@nerdsforprez Aha, so essentially your argument is basically that it's more effective to build Lego away from the screen, because the novelty of physical instructions is more engaging. Yeah okay, I can get on board with that. Oh my god I know right. Just seeing 42110's instruction book made my heart sink. I'd like to see more complex sets feature an emphasis on compact instructions with creative methods to help understanding. I'm okay with large pictures, but at least populate the available real estate on the paper. There's no call for an entire page devoted to a single 5x11 frame with only black pins sticking out of it. Use of colourful outlining for placement of individual pieces and sub-assemblies would do just the trick.

From an environmental perspective, as long as the instructions are recycled in a carbon neutral cycle, then by all means, please. @nerdsforprez Does the comprehension argument still apply to pictures? Because I'm not sure looking at pictures and reading actual text is the same thing. Reading the abstracts of the linked studies, I can't find any mention of picture comprehension, only text.

I prefer paper too; but I disagree with this. Phones are going to exist regardless of digital instructions, and they also have a vastly greater range of uses than instructions, so really the recyclability of either (phones can get recycled too by the way) can’t really be compared - one is single use and the other is multiple use.

I’d figure that at that size they may just put a small crane on it. No MLAs or anything, just a basic linkage -

If it did then it'd very likely be RC. A licensed RC supercar with pneumatics? Eeeeehhh I'm not sure that's likely to happen at all :c -

Yeah, unless it's making a prominent return in next year's movie then I don't really see how the leak could be possible. That being said if it turns out to be true I'll eat my words. -

Lol I would be very doubtful that the F&F license fits within TLC's values. -

But historically it basically has. -
It'd be interesting to see if your case was just a freak accident or if it's more frequent.

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I thought that stores buy sets from Lego, and then resell at their own decided price, with TLC completely out of the equation because they've already been paid. -
42110 - Land Rover Defender

Anyone else find the back a bit empty? The rear window seems huge and empty without some sort of frame around the glass on the boot door -
Ooh nice, I am now satisfied that the bucket slam is real Whats up with the censoring behind the cabin towards the end?

I’m having the same issues. I’ve taken a look at the drivetrain spooling up as I move the car and it’s just slack building up because of the amount of gears. It’s a bit of a shame, I’ll admit. A smooth gearbox would’ve been nicer. Meanwhile, I’ve taken my attention to other things like endlessly bouncing the car up and down like a basketball. The suspension is SO BOUNCY -
Selling the motors individually would mean less profit for TLC, because some people won't be buying the thousand+ part sets that the motors would otherwise come with. If you want to make money, don't sell something individually if you can force anyone who wants it to buy something they otherwise wouldn't get. Personally, for me this isn't an issue as I'll be be getting 42100 in the near future, so I'll have a large supply of hubs and motors for the future, as well as my current PF collection. However, for people who want a smart hub, but can't afford 42099 or 42100 it'd be an especially dick move on TLC's behalf to not sell these C+ components individually. Regarding the generic application, it would be free and wouldn't be profitable.

The royal starships? Dunno what others think but I've never looked at a MOC (even the chrome ones) and thought hell yeah that looks good.

Ah man this is so cool, great job I hate to be impolite, but is there any chance at instructions or some more detailed photos in the near future? The breakaway view helped greatly, but there’s still bits scattered around I haven’t been able to figure out.

While true, I feel like that’s besides the point, because they’re always gonna do that.
