  1. Does this use the ldraw Library?
  2. Having made a lot of instructions myself, the dedication to also write a narrative would be great to see but man that is so much work haha! Would love to see how it turns out for sure!
  3. EDIT : Said things I shouldnt have.
  4. Ok I dont see this mentioned any where but can the build for this be digital? I have a lot of brick but its not easy for me to find time to build when everyone is awake and digging thru LEGO at night tends to wake the family up.
  5. I knew of this one but he mentioned that he is using 3 studs between wheels leading to a 5 stud wide rail spacing (one less than current) It would need a whole custom solution.
  6. That is pretty cool! For the track gauge, you could pretty easily work out to 3D print a single rail that sits inside the current offerings and shares the other rail with the standard gauge track. Like this:
  7. Looks great! If you do a row of them, it would be cool too see different colors of the masonry bricks and widows to give each a little character. There are also various techniques to make open curtains which could also be great!
  8. These instructions are great!! Thanks @SavaTheAggie Really glad to support you!
  9. Means a lot coming from you! Thanks!
  10. Our "Mid-December Update" is a must-read! 2019 previews, boxcars on sale, and for those contemplating that jump to the "wide side" (8-wide), our modern train sets featuring all of our rolling stock and your choice of diesel locomotive is the catalyst you've been waiting for! https://www.ironhorsebrickco.com/blog/2018/12/6/mid-december-update
  11. I think that MODing both of these would be cheaper and look better at this point. You can do a ton of road names for the Maersk as its based on an EMD GP38/40 model. The Emerald night can be built in a bunch of colors with little fuss and the running mechanism needs to be re-built anyway. The train cars for the EN are also hard to build in the original colors but there are many great MOD and MOC versions out there.
  12. When you say PF motor do you mean an M, L or XL motor driving a single axle or the PF train motor?
  13. Looks great! I have seen you mention in other posts that you are building for static display, however, if you ever plan to run this one, I would flop the flanged driver and blind driver positions so that the flanged drivers sit more under the center of mass to provide better traction. Love your styling tho!
  14. O gauge would look great. The common scale that many use for Scale LEGO trains is 8 studs = 10 feet. That works out to 1:48 scale which is about O gauge (1:44). S scale is closer to the 6 studs to 10 feet "scale" that LEGO uses but O will look great!
  15. Except they didnt sell well and were blown out for pennies so TLG wont be doing that again.
  16. I had some fun running my trains out there this weekend! Love the setup!
  17. Why not build it in another color for much cheaper? I have seen LBG, Dark Blue, Dark Red, Black, Green, White, Yellow, and Dark Purple. The last one is cool because you can get Dark Purple train windows for a lot cheaper than the Tan and it make for a cool train with some DBG and Dark Purple passenger cars
  18. Love these! Looks so awesome! What are you using to render?
  19. Yes. I believe that the common technique is to use some of the 2x3 plate with offset hole to allow the swivel.
  20. We are doing a 20% kits sale and 10% off accessories and decals this weekend! www.ironhorsebrickco.com
