  1. For the curious here is how I mounted the Servo motor to Lego IMG_0589 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr IMG_0598 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr IMG_0599 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr and also after remembering I took these photos here are two of the very early prototypes IMG_0342 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr IMG_0541 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr that was the 3rd and 4th prototypes or this (Don't have pictures of the 1st and 2nd)
  2. Sorry for my incompetence but why are there two outputs.
  3. Dang! Now I feel better about melting 3 parts together after I saw this! You never said but how big was the motor you were using? a 550. For my next project I'll just use my 550 12T motor I think using a Nimh battery would be good for you this, also they don't turn into a angry fireball like LiPo's do so that a plus
  4. Very good C-model, looks better then the original.
  5. Looks a lot better then mine! Have you had problems with parts melting or did you use grease? My projects have been put to a halt since my motor I have been getting keeps destroying itself after 5-10min of use Maybe brushless was the way to go.
  6. Yea I went to bricklink today and though I went to the wrong site for a second.
  7. Looks good so far but I really think it could be made 4x4 with some trial and error.
  8. I have seen this MOD-tribute before and I liked it a lot, I am hoping to get the original but eventually. BTW I like the description of the transmission video
  9. Jealousy alert! That must have been an awesome experience for you, maybe you get to go back and do it again.
  10. Thanks I'll be getting this soon!
  11. After going to my local hobby shop I found some Traxxas U-Joint sets and I bought them as a experiment to use them with Lego, and it worked! IMG_0587 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr IMG_0588 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr All I had to do was shave down a 3L axle and drill a hole through it and presto! I super strong U-Joint for lego use. In the second picture I found out you could put the new style 8T gear on it and it could be used as an adapter for use with the 8880 wheel hubs.

  13. When I first saw this I though it was a manual model but when I saw it was PF and had suspension I was blown away.
  14. It is about a 1/4 of an inch or 6.35mm
  15. Here is what I found, "Can Diameter: 1.25" (38mm) Shaft Diameter: 0.12" (3mm) Length Including Shaft: 3.2" (81mm) Length Not Including Shaft: 2.3" (57.5mm)" http://www.rcsuperstore.com/Traxxas-550-Titan-12-Turn-Motor-p/tra3785.htm
  16. Don't worry about the purists! You can do two things, put a warning in the video like I did or Since everyone has their own personal opinion just be entitled to yours.
  17. Yes the Lemans was another inspiration to this but I never said this breaks the Lego speed record because I crossed out the Lego
  18. You creation does sound interesting! It would be cool for you to post a topic about this. You can buy all this stuff I used on the internet for about ~$80 depending on where you live, or if you get lucky with a sale, maybe even less depending on which battery you buy.
