@ImanolBB: Is there any way to route movement directly from the XL motor to shake the chute, instead of using an extra M motor

This "C-model" looks way cooler than the official B-model: -
Technic 2017 Set Discussion
Ngoc Nguyen replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Milan said in the Technic interview that he, Markus and Lars (designer of Cargo Plane) are the plane geeks, and he wouldn't dare to work on a motorcycle set because the other two designers will kill him. So my impression is that certain designers will work on certain types of model. I think it's highly likely that Milan is the designer of the Jet, and Markus... well we all know what he'll work on -
Technic 2017 Set Discussion

If the Air Race Jet turns out to have motorized functions like that SAAB JA, I would find those functions really uninteresting, if not boring. They aren't much different from those in 42025 Cargo Plane, and I already have the 42025. -

Am I the only one who think the front section of the BMW R1200 GS looks like a bird with an angry expression and sharp beak? -

So now there's even a non-2H-flagship RC set in 1H... And it's not even 1H flagship... And it's not even 100 EUR... What kind of sorcery is that? -

42053 - Volvo EW160E
Ngoc Nguyen replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think 42053 serves as a perfect counterpart to 8043: - Wheel vs Track - Pneumatic functions vs Motorized functions - Realistic appearance vs Mechanical complexity - Black vs Yellow -
42053 - Volvo EW160E
Ngoc Nguyen replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I, on the contrary, consider the Volvo as better-looking than the 8043. 8043 to me doesn't have a clear, consistent color pallet. It's predominantly gold with some dark grey here and some black there. The 42053, is much more uniform and consistent It is a solid black cube with clear yellow areas and orange accent. It also have many realistic details, and the curves in the back is nicely constructed -
42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator

Another review: According to that review it's almost impossible to push or rotate the BWE manually. However if you disengage the two CV joints then you can push or rotate the BWE very smoothly. -
After attaching the motor and battery box to the Volvo, I realized that the direction of the battery box is also limited one way. So it can be said that all sets with power function in 2H 2016 adopt this technique. However I don't really understand the purpose of that limit in the Volvo. It makes sense to do so in the Claas and BWE because the cab and bucket wheel need to rotate in one direction only. But in the Volvo the motor only rotates the pump. Is there any difference between rotating the pump clockwise and anticlockwise?

I also think the same about the track speed. The B-model is supposed to be a factory on tracks, and on the same scale as the A-model. A factory doesn't move as if it's racing across the quarry like that. -

B model review in Russian and English sub It looks like the filter can't sort out all the small bricks. Some small bricks still get out on the belt for large bricks. -

Assuming that we can have that mobile launchpad as a set, what can its function be?

For me the Claas and BWE are the first sets to have that. If you consider BWE the first then obviously the Claas is not

One amazing thing about this set that you seem to have not mentioned is that, this is the first set (or one of the few sets) that intentionally limit the battery box direction.

I can now afford either Porsche or BWE. I don't play much with my sets because I go to work all day, so I prefer sets with realistic details and display value. I already have Claas and Volvo. Should I get Porsche or BWE?
