  1. I've always wanted something like the Unimog (different attachments at both sides, big tyres) but not the Unimog set itself because I find the Unimog set pretty lame. But now I've found what I wanted: the Xerion! The Xerion is like the Unimog but way way way cooler: - It's a farming machinery, not another truck, so it adds diversity to my collection. - It doesn't have lousy pneumatics. - It doesn't have a lousy crane. - It doesn't have a non-functional dump bed. - It doesn't look like a downgrade from another set (MB Arocs) - It doesn't have lousy suspensions. - It doesn't have boring winch. - It has way way way cooler steering. Definitely a must-get for me.
  2. Wait what the model can actually SORT bricks? :O My mind is blown...
  3. That B-model is not as good as I hope. Why wouldn't Lego choose a trencher... All the more reason for me not to buy this set.
  4. Even the box shows that the base of BWE is bending: https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1589/24331317000_51cdf15a81_b.jpg
  5. So, when upgraded, where can the BBox and the motor be?
  6. I see what you mean. So the accurate description should be: Center switch: - Going up: Move bucket wheel and two conveyor belts, enable upper switch, disable lower switch. - Going down: Do nothing, enable lower switch, disable upper switch. Upper switch rotates the superstructure. Lower switch move the two tracks which are linked by the same axle. In other words the BWE can not steer. The question now is that why Markus made the rotation of superstructure dependent on (happens only) when the bucket wheel is rotating?
  7. Not sure if because of shooting angle or because of the weight, but the base is bending significantly.
  8. Upper switch rotates the superstructure. Center switch control bucket wheel rotation and two conveyor belts. This switch can only be turned one direction because it doesn't make sense for the bucket wheel and the conveyor belts running backwards. Lower switch move the two tracks which are linked by the same axle. In other words the BWE can not steer.
  9. 3 motorize functions, the switches change the direction of functions, instead of changing the functions. It seems like the switch on the battery box can only be turned in 1 direction (away from the wire).
  10. 300 EUR is way too out of my league. I'm not very sad to say that BWE won't find its place in my house.
  11. Functional dumping body, functional tailgate, wheel chocks, realistic 4 mirrors, exclusive gear racks.
  12. I really really wonder if any model in the future can go higher than the 3972 part size.
  13. From what I saw in the video, I think the BWE only has THREE motorized functions: - Spinning the bucket wheel, which is connected to both the upper and lower conveyor belts. - Spinning the super structure. - Moving the tracks back and forth (tracks of both sides are linked). There are 3 separate switches, so I think the setup is similar to that of the 42042: turning a switch changes the direction, not the function. The bucket wheel switch can only be turned in 1 direction, though.
  14. BWE's B model: Mobile Aggregate Processing Plant!

  16. IMO, Volvo is a joke. A big joke. It's supposed to have a excavator bucket, not 2 clamshells... The clamshells don't rotate also... *big sigh of disappointment* About the BWE, it's funny that Markus went all the way to make various motorized functions, but moving the boom is manual... It's even more absurd that the BWE uses the standard excavator bucket, but Volvo doesn't.
  17. The Volvo was revealed to be 70 GBP, which is approximately 91 EUR and 100 USD. I'd expect 5 pneumatic cylinders because the real one has 5.
  18. I'm still a bit appalled by the fact that Xerion has a crane. Everything has a crane. First Unimog, then Arocs, now Xerion. I wouldn't be surprised if one day Lego made a car or a front loader with a crane. If you like it then you should have put a crane on it (~' ')~
  19. Or maybe it's a trick to push the part count limit.
  20. Or perhaps we will get 2 trenchers as the B-model: one with the bucket wheel, one with tracked digger.
  21. I think to demonstrate the bucket wheel function, there must be enough bricks to fill a small box, so that the bucket wheel can come down and swoop them.
  22. I wouldn't be surprised if 200-300 of the 3000 pieces turn out to be Lego dirt blocks which helps the BWE demonstrates its function (like the 8 water blocks in the Fire Plane).
  23. Regarding the Xerion Claas, Beyonce made a prediction in 2008: If you like it then you should have put a crane on it.
