Update 8/5/24: This garage modular building MOC isn't quite done yet because of two printed 2x4 tile parts that are part of the sign. While waiting for a chance to order these rarer parts, I decided to take this teaser picture. The rest of the model will be shown off when it is finished.

Thank you for your compliments @StreaMRoLLeR! I personally thought 5920 - Island Racer (from the Dino Island wave) was the coolest, most awesome vintage car Lego made up until 2009, when the cars from 7682 - Shanghai Chase from the Indiana Jones / Temple of Doom line were released. (still mad they won't redo that IJ set!) But I do agree on the early dinosaurs - They had a more LEGO-like design, especially when compared to the modern ones.

I agree with @JesseNight. I'm on Chrome with Windows 11 and it's working fine with no security warnings.

I thought clone brands weren't allowed in EB contests? The crab is not LEGO, he even says so further up thread.

General MOC-Discussion, WIP-Help, and Teaser Thread
Murdoch17 replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in LEGO Pirates
I thought you all might like to see this MOC I found while perusing Rebrickable today. This brand new ALT-MOC by user @Wurger49 of the Durmstrang ship that only uses two copies of 2024 Harry Potter set 76440 - Triwizard Tournament; The Arrival - as seen below. You can also compare it to the set in the quoted portion above. It only uses just the two sets ship parts, (the carriages pieces are not used!) and is named the Mary Rose, in honor of the famous ship / shipwreck from the time of King Henry the 8th. (Click the link to see how it looks in real bricks - it's amazing!) As stated in my previous post about the original set, I'm gonna turn the dark red and medium blue to regular red, and the gold to black, with some parts substitutions where needed. Thoughts?- 315 replies

I don't think clone brands are allowed in the contest. @Mister Phes what do you say / think about this?

The ball joints don't come in any other colors but gray, which leads me to believe that it uses knock-off parts. The printed shell is also a dead giveaway to this fact.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Speaking of modular compatible, Bricklink Designer Program (BDP) will no longer allow modular building-compatible submissions starting with Series 6. Things like Brick Cross Train Station or Modular Construction Site will no longer be accepted in the future. To quote the whole new ruleset as posted on Bricklink for those curious: In essence, we won't see another modular building - or even anything close to one - from the BDP. Also, it kina worries me they claim the modular style is a IP owned by them.... it's a building style for crying out loud! How can you own something so vague and intangible as that? -
"The Local" - Emperor of the North in Lego
Murdoch17 replied to Glenn Holland's topic in LEGO Train Tech
"Nobody rides Shack's rails!" Be still my beating heart - it's my favorite train film in LEGO! (sorry 'Polar Express', 'Breakheart Pass' and 'The Train'!) This is a really amazing series of MOC's, and I love that you've got most of the freight cars built, with the rest coming eventually. It's also impressive you been doing research on this for over 7 years! Keep up the good work @Glenn Holland, I can't wait to see what you do next! -
You are 100% correct, @Jack Sassy. Thank you @Feuer Zug! Indeed the ship is small, but it does a better job than dinky little 5975 did, as shown below.

Design stolen and put on RB
Murdoch17 replied to XTN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No problem! -
You, @legoturtle, keep using that word, but I don't think it means what you think it means. Here, let me help you. From Urban Dictionary: "When this term became popularized, initially the meaning of this term was when an individual become more aware of the social injustice. Or basically, any current affairs related like biased, discrimination, or double-standards. However, as time passed by, people started using this term recklessly, assigning this term to themselves or someone they know to boost their confidence and reassure them that they have the moral high grounds and are fighting for the better world. And sometimes even using it as a way to protect themselves from other people's opinion, by considering the 'outsider' as non-woke. While people that are in line with their belief as woke. Meaning that those 'outsiders' have been brainwash by the society and couldn't see the truth. Thus, filtering everything that the 'outsider' gives regardless whether it is rationale or not. And as of now, the original meaning is slowly fading and instead, is used more often to term someone as hypocritical and think they are the 'enlightened' despite the fact that they are extremely close-minded and are unable to accept other people's criticism or different perspective. Especially considering the existence of echo chamber(media) that helped them to find other like-minded individuals, thus, further solidifying their 'progressive' opinion." You can read more here on the page for it. (This thread is so far off topic, I think this is okay to post. If not, delete it if needed. I'm just sick of him saying that!)

Design stolen and put on RB
Murdoch17 replied to XTN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I've had a model stolen that was an LDD file from 2012, and was being sold on RB in 2023. The Admins not only had the offending MOC removed, but the offender was banned completely. Personally, If I were you I would report this to the RB Admins using the 'report MOC' feature because if he's doing it to you he will do it to others too. Just a thought. -
Thanks for your comment @icm! I did the tail like that because I didn't like it flopping around.

I haven't tried. I was just asking because the CS workers would have more of an answer than any of us. -

Have you tried contacting customer service about this issue? -
Technically it's Captain's Karloff's vessel @Jack Sassy. But if I had answered your original post with that, you would have been like "Who the heck is Captain Karloff?"

Good question @Jack Sassy! I hope this list of who-does-what helps: TOP ROW: - Johnny Thunder Australian explorer with a all around can-do attitude. Always looking forward towards the future, but an eye on preserving the past. - Doctor Kilroy Brilliant archeologist, speaker of 3 languages and reader of 4 more. - Pippin Reed Former journalist, expert pilot, and a great friend to all in need. - Mike Former child castaway of Dino Island turned ally of the Adventurers. Has a fantastic aim with a slingshot. BOTTOM ROW: - Jake Raines Hotheaded pupil of Johnny Thunder. Student of almost all sciences, expert in quite a few. - Major Quentin Steele English army officer turned monster hunter, tracker extraordinaire, and is a crack shot with any gun. - Peter Van Geist Occult studier, believer in other dimensions, elemental planes, and ghost hunter. - Mac McCloud Great with his hands with a sharp mind to boot. He can make any worn out machine purr like a kitten in five minutes or less. - Clutch Powers Filmmaker of dubious reputation, always out to make a buck but has 'special' connections that make him a valued team member. - Captain Karloff Owner of the Adventurers ship 'Eastern Star' and the guy with the voice of reason..., if he says you should leave, you listen!
