Are you after a certain prototype? I know there is a guy called "Bricks Northwest" on bricklink that does US based models and there are a bunch others that do instructions for European prototypes but I don't know of any that are complete sets.

Future of LDD on MacOS?
supertruper1988 replied to NathanR's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
As others have said, at this point, I would move over to BrickLink's Studio. I have been working in it for a couple years now and it was a little weird at first but now I can use it better than LDD. Plus it has the ability to make instructions, upload directly to bricklink for parts ordering, and best of all, it tells you if a part is not available in a color. -
Looks great!

This is due to dropbox changing the way files are shared. They didnt want to be an image hosting or public file sharing platform so they basically turned off the public folder.

Too good to be true [WARNING SCAM SITE]
supertruper1988 replied to bricks n bolts's topic in LEGO Train Tech
This is for sure a scam. I would 100% avoid this site. -
Sure thing! Here is a link to my bricksafe which I have just uploaded the files to https://bricksafe.com/pages/supertruper1988/ You will want to check them over carefully for part availability and price. I know that the yellow windows I used in the Santa Fe version might be very costly. I would recommend switching them for the 1x2x2 version instead of the 1x4x2 ones. Share some pics if you build them! For the Southern Pacific version, I worked with @zephyr1934 to make some decals and I believe that he has them in his bricklink store.

This was a fun one to work out and get on "paper". @Bricked1980 created a wonderful building with TONs of little details that make it great!

This is amazing! Thanks for sharing such cool history! After re-reading, this wonderful loader contraption is STILL OPERATIONAL. You cant believe my excitement that something so "old" still operates! Sure not a working capacity but this thing is such a weird amount of awesome!

Help with stud.io
supertruper1988 replied to Kendo's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
You can contact BrickLink support on their forums. If you PM I could give it a shot on my machine with the same file. -
Help with stud.io
supertruper1988 replied to Kendo's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I haven't seen this issue, but I know that it can happen when undoing a color change. Are you using the import function on the opening "start" menu where the model is directly imported or are you using the File > import method that brings in the file as a submodel? -
Glad I can help!

Does LDCad run on mac? -
The custom parts in Studio have to be positioned manually with the translation arrows (the little bubble that pops up when you click on the part). You can also go into preferences and assign shortcut keys to "brick control". I use WASD which lets me move bricks around quickly.

That looks great! unfortunately the plates under the technic bricks will not work they will catch on switches and prevent the engine from taking curves.
-
This is really neat! thanks for sharing. I like the idea of doing a whole sub-theme as a set of MOCs.
-
No its much larger. LEGO trains are smaller than O scale and that is for G scale.

What render settings are you using? That look amazing!
