Totally agree..I was brought up with the original series, but WB Animation really kick-started Batman as an art form for TV (along Tim Burton`s cinema visions) and Batman TAS deserves the Lego treatment..................only at a more realistic price point.

It is and it looks great ,can we please have a close up?............please?!! and Hulk_Smash;-- getting the bonnet piece will cost you a lot less than the Grod Set is going to cost me..................my wife has a "homing radar" for when I buy Lego....so you have put me into a world of hurt, but keep modding away brother!!
-
this is really neat,I recemtly modded my first mech; the Hulkbuster ( http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=122348 ),I`m a fan of the Bat and love exo-suits and mechs, but I initially got the Hulkbuster, cos I didn`t like the look of the Grod set at all; but you have changed the look of the "Bat-bot" to what Lego should have done in the first place and made it more "beefy" and far more business-like....which means it`s now on my wanted list!...................

DC Super Heroes - 76052 Batman™ Classic TV Series - Batcave

Captain Britain, you are not a sucker at all. It`s a free country, I agree with Cobb, but in the end it`s up up you. What has disapointed me ,is the rude ,patronising attitude of Brickhithouse and I would like to formally complain to any Moderator reading this. We are all meant to be adults (AFOLs!)and civility costs nothing. -
Very nice, it`s a brilliant design and build!

The recent Classic Batman Cave/Wayne Manor Set.............just an over-priced cynical attempt to squeeze money out of us..............also it`s annoyingly a mix of some very good and also very crappy and unfinished looking elements.....AAAAHHHH!!

this be a winner...

I`m pretty old, but I recall an underwater (Atlantean) Marvel hero called Namor -the Submariner ..he was a counter-part to DC`s Aquaman/Black Manta..don`t think we`ll ever see him ,but he would have opened up an underwater aspect of the Marvel Universe..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namor he also fought alongside Bucky and Captain America

I love this!...I got a mint Indy minifig as a surprise "secret Santa" present from a work-mate at Christmas,- he`s been lying in my spares box. But now I`m going to have to do something with him. Whatever it is ,it won`t come close to what you have done, it`s a brilliant build and the photos are superb!

Hulkbuster (little Mod!) and first "Marvel" Set build
r5-j2 replied to r5-j2's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the kind comments, the world of Lego Star Wars hasn`t been too exciting recently, but with the current crop of DC/Marvel sets to choose from ;plus the upcoming "Dawn Of Justice" and "Civil War" sets there will be plenty to keep me happy (and my bank account not so happy!!) Byeee! -
Here`s my first attempt at a Superheroes build,I borrowed bits from the Junior`s Iron Man/Loki set and tidied up the leg joints/replaced the stud shooters and the chest section................until now I hadn`t thought about much else other than Star Wars..but this is a great first set to get if you are thinking of branching out!....I`m totally hooked now! Good to see Vader`s TIE advanced (and A Wing) coming.................I loves TIEs;................

this set mirrors the recent Classic Batcave set (http://www.eurobrick...50#entry2479873 ) in that it is basically collection of quite nice small sets stuffed into one box ,with an eye-watering price tag!..................eh thanks ,but no thanks Lego!.................p.s. can any one else see a pattern forming here?

DC Super Heroes - 76052 Batman™ Classic TV Series - Batcave
r5-j2 replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree with you Boromir; this set is an awkward unfinished lookin` mess..o.k. it has all the gadgets/vehicles I remember ,but the price is a joke! and when compared to the recent Ghostbusters H.Q.; this Bat-cave looks more like a work in progress, that should still be on a Lego designers desk...not a finished article ready for sale -
An old Ford pickup would be sweet and a much needed change, but if it has to be an European make ,then a non-Porche/Ferrari classic from the sixties/seventies would be the way to go (cos TLG have done enough Porche/Ferrari sets already)....my favourite would be the Citreon DS (With working variable height suspension )or it`s ancestor the Traction Avant, from the forties.

Matti ,I`m in agreement with you in that this set is a real missed opportunity;-I AM old enough to remember all the elements of the original series...Lego have got most of them into the box, but it is a really awkward, mess!;certainly not worth £230....as for Jang ,check out his reviews, he tends not to be a Lego "company" man, but gives more often than not ,a fair review of what-ever is in front of him. regards Kenny. -
Now we are cooking by gas!..that Camaro has a color scheme that is stunning! (hope Lego do a muscle car ,instead of another (yawn!) European super-car!)

I`d never heard of Brick Adjuster until now , but many thanks for the link Penmanovic and you are 100% right; it can be "adjusted" to look much, much better. -

I`ve just seen Jangbricks review and he echoes the view of several folk on this forum that this set has some outstanding elements , but looks more like a bunch of potentially great smaller sets cobbled together in one very expensive box..there`s also an awkward unfinished look to it too...what do you think?....... -
Obi Wan`s red star fighter; not the best set I`v ever bought , but it`ll look o.k I suppose beside the yellow one.

Hell`s teeth, I`ve just bought this set, before reading this review!....which goes to show how important Eurobricks`s reviewers are!...................as they say;- "a fool and his money are soon parted",-so read first and (maybe?) buy later.

I like the "yellow/aged" bricks.. it gives it what antiques collectors call a "patina",it fits nicely in with the retro look ; a nice change from the crisp , split new look you normally get.

Keep em` coming, Lego is becoming more complicated and hence more expensive than it has to be, Lego will sets very be close to ,but never quite as accurate an exact scale miniature of any vehicle/structure...but that is the charm of Lego...a set may be completely recognisable when built as say a TIE fighter, but it is still a Lego set and that is the joy of it!
