  1. Thundercats got a reboot. Lego tried to get it, but we ended up with Chima. Lego got Scooby-Doo. This seeming like an in-house Masters of the Universe (supposedly a reboot is in development), has me greatly anticipating its release. The only one missing from my childhood cartoon favs now is Silverhawks.
  2. With the decades of material, and future media on the horizon, there are enough ideas to cull for many waves of sets. There are plenty of costume variations of the gang, villains, and extraneous characters so that future sets can avoid major repetition. The Scooby-Doo brand has such a wide range of fans that this theme could be here quite a while. It isn't Star Wars level, but this could be somewhere in the orbit of it.
  3. I say again, "I have the power!" Castle with sci-fi elements (steampunk is sci-fi) can work. Look at the names we've seen, and then compare them to the character names from the world of Eternia. I likely won't be seeing the show, but the parts possibilities of the sets make me eager.
  4. As I posted in the other thread, this sounds like an in-house version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. There is a Masters of the Universe in development, according to IMDb. I wonder if this is the same situation that happened with the Thundercats bid; which is how we got Chima.
  5. It sounds like Lego is doing their own version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. I remember my Castle Grayskull well. Could this be like when the original pitch desigs for Thundercats became Chima? "I have the power!" The biggest issue with the color specific knights of KKII (IMO), was that there were too little earthtones to break up the bright coloring. I did some minor color changes to my KKII figures and they look good now. I hope Lego has learned that lesson well.
  6. Given that this is based on an unreleased movie (no trailers yet even), Lego is going to be tighter about leaks. We may not see these until spring next year. The movie is slated for release May 20th. For those of you that have been wanting a Peter Dinklage minifig, he is the voice of Mighty Eagle.
  7. I think I have seen the show this is supposed to be based on. If so, this will likely be a Juniors set, with lots of animal molds. The show I saw as I was passing through the channels (Disney is next to CNN here) was about the animals going to a separate world where they can talk.
  8. You've made Shadowmere a very active place. I hope I can do the edges of Lord Vladivus' lands as much justice. The Nestlands Clans wish Lord Mortis luck in seeking to drain Raavage's body dry. Hopefully his blood won't be too noxious.
  9. Anachronistic science is science fiction. The novels of Jules Verne and Mary Shelly's Frankenstein are science fiction. Creature or magic driven machines don't quite qualify as steampunk, which is the direction I think a fantasy type castle theme would go.
  10. I'm hoping this get the TMNT treatment. Waves based on the TV show, and upcoming movie. This current wave holds enough elements to invoke nostalgia, but at the same time should interest children who are just getting into Scooby-Doo. I actually hope this does better than TMNT, and continues through the complete run of the TV show.
  11. There had been some reports that mainland Europe wouldn't get the sets until January.
  12. The Monster Rocker is a parody of a parody of a movie version of a character in a 19th century novel. He is one of the band members from the Monster Mash music video. The biggest difference in the werewolf molds, and what makes me believe this is a mask, is where the head meets the shoulders. The MF mold goes over the shoulders, the upcoming CMF does not. This is closer to the Chima molds. I'm betting the head will be the Lumberjack's face in a balaclava.
  13. The issue is that there is a report of a TV show with this line. If true, then we have to consider TV season scheduling when trying to gauge the release of sets. The projected set release date is how we can best gauge the possibility of image releases, including preliminary catelog pages.
  14. Clara Bell? Goofy? Max? Mortimer? Donald and Daisy (and all the other ducks) would probably have a new flipper foot mold. Professor Von-Drake?
  15. There had been one report that it might not be until April. Stll nothing official, but we all live in hope.
  16. It is close enough. Rough travel can have him unkempt. Also images could be artist's rendering, which can incur a measure of inaccuracy. Gideon's depiction gave him dark brown hair.
  17. Given his name, he is likely from the upcoming show. People seem to forget that.
  18. As the Minister of External Affairs, his appeance at meetings or social gatherings outside the Nestlands is quite alright. As long as he has the long black hair and the Jack Sparrow face, the depiction should be fine. So many forget to give their figures more outfits. Aturl Prndrn (props if you can figure out his name derivation) has quite a wardrobe. He favors blues, but anything fancy will do. If you have a trans-blue 1x1 round tile you can have him using the speaking stone. He makes regular reports to the High Ministry. I will compile a summary on the Nestlands and get it to you soon. I am also hoping to get back to the Lost Vega Casino LDD build. I don't think I will be able to do a full interior, though. The file size is already near the crashing limits. I will be keeping the two swimming pools, with their optical effects, in place. Lots of statuary, too. I'll have to figure out a way to fit the story of the opening into the current political reality.
  19. It was an addiction study, and Amy got removed from the project. Most of the Amy at work scenes now are her slicing into brains. Lego doesn't make a scalpel. The closest is, I think, a butter knife in the Friends line.
  20. In the SD Mummy, the bandages are untattered, except where the end is torn. That is done intentionally, to reinforce the fact that it is supposed to be someone in a mummy costume. IIRC, in the various mummy SD episodes, the fact that the mummies' wrappings were new or modern were part of the stories.
  21. Yup, exactly. Now if someone could make a large harp in lego, Amy would be set.
  22. I'd give Bernadette a reference to her current job. She works on drug development, so a syringe and a petri dish, or pill bottle made of a white 1x1 round brick and a blue 1x1 round plate.
  23. Leonard's lightsaber is green. That hairpiece looks like the style Penny had when she was making french toast . . . on oatmeal day.
  24. There's always Bricklink. You might be paying quite a bit for just the figure, though. If you only need one, I would suggest getting the set because there is so much you could do with it. If you need more, the secondary market is the way to go.
  25. Sdair is a derivation of Alisdair. My tablet keeps correcting it to Adair. The Nestlands Clans mostly still speak a Celtic type language, and tend to speak the modern tongue with a hillbilly accent. Characters that had traveled as secret traders, before they announced themselves, speak without an accent for the most part. Aturl Prndrn and Neord Bloodmane have the least of accents. Sdair's accent is very heavy. Sdair's quest will still take quite some time, mostly because so much of the needed parts are in an unfinished embassy build. The next Quest for the Egg build will be set at the wraith elf's (formerly a drow) home in an old quarry. I plan to mention a stay in your community, Adair. There are a host of other Nestlands characters you can use, or make your own. I have been waiting for someone to try. Writing the accent is difficult, but I found it fun to see the drawl and twang typed. Adair, I'll PM you the background info, characters and their current locations, so we can begin crafting a narrative to build. This should be fun.
