  1. The model looks great and performs great and the video was a joy to watch, it would have looked bad megabloks if you had none lego tires on it
  2. I once tried to make a clock, lets just say it was not great but this is amazing.
  3. The performance is good for using differentials, it looks great also.
  4. The second independent suspension looks great, could be useful for a SUV moc.
  5. I have read the rules and it does not say you cant use 3rd party parts... unless I'm blind.
  6. Porsche I dont think its going to qualify for the competition.
  7. Here is a X-wing that I built a couple years ago freehand so I just built it to resemble the X-wing but not an exact copy. The front is so strong that you can wield it like a club and the wings do fold down and lock together. IMG_6859 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr IMG_6860 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr I changed the front suspension completely on this project to have less slack and it is much more rigid now. 8. Really like it but the holes in the front fenders would look better if you filled it with a tiny panel.
  9. They are Traxxas U-joints that I bought from my local hobby shop, I used a metal axle and a worn out New type 8T gear to hold the output axle. The part numbers are #7150 #7057 I have not used them yet but plan too.
  10. Congrats of being funded! I really like this product and might consider buying one.
  11. I live in Texas and it sometimes reaches 40°C here, at least my building space isn't in the attic
  12. IMG_0721 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr IMG_0722 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr My new project using more custom electronics this one uses the 550 12T motor.
  13. Welcome to eurobricks Alex! Your model looks great but it would be cool to see some pictures of it rather then a video.
  14. They stay on fine for a display model but they can slid on the rim like the 9398 wheels or fall of if you were to use them for driving something.
  15. I have seen a lot of other people doing this so I though I would pitch in. Here are a few MOC's I never posted. IMG_0527 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr Rover 2 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr Rover 1 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr IMG_0531 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr If you could not guess its the curiosity rover, I built this a while ago but never really decided to post it. That's all I have for now but I will keep this topic updated on what I'm building.
  16. No but you can shave them down and glue them there with a lathe.
  17. I have not really been interested in this contest but can you use non-lego parts? I'm guessing its no but was just asking.
  18. great scenery and I like the attempts put in there to show oh hard is it to drive one of these without flipping it. From what I can tell you can bump your topics whenever you want unless its just "thanks" for a really old comment or some just bumping the topic to get it back on page 1.
  19. Great review! Do the new tires stick to the rims unlink the 9398 ones?
  20. Ohh my... I cant believe this is a thing! I once watched the cartoon and found it horrible and really childish, maybe its just my opinion.
  21. Thanks! I'll be careful with using them.
  22. always
  23. I got some 8880 hub and z3_2drive told me the wheel hub can break under high stress and I wonder how much stress they can take because my use for them will be very high stress and I don't want to break them for obvious reasons. Thanks JJ2
  24. Yes I have noticed that but thanks for the head up! Have the 3D printed CV adapters broken on any of your models? I have to say I was expecting a lot more "nubs" to grip and hold the part. I might try to modify the 8880 hubs to have more nubs to be more rigid, but have no idea how
