    Yes, a wonderful point. This strategy does nothing for Castle minifigures fans, and there aren't enough CMF offerings to fill that void.

    I don't think that LEGO Space was only successful because there was no Star Wars LEGO at the time. I think there was an actual appeal there. And I think it could still be successful, even without the nostalgia. That said, nostalgia would help it be even more successful. Look at the successes in the LEGO Movie and the Exo-Suit. I hope they continue this.

    I don't think it needed to be posted in multiple threads, but thank you for sharing. To the comments about Modulars appealing to Castle fans, they definitely do. Of course, I agree that they do not appeal as much currently because of more focus on modern things and brighter colors. That said, I'm glad they are considering the idea of having Castle themed Expert modulars.

    Well, 5 active pilots at any time. I would love the full team. I would love a full theme. Zarkon, Lotor, and Haggar would be awesome, especially the 80s versions. And yes, this Voltron is supposed to be based on the original 80s show.

    Why is that? Of course I would have preferred 2 raptors! I guess I can accept $40 for 360 pieces considering licensing, but another raptor would have made it much more worth it. Still, it's an easy decision to get this.

    Sorry for the double post. The Mammoth doesn't look too bad, actually, from what I can see. And there's another small animal coming in these sets. I have no idea what it is, but it looks almost like a rodent.

    TRU certainly charged a premium. Depending on the set, I've seen anywhere from $0.50 - $5.00 upcharges. They did often have sales and coupons, as well as their membership and credit card for additional discounts, but typically they were more expensive than other retailers. LEGO could diversify their offerings by adding in a medieval line of products... Maybe bring back Castle...

    I would also support a redesigned or updated version of the 6059 Knight's Stronghold. I was a big fan of the Black Gate set from Lord of the Rings, and in many ways it was an updated version of 6059. I believe it may also have been made for a slightly higher age range. The age range of the Fantasy Era sets and the Tolkien sets would be a better starting point than typical Castle sets. It is only a year or 2 beyond the typical Castle range, but creates more nuanced builds with more sophisticated techniques while keeping the lay features. Nexo Knights and Ninjago are also in this age range, so it's not completely impossible or illogical. The age range doesn't have to be raised completely to an AFOL age to be more favored by an AFOL audience. Castle can still be aimed at children while having more AFOL appeal. It seems to me that raising the lower end of the range by a year or 2 is all that would be necessary.

    Fair enough, I want those balloons too. But the Cactus is great, and may work well as an actual cactus.
