  1. Thanks Aanchir! Wonder what figure we get this time. Since Stone armour Kai is coming, maybe Stone armour Cole, I'd love to see that!
  2. So, let's head back to the set discussion I wonder what kind of captain the pirates have. From looking back at the drawings, I can't see a fig that looks like a captain to me. Just the (cool!) generic pirate, the Venomari pirate, the samurai bigfig, the (regular?) samurai guy and the four-armed ghost-ish...thing. I hope the captain has some key pirate captain elements and fits in with his crew. (I picture a black strawhat, captain Soto kinda face, cape with Skybound emblem, torso/leg print: black (open and decorated) coat, wearing samurai body armor under that.) I just realized why the Skybound flag looked familiar, could it be...? Also, what happened to the emblem next to Ghoultar? After it was teased at SDCC, I haven't seen it anymore. Edit: resized pics
  3. What the....? Freaking beautiful and creative alternate build!
  4. Yay, I managed to buy a ticket for the final day! This will be the first time to attend the event as an AFOL and alone, looking forward to it! By the way, is there a possibility to see some 2016 sets or meet some TLG designers in Utrecht?
  5. Thanks for the answers and for the link!
  6. Oh, thank you for these interesting bits of information! I've loved the designs for the ninja so far, but I never knew that there was even more to them than meets the eye. Perhaps you or someone else could tell me what the following symbols mean?
  7. Can't seen to find the NYCC picture at the moment, but it showed a (printed?) 1x2 tile on the inside of the book that Jestro is holdING. It depicted a red dragon head I believe.
  8. I haven't expressed my thoughts on this line after the pictures came out, so hereby I will Just go short over the general stuff (for whoever reads this "yet another opinion" anyway ): - This is a really refreshing theme! - I absolutely love the grim, brutal look of the dark side. Aside from the magma gnomes and discs, nothing goofy about them, just pure badass! - Sparkz... that guy is just Brutal as hell! - Quite fond of the dark side vehicles. - Not that fond of the good-guy vehicles, but I'm not that interested in vehicles in Castle themes in general. So, more in detail about the knights: - Too high-tech to make them fit in with traditional castle, but their unique vibe makes them desirable. - I like how old heraldry makes its return, I was getting tired of crownies, lions (perpetually doomed to be good-guys) and dragons (always bad). At the very least these symbols won't slip into oblivion and hopefully will eventually return on traditional knights and shields. - I like the new molds for visors and armour! - All the knights are smiling! I think this is important to note and I am very glad that this decision was made. While the Ninjago ninja's still look so serious or even angry, still having the same single expression since the start of that theme, these already seem to have alternate expressions. Makes me happy Now, some things I found interesting: - The books! What a improvement compared to the old one! Even better, I've been wanting magic books for quite some time! - Just couldn't leave those wonderful figs out! - Throughout this first wave I have spotted a great many shields. Most of those that are part of a structure seem to be stickered, instead of most that are meant as real combat stuff. Not at all interested in the power-up prints, but there are some that I really want to get my hands on! The four that I have gathered all seem to have some kind of dragon/water serpent(!?) on them, very curious about that. That's it for now, I'm looking forward to more Nexo Knights stuff! Btw, Clay Moorington.... Nah, totally not a reference to Claymore!
  9. I'm not sure, but I think that one will also appear in the two major flying ships of this wave (one of them has that baloon). But indeed, that fig looks very cool. I like the pirate guy, but will probably get rid of the orange. I can't wait to see more pics of the minifigs, pretty good so far! Btw, doesn't the pirate's color scheme look suspiciously similar to Ronin's?
  10. I think this is a pretty decent City wave. The racing boat is great, it's probably also the smallest (thus cheapest) one with cockpit TLG has done in a long time. The Police Persuit set is imo actually quite cool, the police car is a sleek looking sports car; refreshing. Prison Island is not as exciting as it sounded, but well, this is City after all, more real-life based. I think it has a pretty strong wink to this set, I like it: The Crook Island is an interesting one, with the olive pieces and a significant part being rock (looks to me like some sort of BURP).
  11. most of these party sets look too similar in my opinion, nothing really special. Except for that pug Sooo cute....
  12. Oh, I totally agree! (It ended a few years before I became interested in System themes) I would be especially interested in a reboot of the Orient Expedition subtheme, Himalaya and surroundings. Given it has been a quite some time since Prince of Persia and Indiana Jones discontinued, it would be a good way to fill that niche again.
  13. I wonder if the plume piece attaches via a pin (just like previous plumes). Do we have a decent picture of that piece?
  14. This poll could have saved us at least 10 pages in the NK forum if it appeared earlier Better late than never, thanks for this poll!
  15. That's a fantastic set of drums!
  16. ^^ "tweeted a tweet on twitter" So, what's the source of this exactly? Sorry, couldn't hold myself
  17. Oh, great improvements in my opinion! Now it has the looks of a real stronghold
  18. Have a great time on Eurobricks, Ash! I can relate with that fascination for the beach, both in Lego and real life. I used to have a entire island surrounded by a beach, with a lot of quads and water sport vehicles. My dream was to make a big boulevard (palm trees, skate park, life-guard towers, surfboard-renting....)

  24. If I remember correctly, he will be exclusive to the Fortrex set (the big one) and that set wasn't on the two prelim catalog pages that most of us have seen.
  25. Whoah! Huge! There is a special tread dedicated to armies: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22604
