  1. Let's hope so! I'm really excited to see how it looks.
  2. Yeah, that was a nice little set, too. I do still vastly prefer molded animals.
  3. So there's no printing on the Dragon wings:
  4. Yeah, you pretty much nailed it. But it is all of those things, including color and complexity. Still, generic bricks are great but I do want specialized bricks, minifigures, and accessories. I do want molded animals instead of generic brick-built creatures. And Creator will never give me that. So Creator will never fill the void of Castle, Pirate, and Space sets that I want, because it will never offer the variety of pieces and accessories that I want to see in those themes. That is, unless it is done at the highly sophisticated Expert level. I would love to see those themes represented in Creator Expert.
  5. Buli van! I'm looking forward to the Fireboy Boy, the Cricket Boy, and the Cowboy Sisters Boy. But seriously, thanks for providing that bit of text.
  6. That's what I was talking about. And you could even use the "Quest" part of the name to imply connection without the themes being directly connected. Maybe "Quest to the Orient" or something similar. But even that is unnecessary.
  7. As far as the Harry Potter thing goes, the rumor about no Great Hall in the full Hogwarts isn't confirmed, and honestly the Hogwarts would feel incomplete for a $500 set if it lacked a major component of the castle structure. But I do see what you're getting at. I'd love to see a nice Castle theme where all of the sets can fit together via Technic pins, creating a more unified kingdom. Pirates 2015 did this as well. And topping off a complete Castle theme like that with a large flagship Castle set would work wonders. This way, children and adults can enjoy a fleshed out theme with sets across price points that all work well together, and adults will be happy to see a large D2C set with a higher difficulty level, like the Tower of Orthanc was for the Lord of the Rings theme.
  8. I don't, honestly. Also, these theorized Action and Adventure themes could all be correlated even if there was no unifying theme. Just have a character or two repeat in various single year themes, and they will be connected by that.
  9. This dark red piece from the Hulkbuster Iron Man is listed out of stock, but has a number: 6220561. Catwoman's torso is available: 6173660.
  10. Yeah, that Nightwing Armor is going to be fantastic for fleshing out a Bat faction.
  11. Looking back at those themes, they were rather unimpressive iterations of the themes. Me, too. "Great" is the key word of that sentence.
  12. I blame Nexo Knights. But seriously, there hasn't been a whole lot drawing me in these last couple of years.
  13. I wonder what would be different about the goat versus the pig, skunk, or other similar animals.
  14. Sorry, "they." And I don't think it has to be a yearly thing. Don't know why it would. One per theme (3 years for Castle) would be fine. I don't think your second is relevant.
  15. I'm of the opinion that there could be both a castle set aimed at adults as well as a castle set aimed at kids in the typical $100 range. You may not think there is an audience for it, but I think we can only find out by trying.
  16. And write. I may give this a chance, as long as it doesn't cost me more money.
  17. OK, let's do that then. Who was Ninjago City aimed at? How about the rest of the Ninjago Movie line?
  18. A goat would be amazing. I don't expect to see a cow or other large animal like a horse with a CMF, but I didn't expect the Dolphin, so who knows. Maybe a Centaur could be in order.
  19. Yeah, that'd be fantastic.
  20. The idea of a big Castle with a Keep could really work if we think of the way that the Creator Expert modular buildings or UCS style Star Wars sets are done. Also, think about sets like the SHIELD Helicarrier, Metal Beard's Sea Cow, the Disney Castle, Ninjago City, and maybe the rumored Hogwarts for later this year. That's the direction I think we could move with the Castle theme. I don't think it's a far-fetched proposition to imagine a large Castle themed structure with 2000+ pieces. That said, I'm not sure it's sustainable every year, but if a Castle theme lasts roughly 3 years there could be one large flagship set for each iteration of the Castle theme. Obviously, that could be increased if there was a lot of success. And the same could be done with other "evergreen" themes of LEGO history, like Space and Pirates. I consider the current Creator Expert modular line to be City themed, even though it technically falls into the Creator theme. So while I think there is a chance that these "evergreen" themes could find a place in the Creator Expert series, I would much prefer they get their own independent releases so that City fans could continue to get their yearly modular build.
  21. I still say that there should be a darker purple. LEGO's dark purple color is called "medium lilac" officially. Let's get a dark lilac, please.
  22. OK, but how about a good one?
  23. Yes, there are different points of view about what would make a good Castle theme, and not everyone will be pleased with every iteration of the theme. So they should continue to try, so that eventually everyone's needs will be met over time, and will continue to be met every few iterations. I'd love to see them devote that much to a Castle set. It would be great for some kids and many adult collectors.
