I've thought about extra functions for a bit, and I think there could be a way to include a folding mechanism for the main wing that folds the nacelles at the same time. You'd need a differential to control the tilting function both independently and by the main wing rotation. Not sure if there's a way to accommodate powered folding rotors, but manually would be easy enough with removable pins. Good enough for me Tempting to buy this in a year to try, but I don't wanna give Boeing money

What's this? Are you sure about the elevators? The beams behind the panels look to be fixed by pins, so I don't really see any way they could rotate.

Agreed, functionality needs flexibility to facilitate it. For the Technic PU MOC scene to grow properly, PU needs a power distributor attachment to allow for more than four motors per smart hub, or more than two motors per PU hub to get around the size constraint of the smart hub. Until that happens, PU is not flexible enough. Considering that such a piece would likely need to show up in a set to even get developed to begin with, I don’t think it’ll ever happen. As such, we’re probably stuck with this for the next decade. Hail corporate. -

It’s definitely interesting. My brain keeps telling me there’s something weirdly Chinese about this livery, but I have no idea why I think that. -

Agreed, it seems like a very long set That pic of the A60H suddenly makes me worried there won’t be suspension of any kind -

Looking at the motorised functions label on the Osprey, that white blob is the new dumb battery box. Looks like it is indeed the same casing as the smart hub ah well, not much to be done with the new unstackable cable plugs. It also looks to me like there’s some sort of black joystick/lever towards the tail of the tiltrotor -

WTF, I hope they introduce dumb motors without position encoding, or at least update the old PF motors to have PU connectors. That's extortionately expensive. -
Assuming it is indeed a V22, I would expect at least the following functions: Spinning blades Tilting nacelles, possibly linked to flaps? Manual horizontal stabilizer (joystick unlikely, maybe lever actuation like in 42052) Linked manual rudders (same control as above) Landing gear retraction Opening cargo bay door The following I would hope for, but wouldn't be surprised if they left out: Steering nose gear Collective pitch Folding main wing + rotors About the orange and black colour, I actually had the same thoughts that it could be a coast guard-type deal we're getting here.

Are you trying to sarcastically call out some sort of hypocrisy? Because that machine doesn't harm trees, its job is to dig them up with their roots and then relocate them. As to the feasibility of that, the whole reason that mechanism works is because it's built with dense steel, has a 20T truck to further weigh it down, has sharp blades that can apply an extremely high pressure to slice through the dirt and has water to make them slippery. I don't think a plastic model can achieve the same feat with blunt Technic panels, unless it's very heavy and cuts into loose dirt or even sand.

Nice work, but feels just a little bit lacking. Will you compare the Sian to the Chiron and 911 to greater depth in the future? I felt the review didn't really give a good feel for the state of the Sian's transmission and drivetrain (smoothness, etc). I know this is a topic many of us would appreciate finding out more information about, especially given the problems the predecessors had.

42108 - Mobile Crane

@Cumulonimbus any chance you can share the .lxf of that bootleg crane? I’ve been looking for its instructions everywhere because I wanted to replicate it but haven’t been able to find them at all.
