  1. I think this is one of the best sets. The fact that the model is small is a advantage, it makes the set a lot cheaper, so the baloon pieces are relatively cheap too. If you'd want to MOC a bigger one with bigger baloon, you can easily buy multiple of them since they are only 30€ each. Totally going to buy one! Oh, and it will indeed come with the (awesome!) samurai and serpentine, which only adds to it
  2. Well, I said I would try something in the holidays. I did quite some stuff (for a non-LDD builder using LDD) before them, but I lost motivation/inspiration during the holidays and haven't done anything on it ever since. In short: I have something, not much. I will share my work of substituting parts on the figs: It is hard to not focus on the figures (and new moulds), since these will be the main selling point. Anyway, I will still continue with this project.
  3. Thank you! So many comments on my trees, didn't really expect that. I'll tell some more: the one on the left is entirely legally constructed, with core and branches both made of 2x2 rounds. The right one has one firm illegal connection which gives it the angle. Thanks for noticing the keys to this build: simplicity and emotion. For this build I wanted to step away from action, magic and fantasy for a change. I am glad many of you appreciated this build and I hope do more of this kind once in a while.
  4. Working on the Exetrius Saga

  5. 100% agree with you. Gold is appropriate for his luxuriously detailed Master outfit, but Wu is ultimately iconic for his simplicity and modesty. I wish the tan one would return and besides that, a black and white version would be great.
  6. Some great fig combos! Landscape is nice and solid, good work
  7. Integrating mostly the bad guy stuff into Nocty GoH builds Not sure what to do with the knights, though. You've got a pretty cool plan I must say! Reminds a bit of the activitiesin a Sandcrawler.
  8. Thank you guys, I always try make my builds ever better! I've seen a lot of fantastic non-studs-up rockwork in the Guilds, but this is the first time I tried it myself. The trees rely heavily on the 2x2 round plates, since this was the only piece in Dark Ora that I own in sufficient quantities (e.g. I had to use every single one of my collection! ) Perhaps my tasks will take me to the City of Skavenport... We will see! I feel it's a shame that I couldn't photograph it under sunlight, but the faintness fits the scene better, I guess. I've been wanting to build a cavern with skylight for some time, and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!
  9. Oh, that is a bit of a relief and something to keep my hopes up. Stickered shield pieces should stay a taboo, imo! It would probably more convenient for the books to be stickered, though.

  11. Lol, that sounds a bit like my character (or at least what I have in mind for him), haha. Welcome to the Guilds, Steward! So, my first episode of the Exetrius Saga got delayed during holidays, thereafter came exams, but I've finally been able to finish it and now it's ready to check it out http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=117026
  12. Exetrius Saga Episode 1: Fallen leaf Exetrius was on his way to deliver a message from the organization he worked for to a client in Kyrrath. Why did they send out a mage for a job like this, he was wondering. As far as he knew, the route to the City of Purple was quite peaceful, for Nocturnian standards anyway... Maybe it had to do something with the client? The only thing he had gotten - as usual for this type of tasks - was the address and a rough description how to get there. Oh well, it didn't really bother him! This task gave him time to relax and an excuse to wander through colourful autumnal forests. It made him cheerful. He slowed down and stood still for a moment. There was a small trail of flattened stones deviating from the unpaved road. Looking through the trees, Exetrius could make out a rock face in the distance, in the direction where the path seemed to go. He figured it was time for a break, maybe there was a vantage point out there. A few minutes later, he saw a small cavern appear. As he came closer, he noticed something very peculiar: it was a cavernous grave... A faint beam of sun light fell on the grave, through a hole in the ceiling. Exetrius kneeled for the grave. In the stone, a text was carved. It read: Here rests Rambar Armafur ~ The man who came from Far Arms of steel, heart of gold Embracing the eternal silence ~ where he tranquility sought. He felt a certain sadness. This man was probably a lonely stranger, coming from far, no trace of family or friends on the stone... poor guy. Whatever the circumstances were, this man was a good person. He seemed to come to this place to find peace. Exetrius took a look around. Maybe he wanted to be burried here so he could share it with others? The thought delighted him. Exetrius paid his respects to the grave, turned around and slowly but steadily continued his journey. Read on, in the next episode: Message in Kyrrath Hi all, after a (too) long break, I'm back with a build! I wanted to make something autumn-themed, both in the literal and the figurative sense. I hope you like it, C&C always appreciated!
  13. Good build, nice work on the angled buildings!
  14. I would be terribly disappointed if the shields turned out to be stickered Some of the designs (Dragonzzz!) look really darn cool, and I'd like to keep them that way over time! Keep in mind that the Ninjago spinners and spinner crowns were also printed and that there were a lot of them. Let's hope this applies for NK too...
  15. I already noticed it on the tweeted poster But, I don't know if anyone has said it before. At this point, it seems like she will have the same one as last season, judging from the prelims. Welcome to Eurobricks btw!
  16. I see what you did there...
  17. Those are bat wings from Chima (scorpio, spider, bat wave) I think these look absolutely fantastic! Like many others, my favorite is Macy, followed by Aaron and Robin, who indeed very much reminds me of Duke Exeter/Sentenials in general. But HO-LY CRAP! Have a look at those shields of Lavaria and Beast master. Not the collectible inlays, just the shields. Wow... WOW! For those who don't have pictures: those pieces are black and follow the same shape design as the black helmets of the lava baddies. Edit by Hinckley:
  18. The dragon on the poster is Cole's 'dragon'. Yeah, quite disappointed in the looks of that one and it's inconsistent size. That prison outbreak is exactly what happened in one of the episodes of last season! Here's what I hoped for concerning the pirate captain: Nadakhan is certainly not bad, but he would be more fitting in a different rank or another wave.
  19. Damn, so many ideas for projects already, but I can't just refuse to take part in a contest like this! I will try to come up with at least one entry for this!
  20. Thanks for sharing!
  21. The 'standard' has roughly been 1 fig per 10 euros/dollars, this ratio tends to decrase slightly from low to high price points.
  22. Picture on Facebook is a lot sharper :)
  23. Oh, and villagers!
  24. Oh, thank you! Odd that we haven't seen official images for it yet, given it's release is so close.
  25. Thanks for the heads-up! Agree, this Ninjago fan-fiction contest is a great recognition towards all fans who enjoy (and are good at) writing amazing stories. Back to the set discussion: Only one set (as far as we know) left to be released, the Minifig Cube. When will it show up? It's been ages since we got that picture! Anybody has a clue to the date of release?
