@Jim might be able to help you with the signature and how to do that. (or any mod really) I can't really describe how to do it right now. (need sleep!) As for question number 2: Usually yes, if it's not an in-house theme (like Adventurers, Classic Space, or Ninjago), and was created by another company (a World of Warcraft castle or a recreation of a scene from the Thriller music video, for example) then into licensed it goes. if the mod's think it belongs somewhere else, they'll move it if asked / the need arises.

Thanks! Thank you, but more photos are probably not coming, as I've got nothing else to show off on this model. (unless I majorly change something, or course)

Hey, the Morbius set makes a great entry point to making the Morbile! -
Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
It was the first film completed since Disney passed away, actually. It was one of the last ones he green-lit before dying. Herbie has to happen eventually, but the last three films (Herbie goes to Monte Carlo, Herbie goes Bananas, and ESPECIALLY Herbie Fully Loaded) were bigger and bigger duds. Sure he's iconic, but if anything, we'll get him as a CREATOR large scale car. Minifigure scale Beetles are almost impossible to do. BUT: If they do a fig-scale car, it had better be able to split in half! (You can't beat the iconic "53 comes in first... and third!") -
It's finally done! @Man with a hat @Paperinik77pk @Darkkostas25 @Shiva (If I tagged you, it's because you commented when it was a WIP and I thought you'd like to see it finished.) ..actually, it's been done for a month, but I forgot to take actual photos until today. More photos can be seen in the first post! Thanks, and sorry for the late reply!

You are correct, @ks6349: set 60304 has replaced the older road baseplate parts. As for whether one is better than the other, that is a matter of town design parameters, quantity needed, size of space to be used, and several other factors. Only you can answer which one is better for you own needs.

Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wonder what's going on in Billund... it's almost like their snorting their marijuana, and injecting their LSD!* They certainly aren't thinking straight anymore even if they aren't on anything. The choices made recently across a lot themes are making me question the sanity of high-up Lego executives! This Giant-man set is just one of quite a few odd steps. *Yes, I said that wrong on purpose for comedic purposes. -
LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Everyone is talking about BOTW and OoT's Great Deku tree and I'm over here thinking about Windwaker's version! (My whole family played that a crap-ton growing up...) -
Regarding question 1: Eurobricks isn't meant to host pictures except for avatars. Flickr (and other sites like that) are where you host them. I think there is a tutorial about how to insert Flickr photos onto EB, but not sure where and if it's still up -to-date. @Jim or any other moderator might be able to help you with that, and with question 2.

It was a joke, and we don't know the reason they turned it down. Could be Mattel, could be Lego. We will never know!

@CastleRail has it correct: It's a Thomas joke.

Thomas the Tank Engine - MOCs of locomotives and rolling stock
Murdoch17 replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Another day, another engine! (Not sure whether Percy or Gordon will be bought next, honestly. Either way, other things are in the que ahead of both of them!) This rendition of Percy, the 0-4-0 saddle tank steamer from the Railway Series books and Thomas and Friends TV show was heavily inspired by the Lgauge website's Percy model (as seen here) However, I added Big Ben Bricks green medium wheels* to make it stand out, plus working pistons whereas the original had only 9v powered wheels and no real pistons. *Green gears are LDD stand ins for the custom wheels. Rear view, with the cab controls visible. The (printed) number 6 will be on the black 1 x 1 tiles near the coal bunker. As for cars for Percy to pull, I have two mail cars already built from late last year. Out of 218 parts on this model, 94 have been found so far with 124 remaining (including those four green BBB wheels) -
Nice work, and welcome to Eurobricks!

Licensed Lego Ideas - Support & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
New ideas review results are out today: the red London Telephone box and Nightmare before Christmas are going to be produced. -
The new Ideas review is out. Sadly, "Thomas the tank engine" didn't make it, and neither did the "Lisbon tram" nor "The Old Engine Shed". (The red London Telephone box and Nightmare before Christmas are going to be produced instead) Lego has caused confusion and delay by not producing Thomas as a set. Lego should go to the drawing board and think about what it has done, until such time it can be seen as really useful again!

20 years after johnny's discovery
Murdoch17 replied to CDKiii's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
They were from 2015, and are expensive now. If you don't know about Bricklink, check out the catalog's sets category. Lots of surprises to be found if you've been out of the LEGO game for a while! -

Nice work! Something similar was seen in Scooby Doo set 75900 - Mummy Museum Mystery, so great minds think alike! If you look closely at the sticker on the right-hand column, and you might see a familiar face! -
Thomas the Tank Engine - MOCs of locomotives and rolling stock
Murdoch17 replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Train Tech
(sorry for the bump!) First off: I did not design this steam engine! I modified it heavily to suit my tastes from this Eurobricks post (link) from user @damangos. I did, however, rework my original 7 wide Emerald Night tender from 2014 instead of the 6 wide tender used by damangos in the original model, and I also reworked his model to suit my tastes and be cheaper, although it has one set of wheels too many. (it should only have three axles) The tender has also been changed from a corridor tender to a Fowler tender, with the flared ends added on. The engine on the other hand, is modeled in blue, and is numbered "4". As you can probably guess, this is Gordon from the Railway Series books and the Thomas and Friends TV show. Cab details include opening firebox and space for a shovel. These five passenger cars (four regular coaches, and one guard's coach) are inspired by the 2018 Hogwarts Express coach, to save money on wheels and train car bodies / frames. They don't have any of the interior details the Hogwarts Express has, though. I based the colors of the coaches on a inverted set 10194 (Emerald Night) coach color scheme. I always thought the colors looked better like this, and it avoids the problems of the tan 1 x 4 x 3 train windows used in the original set. (which are very expensive!!) (Main posted changed 2/7/23. I added digital Gordon screenshots and real-world coaches pics. Real world Gordon and revised Thomas MOC photos coming soon!) -

Welcome to Eurobricks @NotSlytherinsheir! I personally have never seen them put labels out this far out from date of release... it's kind of odd, in my opinion. -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
The movie you are referencing doesn't exist. (or, at least the final 1/3 of it doesn't. Maybe it got nuked and the fridge wasn't lead-lined? ) Anyway, I am leaning towards the AI-sharpened Toy-fair image out look on this mystery set. -
Indeed it could @Lemerbrix! I've actually been trying to find a good school to start modifying, and am stuck between the 2019 Hidden Side 'Haunted High School', and the 2021 Friends 'Heartlake City School'. (Leaning towards the Hidden Side one, if not just for it's classic look once the scary stuff is removed.) Thank you @JopieK!

Slope 33 3 x 4 Part-ID 3297 | different texture?
Murdoch17 replied to The Reader's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm fairly confident the smooth slopes were created around the time LEGO nearly went bust. (so sometime around 2003) They didn't last long, and, for some reason, were replaced with the tried and true original slope they were intended to supplant. -
Just watched The Goonies "Goonies never say die!" (I hope they get the sequel off the ground in my lifetime!)

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Murdoch17 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I've been reliving my childhood lately. I've watched in the last couple months: - the Magic School Bus (the original series and a few of the rather strange reboot) - Thomas the tank Engine (watched series 1 thru 8 several times. I refuse to watch anything after the model series was started being phased out) - Thomas and the Magic Railroad (only Thomas film ever made as far as I care) - SpongeBob SquarePants (series 1 thru 5 and the first movie. after that, it got weird!)
