Have you seen how the Wanted List works? It's all gone. No prices, only "by shop". -
Technic Pub

Bricklink has just turned to ... Well, go find out for yourselves. I now need a drink. -
Yes, I did read the "hardcore heretic non-purist" part in your greetings post :) I reckon, just a few photos on your brickshelf should do the trick. Making a new post on EB could be the start of some serious rock throwing :D

Really like how you adapted the original design. I think there is a lot of value in rebuilding old classics in studless beams. I'm interested to find out what wheel covers did you use for the version with the white body and red chassis? I saw that you hand painted them. I'm just wondering if they are purchased or made by yourself.

Very entertaining reading! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes they had their own mini Stocklin running at home. I suppose they must also have some really fancy machine to check each piece for imperfections before loading it into that waste bin (which looks like a boat load of fun!) Thanks for all the high quality photos. Gives me more insight than most of the documentaries I watched.

[MOC] Baja Buggy
SevenStuds replied to Epic Technic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Really liked your video editing and music. Its a bit of a downhill racer, but that doesn't bother me. The speed makes it worth the low torque gearing. -
While I have no issue with a small amount of well selected third party parts, supporting companies that create replicas of any kind just wouldn't feel rewarding. I'd either just cough up the cash or use red pneumatic hoses, knowing that at least they are "authentic" alternates.

While Lifelites and Brickstuff are excellent alternatives if you are looking for different effects and a compact setup. However, if you find standard PF lights expensive, you could look into wiring up your own using RC or CAR LEDs. The lights will cost you about 2 euros, but if you also have to consider the connectors and crimping tool to apply them if you want neat connections. Hope this helps.

Today I don't think there is one official model that is not based on a real world or TV counterpart. I suppose LEGO figured out that they sell more of the items that buyers can relate to. People want a Porsche or a Mini Cooper on their shelves, and LEGO simply becomes the way its made. If they make their own concept car, then the designer becomes "LEGO" too and buyers would be left scratching their heads. But on the flip side, I would be very eager to build a concept car unrelated to anything we see online or at a motor show. We definitely don't see enough of those around.

Seeing this makes me wish I had a compressor. The turbine is nicely done, and the tests you did on the changeover catch answer a few of my questions regarding its use at high speeds. Nice job on the rat-face

Blastyphon creation

I always like seeing some of the non-Technic parts (Bionicle in this case) being used in Technic builds. There are so many parts that can be used from other genres, that it really opens new doors. -

Very happy that this model is getting the FrontPage recognition it deserves. Dare I say that I like it more than the Porsche.- 220 replies

Very clear representation. I especially like the clever and minimal use of parts for the body and details. The blue one is definitely my top choice.- 21 replies

SBrick General Discussion
SevenStuds replied to Nofer89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great to know that the software is being developed in this way! If the SBrick unit can now communicate with a PC, then could we eventually see this as a complete alternative to Mindstorms? On the hardware side, would there ever be a way to start connecting Mindstorms or WeDo sensors to the SBrick?- 771 replies

Looks like these tires were used here, but it seems that the builder had to add 3D printed rings over the LEGO rims to make the tires hold properly.
