Yeah, it's a shame it wasn't better. I loved the premise and the visuals, and would love to see more of that universe.

Agreed. The acting from the 2 leads could have been much better. And the story took some weird detours, but I get that it was following a comic book plot. Still, I found it an enjoyable watch. But like I said, I went in expecting it to be a steaming pile of crap. It was a few lukewarm turds dressed up really nice. Gorgeous. Especially the opening sequence.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 Rumors and Discussion

I managed to get my Cacti, my Dragons, and an Elephant yesterday, with a little help from my good friend. So thanks to him for that! Also got the Clown a few days ago. Not sure what um going to do with the minifigure, just wanted his balloons. So happy to have them. The Dragon looks so good, and even better using the spare Orca head I have. -
I saw that one before all the hype (and was therefore part of hyping it up), and I thought it was fantastic. No problem! The same thing happened to me with Arrival, so I figured it might not have been as good as it looked, or maybe it didn't perform well at the box office. Well, it actually made quite a bit of money and was reviewed strongly. It even got 8 Oscar nominations. It turned out to be a great movie, every bit as good as I had hoped when I saw the original trailers.

You guys listed some great projects that I was already supporting, but thanks for the Medieval House link. While I would likely have come across it, I'm happy to see it here. I love the Clockwork Aquarium. It's a nice build. It's functional. It's kind of adorable. And it's classy. Support it.

I don't watch enough. Mostly the big ones as far as science fiction goes. Oblivion was great, and so was Edge of Tomorrow, (both with Tom Cruise). I don't know if it counts, but I really liked Arrival. Ender's Game was good, if you don't think about the books too much. And if you go in with low expectations, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is OK. There are a couple of other science fiction movies I would recommend, but they don't take place in space, nor do they involve alien life. I would suggest Chappie and Ex Machina.

It would be great to have more villains for American colonization MOCs. -
I enjoyed that film, even if I had trouble with certain parts, like making the timeline work. The concept was really cool, and it was visually pleasing.

That would be fun! Especially if they focus on harder to find colors. -

That's not an entirely bad idea. I wouldn't mind seeing something like this at all. -
It's still not great if each individual set is unimpressive on its own.

I really do like the looks of that polybag.

I agree. I would love a Mountie or a Bushman. And a history themed CMF series sounds pretty cool. -

Not an outright bad idea, but it could run the risk of offending those cultures. -

Of the people mentioned, I think only Abe Lincoln's existence has really be proven. So while the other characters may have a relevance to history, in my opinion only Lincoln is truly a historical figure. He is also a political figure, albeit from an era around 150 years ago. But I'd rather not enter into a debate here on the status or authenticity of these clearly important world figures. Back to discussing future CMF series. What other themes would we like to see as the focus of a non-licensed CMF series? Perhaps a nature theme? Many such minifigures have proven popular, from the Tree suit in the City theme or the Lumberjack CMF from series 11 to the recent Flower Pot and Cactus suits from series 18. I could see adding a couple of similar suits, maybe an animal suit or 2. Then there could be characters like a gardener or landscaper. Even things like an agricultural scientist, a geologist, or a hunter could be included. To really stretch the appeal to everyone, include a medieval shepherd and an alien ecologist or something. Anyways, just an idea. -

Despite what I said about religion, I'd love a Baphomet minifigure. -

I'm hoping to see the suit in black or grey, personally. Then I could really make use of it in a build. -
Should be a better movie than The Last Jedi. It will not make as much money as The Last Jedi because of timing. TLJ followed the incredible The Force Awakens, so many were expecting something up to that caliber and spent the money to get tickets. Now, many were disappointed by TLJ, and are disillusioned with Star Wars. Because of that, there are many who will not see Solo out of frustration with the IP and IP holders.
