It's all started yesterday. I just felt myself jealous about supercars. So i started in the morning and finished after 12 hours. And my first LEGO supercar named "Black Envy" is here) Features: Rear wheel drive with 1 XL motor Front wheel steering with servo motor Openable doors Few interior details Multilink suspension at rear. Really - double wishbone secured with additional links Ultraslim front double wishbone suspension - it allowed me to make hood lower than front wheels Suspension acts like real one do - compress just under the weight of the car, but can be compressed more. It's really helpful while riding over small obstacles - whole car doesn't jump, only wheels react. I'll shoot a movie later. Now just more suspension articulation shots) Other than it well suspended and really can drive with only one XL motor - there's no any technical marvels and complexity. It's really simple. Oh, gullwing doors, it's always add to model) As usual - more photos in better quality on FLICKR Ultraslim front suspension close up. Pin marked with green arrow is not securing suspension setup. That LBG H part secured only with 2 blue pins at bottom.

Just seen instructions for hatchback. Found many inspiring moments, thanks for sharing) Great model.

Yes, you're right - great WIP topics will lead to great results. And i just rushed in very short time without any feedback. Just because i hope that i can make supercars too... I named it "Black Envy" because of that) I still need to make pair of chairs and maybe fix some small bits. Will shoot and post it tomorrow.

Impossible LEGO

No, i used non translucent rods... What if TLG will produce translucent pins in the future? Will they hold my MOCs like glue?) -

I used 3L or 4L rods with knob wheels in one of gearboxes prototypes. And don't remember any problems with impossibility of disassembling. -
I really like drivetrain. Looks simple, works perfect) Bodywork is nice also. Few questions: Suspension is only two leaf springs per axle? Does steering move front axle side to side? Any bump steer?
-
Maybe i just don't like blue... Maybe blue looks somewhat wrong with red. LBG/DBG version looks better, as i think. Blue seats will fit perfectly, if bodywork was white/LBG. So many possibilites, but final decision is only yours)

Didumos, great to see it finished. I like mechanical part a lot. And i like all these straight/curved Pythagorean lines of the bodywork. For me it looks a bit hollow, but i think 8880 is much more "hollower", if it's comparable. Great MOC, i will build this if have an opportunity and parts)

I seen some topics with great MOCs, but there's nothing to say more. Or i can reply with "Wow, awesome MOC", but it's kind of boring. My own topics get some replies any time, but i always have some flaws in my MOCs, like twisting beams, ugly rollcages e t.c. I think leaving a room for a critics or questions is a key for generating replies) -
[MOC] MegaDozer V1
Victor Imaginator replied to Systemtech's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Huge fun) I really like this model, it must weight a lot and it looks as some awesome massive machine. Minifig doing it's job) -
Thanks for review, enjoyed reading) Also get inspired to build my own BMW from parts that i have. I made it almost full black, with racing wheels, changed bodywork a little because i don't have some of the parts. And no boxes, i just don't like them)

All 2017 sets looks incredibly weird) I still hope for some kind of supercar surprise.

Thanks) Will be nice to see a photo of result. Flexing axle side to side do not bend any parts, but twist them. If axle flexing 20 degrees - this 20 is somehow divided between left and right control arms, 3L Tan pins and some surrounding parts. Spring almost no flexing at all, because they shorter, and have their inner possible slack. After riding around hazardous conditions around 3 hours at all, i disassemble whole car for making instructions, then assemble it again. No any damage was noticed.
