  1. Not just 2 universal joints; there are also 2 CV joints!q
  2. I'd love to believe that, if not for the fact that there's no pole reverse in the inventory... A glimpse at the side panel:
  3. Which, combined with the 4 knob gears, means it's even more likely that barman's steering system was accurate!
  4. I'm drooling so hard at those tyres I can even flood my house
  5. Observations: - There are 3 catchovers in the inventory. Two are visible in the crane, but the side panel of the main body apparently has two switches. One switch links to one catchover, any idea about the other switch? - There is 1 mini turntable. No idea where it's used. - There are 4 new wheel hubs, the ones used in the Porsche.
  6. If that gearbox appears in an official set I'll definitely buy it!
  7. @merman: How is the gears for superstructure rotation designed? Is the transmission only to a bevel gear perpendicular to the turntable, or is it routed to various wedge belt wheels and to the wheel with the tyre too?
  8. The conveyor is only 5L wide, while the truck is wider than that. I saw a worm gear. but haven't seen it anywhere in the set. Any idea where it might be?
  9. I think due to the weight of the blades, the inertia of the rotor is high, so it's inevitable that the rotors still spin when the power disengages.
  10. Well there's no sign of it in the base or in the truck, so it must be in the superstructure. On the same page 550, you can see there are 13 small wheels. 12 of which are already used to brace the bucket wheel, so the remaining one probably goes with the tyre. My guess is that it slides on the gear racks between the superstructure and the base.
  11. I think you can check out the ratchet mechanism in the Helicopter 9396. The ratchet there is used to make sure the rotors only spin in 1 direction.
  12. I've just come up with an idea about a flagship Bucket Chain Excavator and its B-model Dragline Excavator. I think those two would complement well because they are both used for excavation in lower grounds, like the sides of rivers or trenches.
  13. Unprecedented numbers, people: - 75 DBG 15L liftarms - 59 DBG 11L liftarms - 101 LBG 5L liftarms - 724 black 2L pins - 487 blue 3L pins - 112 dirt bricks: 40 DBG 1x1, 40 LBG 1x1, 16 DBG 2x2, 16 LBG 2x2
  14. I believe the Pythagoras used in this case is not 6-8-10, if you are referring to them as measure of studs. The 2 commonly used trios in Lego is 4-5-6 (studs), and 7-9-11 (studs), which is a doubled version of the 4-5-6. The holes on the rim, I believe, are placed so that the 7-9-11 combo can be used.
  15. The number of studs from the center to the rim, including both the stud in the center and the stud on the rim, is actually 11.
  16. The amount of frames is too damn high!! @merman: Since it is out, can you please share the pictures of the inner flap of the box
  17. @kulgen: If possible, can you please flip the cover of the BWE box and take some shots of the inside? I've been dying to see it
  18. My bad, I misread "144 gears" into "144 tracks". Thanks for the correction.
  19. 14 round quadrant racks and 1 bar rack for the truck @merman: Earlier you said there are 144 track links. Is it 144 black + grey or just 144 grey? And how many black links are there? Thanks!
  20. More like Jim's quiet because he isn't the reviewer of this set. Maybe the secret reviewer is merman.
  21. One does not simply collect 53 5x7 frames...
