  1. 2nd attempt with more bits.....................(I`m starting to see lego in my sleep!!)
  2. It sucks, doesn`t it!!..................................
  3. I decided to recycle; this is a watch packaging box ,zapped with some black paint and a LEGO logo added, it looks quite cool and will do until I get enough building parts squirreled away to build a proper diorama (like Sigpro and others have done so well!).Also it handy for doing fotos of builds and I am now looking around for other bits and bobs that could be used. Take care Kenny.
  4. It`s the planet Creda!!!
  5. Thanks for the kind offer Sigpro, but now I`ve got the Lego bug, I don`t see myself being able to afford salmon ever again (would you settle for sardines?)...............
  6. Thanks <I just didn`t have any large pukka parts to hand;
  7. Yep gilty to the knock-off bricks , no the winglets do clear the deck (I mean hob! )
  8. Well I only sad tweaked!............ ( that said my grandson might "donate" a spare microfighter to the cause!)
  9. here`s what happens when your great grandson leaves a bag of his spares parts lying around; before and after;
  10. Thanks.........................this is the most satisfying hobby I`ve come across, I`m now officially an AFOL!!
  11. more pics; as promised;
  12. Thanks;will do some more pics,it`s just finding a decent back-drop to photograph the thing !
  13. Hi everybody, this is the first time I`ve built a Lego set with a decent parts count and to honest, I initially found it terrifying .I`m used to plastic 1/35 scale armour kits ,where all the parts are on sprues already numbered so pouring the contents of bag 1 onto my building tray just seemed wrong.How could this pile of bits become a TIE fighter ,anyway after bag 1 was done, I found a "building rhythm" and a TIE appeared !............ I love the look of this ship ,the Lego designers are geniuses and I`m hooked and hoping for a re-issue of Vader`s TIE now it has featured in Star Wars Rebels . Byeee! Kenny.
  14. Cool!
  15. Yes ,I agree, I`ve just built the "Improved TIE prototype" as my Star Wars first space-craft, but I still want more TIEs! (does anyone on the forum perhaps have an inside track on what`s coming from LEGO.?)
  16. Got directed here by Mr Man, who gave me a link to this thread!
  17. Will Lego re-issue Vader`s T.I.E. fighter, now that it has featured in the Rebels episode "Siege of Lothal" ?.Even if they only re-box it,I`d still love to have it !
  18. Thanks doc, the LEGO world looks to be amazing, addictive (and a serious threat to my bank account !)
  19. This is a quick intro of meself and how I came to be building Lego in my 50`s .Basically used to build a lot 1/48 and 1/35 scale plastic armor kits,but I go bored ..then I bought my great grandson the Lego mini figure encyclopaedia, with the all white Boba Fett and a couple of Minifighter sets.I helped in the build and I was hooked.The Jedi Starfighter, Impoved TIE prototype are waiting ,but I did the Geonosis Troopers first (only I swapped out the blue shoot-able studs for black ones).I love LEGO, especially the mini-figures! Regards Kenny.
