  1. You see, here you go...!!! Great christmas present, that is for sure!!!
  2. Still a little jealous...!!!
  3. Driver skills are excellent as is the environment you live in... I really wonder how my KrAZ would perform on those rocks...!
  4. It is both 'and crazy' and 'amazing and awesome', so impressive!!!   Are you about half way or so?
  5. Love this one so much, for me it is even better then the A and B model!!!
  6. I am not sure I would do so... Drilling holes... Agree on the weight issue, you are right about that! Point taken I did not intend to change the subject/topic or what ever feel this topic should have... Nice to see how we all think different about what is LEGO and what not, what is third party and what not...
  7. That makes sense, thanks! Nevertheless, as I already told you I really love this MOC!!!
  8. @ Siegfried Meyer: Lovely, it is so impressive being this short! Like it a lot!
  9. Sorry, I should have been more specific Yes you are right but all are not half a stud in width That is what I should have mentioned, because that is what I ment... This allows to have 6 wheels within 3 studs of width or 4 in 2 studs... This makes more sense? Hope so...
  10. Thanks so much #efferman for being so kind to design this replacement part! It really was a pleasure to work with you and you really are good at what you do!!! It really is very much appreciated and hopefully we are helping a lot of builders with this one too...as you do with all your great custom parts!
  11. I do too!!! Again, really love this puppy!
  12. Missed this, but better late then not at all!!! I am known for not being that fast... Great that you are back in one piece, which is not that obvious anymore these days... Also good to know you had a wonderful trip! Did have a similar trip about a decade ago...very nice to be there...
  13. May I ask why you did not implement differentials then? IMHO it would for sure increase the overall performance of this beauty! I already thought so, but was not sure...thanks... This explains a lot and indeed the different gearing even add one gear to it, nice concept. Agree with PKW though that it is not that efficient, but works well! What about the math, you were able to check it yourself... I am curious!
  14. You might be right actually. Did not look at it this way, thanks for enlightening me!!! Agree with for 100%. Not sure wether it is broadly appreciated but the technical aspect of it could indeed be recreated to a high degree in Technic LEGO®!
  15. You are welcome and yes I did, I did for sure!!! That basically was the reason I owned one... Off topic I know that, but might be inspiring... ...here are some pics of it:
  16. In reply to the use of third party hooks this is what I think: To build a well working hook block out of pure LEGO® we need pulleys/wheels that spin freely on an Technic Axle. Basically a hook block consist of a hook attached to a block that holds free spinning wheels...agree? Therein lies the exact problem, there are no suitable free spinning wheels. These would be great, but not with the axle hole... Lining up 4, 5, 6 or even more would do the trick. These free spinning wheels are used to increase strength...that is the trick... Exactly, that is my point of view as well... And described above it is up to each individual to do what suites them best!
  17. Good question, it should be finished someday, one way or the other... That build is just amazing from every view and/or stand point...
  18. This is surely one way to get us curious...let us just wait for what to come...
  19. Amongst many many more people I had the privilege to see this in real life. This is a fantastic layout!!! Excellently well done...
  20. Yeah I know, I wasn't thinking straight I guess... That is also true, it is impossible to keep them all assembled, but this one should deserve a spot somewhere... You are right about the video, these days so much better indeed! You probably are right, that is basically the reason I did not start yet. This company has so much more great trailers to build, so there will be one someday definitely!!! A little of topic, but this one was build by me as well (jump to 1:00 to see what it "does": Mine: I am not that sure a diesel locomotive mainly because there are not that much functions to Technify...IMHO. It is still impressive, that is for sure!
  21. After all it is for a good cause!!! Thanks for sharing, some great ideas in there!
  22. Well deserved! Missed you entry somehow, but I really love this on!!! It is futuristic, but also has a 50s feel to it, excellent!!!
