  1. Looks like they've mixed other clone brands in with it too (which isn't really a big deal if a buyer's okay with it). They've given full credit to Charbel and seem to be selling the physical model itself
  2. Sorry, what I mean is that the way you've worded it could be interpreted as saying that there are only two options: buy the set and provide feedback, or not buy it and not provide feedback. vs It's a small quirk of the English language, but the first implies that not buying the set and not providing feedback are mutually exclusive, which obviously isn't the case. I know you didn't mean it, but some people could still misunderstand
  3. Nice, didn’t think we’d see footage of the official set already. In your opinion, do you think there’s a way to modify the wheelbase to articulate like the real locomotive?
  4. Even though it’s obviously not intended, your comment could be twisted to mean that you should buy a Lego model regardless of whether it’s good or bad lol
  5. I don't think a year is enough time to analyze the market performance, brainstorm new ideas and design an AFOL set properly
  6. So while I still don’t like the wheel setup they did i.e. splitting the driving rods, I’m very happy that they at least included one wheel set without flanges to make the proper setup possible. Might end up buying it
  7. That mudguard is significantly lighter than the LBG beam next to it though isn’t it?
  8. @agrof That looks really good. Do you reckon you could do a mudguard for the front wheel too?
  9. That being said, the innermost AND outermost "driving" wheels all have rubber bands, so that leaves open the opportunity to modify this set to articulate realistically for those of us who don't have spare Lego rubber bands on standby. Shame they're not black
  10. Technically yes, but you don't need much to figure out this is exactly what they're doing. Why else would they: separate the driving rods from the wheels in the middle, and have all six wheels flanged If the wheel configuration was set up realistically, either the innermost driving wheels or the middle driving wheels would have no flanges or else it couldn't go around corners. Since all three axles per end have flanges, and the drivers don't extend to the innermost wheels, it indicates that the innermost wheels will be fixed to the middle section.
  11. Man I hate that they went for this solution. It’s such a lame cop out, especially since it’s been done properly in MOCs and runs well. They totally should’ve routed the power into each bogie
  12. But then people would just buy the kits and build the cars with pieces from their collection. I know I would
  13. If it makes you feel any better, I think that your version looks much more accurate.
  14. Nah he means translation at the base. If you look at a front photo of the Sian and the set, the real doors swing further out at the base
  15. That’s genuinely amazing. Seems like it needs a little bit of tuning though lol
  16. Yeah, it'd need to be removed unfortunately. There might be a way to stiffen it from above though, so who knows really
  17. @Ngoc Nguyen I think it might be doable with some modifications, although the rotors will need to be folded manually
  18. Apologies, I must have misunderstood. Ultimately, using just one hub would be vastly preferred, BUT combining the AA and AAA hubs (if they do a receiver then that AAA hub is gonna be really good) does indeed mean that your space requirements are a little bit less demanding (even if not by that much).
