A grim-dark version you say? I can assume you Nocturnus will gratefully take these new pieces and forge some pitch black awesomeness out of it! I like the idea of demons, I hope we will see the bulky armor and shields eventually used for them, in gunmetal grey or black... Would be so awesome! Please don't shout your opinion like that and without explaination, it contributes zero to the discussion. Also, the last sentence, what on earth do you mean by that? Be specific! I am 99% sure that this theme will get a pretty large fanbase. TLG has many talented designers that are able to execute a bad concept in a cool way (and this is not a bad one imo!). Remember that this is only the first wave and we are talking about a 'big bang' theme, this type tends to change it's style and concept standards over it's multiple waves. We should wait and see how this theme develops. Watch out Castle fans; you might find yourself interested later on! Finally, again, these are only prelims, frankly, we are foolish to discuss set quality in such an early stage.

"... or why he was being so glib when there was clearly some sort of weird situation here." Normally I don't come in the sci-fi forum, but the title (in recent topics) made me curious. Wasn't disappointed...

New 2016 polybag: 30421 Pirate Plane (Source: http://www.brickshop.nl/lego/lego-ninjago/lego-30421-pirate-plane-polybag.html)

Brilliant, just.... wow, fantastic job

Allright, most impressive! I also look forward to your next builds

Oh gosh, seems like I missed something here. I think it's great to get a wizard that is not blue or a stereotypical evil wizard. Does he have a yellow skin or all gold? Has anyone noticed that on the promotional image, under the swinging axe of Bull knight, is what looks to be a monster wearing a Ninjago Stone Army shoulder piece in black? I wish that we will get that!
-
Though I'm from Nocturnus, I am almost certain that blue lions and crownies are just fine. What is more important, is the atmosphere that you give your mocs in order to fit in with a certain guild. Anyway, great to see yet another builder wanting to join GoH

Better late than never: my congratulations to all who have been victorious! It was a great mini challenge, so once more: thanks LittleJohn and soccerkid6. I had a little confidence that I could have a chance of winning, since I got so many replies on my entry, the bulk of them mentioned how original and well done it was... I guess it was all just not good enough. Well, this is GoH after all, so many amazing builders...

Dunno what you mean, I just checked a whole bunch of them, but not a single thing! I don't believe they've been taken off allready, because often the post is edited, not deleted. I haven't seen any 'empty' posts

I am very confident from the set descriptions that this new wave will be another fantastic one, partly for the parts, partly for the great builds in general. What I don't understand is, in what aspect are the eyes "anime"? The dragons are brick-built, are the eyes too?
-
99% sure Jay comes with his dragon, all sets come with that new Dragon Blade (not sure if it actually is a dragon blade, but it has some kind of detailing on it)
-
Oh, a more detailed/complex Dragon blade is a good thing, too bad that the eye-patch thing is fake, it looks cool indeed. Well then... the period of long days of waiting for pics continues... *sigh* Also, please don't quote pics (or massive posts) people! I've seen it a couple of times recently, so I felt like I had to point this out.

So this youtuber called Fan of Ninjago has videos with two interesting pictures: They look to be official, the upper one features a sword that fits CM4Sci's description, pretty exciting!

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Exetrius replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Yes, it is alway great to watch behind the scenes, especially with voice actors. For those who were wondering what the Live show thing was about, I found a vid: http://youtu.be/vXJeNgnt0J0- 4,591 replies

The floor, archway and walls look realistic, a somewhat less common technique for the table, nice build Don't worry, I'll follow the other chapters too Great to hear there is more ancient goodness on the way!

Well, GoH has a lot of lore. Lore that (in this case) consists for a considerably large part of battles/conflicts between or within the guilds. Obviously, one needs to be attracted to this lore and the Historica continent, the role-play and the story writing, to decide to build for GoH. I think that in general, having a great dedication to a RPG in a fictional realm is something typically male, especially when it is status/rank and battle-related. I think that women are much more likely to dismiss something (like this) as "just a game", rather than an alternate form of reality and interaction with people. Yet, I have the impression that there are way more story-obsessed females (both in reading and writing) than males, which is the quite opposite of the ratio of MFOLs and FFOLs in GoH. I think the same goes for the amount of (hobby) creative types. Maybe it is a rare combination to be both the creative builder and the one that likes to read or write stories as a female, I don't know? So, about the Kali challenge. It was too intensive, it is indeed almost impossible to comment on (let alone to give constructive criticism!) on every build. We all enjoy to get many comments on our build, right? It proves that people enjoy the thing that has cost you your spare time, maybe even while nobody in our everyday life social circle really approves of you doing so. If people don't get time to process things, to respond and to appreciate your work, then what is it worth? The rush is at exciting and very stimulating at first, but it leaves only time to move on, not to fully enjoy what you've built and, eventually, leads to a exhausted interest. The greater the break-down, the greater the reluctance to jump back in it. On a side note, I think a long lasting civil war is not the best thing to keep FFOLs, who tend to enjoy this competitiveness less, in the guild. Finally, about the fresh blood thing. I felt a certain threshold for joining GoH because of all the lore that I didn't know anything about. How could I fit into something so big, of which I knew very little? Maybe others are experiencing this too? I feel like it would be immensely time-consuming to plough through all the threads in order to become more familiar with the more comprehensive history of Historica. I think it would be awesome to have a real, written book with the most important and greatest MOCs and stories of GoH of the past years. It would help to keep things overseeable. I do realize that this is very hard to pull off and may even lead to conflicts regarding what (who) should be included and what not. This is Guilds of Historica after all . So, these are some of my thoughts on the topic, glad to share them with you!

I just don't know where to start! Well... eh... first things first: it's amazing! The huge detail and lovely vivid colours of the vegetation is awesome! (first impression) The wall and tower have good detail and proportions. Oh hey, it has a improved colour pattern compared to the previous build. (second thought) Bloody hell! This thing looks gorgeous from the back! Even better architectural detail, I love the symmetrical stairs and the recess with the sword. Also some nice minifigs and a scene going on. (after a little scrolling down) What?! This thing has an accessible interior with great details, once again! The staples of cards are just perfect, cause everybody knows what guards do when they are off on duty! And then, there is this: When did you start this project then? I mean, this model leads me to believe you have years of building experience, it is just so bloody good!

Seems like sagas are becoming quite popular all of a sudden! I am curious to the next part, ancient remnants never fail to interest me The foliage and the rock are great, the road could use some more 1x1 tiles/studs to represent cobbles. Nice build
-
Great scott! I just noticed how outrageously badass the Bull knight looks (just need to swap the face with a cool one)! That visor is just amazing and he has a kind of energy battle axe! The pixelated printing on the shield(s in general) comes out pretty awesome as well!
-
I fully agree with that. I understand the disappointment form the medieval castle fan base very well, but it's certainly not bad! I really like the look of the characters on the promotional art picture. I love that bulky armor, the unique visors and the "faction-ed" shields and armour inlay, so to speak. This looks much better than the knight's kingdom figures (those unique visors were too damn big!), yet it is the same concept. Those lava beasts.... me gusta!
-
OMG, yes!!! Samurai and a freaking dragon blade collectible! A for-armed ghost sounds super cool, possible return of Elemental Masters and the Serpentine, new ninja, cool new weapons and armour. I CAN'T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT! Meanwhile, talking to his wallet: "No, I am not going to kill you... I am just going to hurt you really, really bad."
-
Magic books, new shields, new armor, new visors, presumable cool printed pieces useful for faction building, yes, Yes, YES!!! Thank you CM4Sci for providing this detailed information!

Brickset has listed a new set! As you can see here, it is basicly the Army Builder Pack, but only Kai and Wooo and a little less weapons. I didn't really care for Jay and the other ghost anyway, I would like to get my hands on this.
