.
