this is what I'm planning on doing. Maybe buy two to make the middle building a bit wider...

Your Best Technic Bargains
tehkei replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Not a super bargain but I did get 42008 Service Truck for 96 US dollars during Prime Day sale on amazon. -
finished building it, now trying to modify it so I can fit two M motors, IR sensor and a battery at the bottom section.
-
do you guys think there's enough space in the bottom to put two medium motors and an IR receiver to drive the tracks? Edit: looks like someone is working on a drivetrain configuration. for the most part I want to leave the whole set stock except for the bottom part which I want two M-Motors and an IR receiver.

So many specialized pieces that I want for modular builds! the set itself is very awesome, something I didn't really expect to come out. Might be a touch Christmas.

Depends on how close you are to the model but at 18mm you do get some distortion if you are too close. -

I used a flash towards the left hand side of the camera. This is my current setup. please excuse the trash can full of Lego bags and apple ale. I changed the background to a black felt and turned off the lamp on the right. I have a flash High and left of the light box. 20150630_162135 by C. do you shoot RAW? i guessing yes on the amount of detail you are getting in the shadows. depends if he is using the kit lens which doesn't go down to f/2.8. wouldn't you want a higher aperture for more detail thou? f/8-f/11 i think produces the sharpest image with that lens (I have a D5100) -

shutter speed 1.3. you using the timer option or remote when pressing the shutter release button? otherwise it looks ok.
