  1. I guess you could say that the knights theme always went by the book. Have we ever gotten a female Lego knight besides Nexo Knights? I'm not really interested in minidolls, but I can see their appeal. It could be really cool to have a collection of all these unique and cool characters. The model may even be revised to fit new molds and shaping. Maybe even hip and torso accessories, like royal armor and things in a similar vein. Maybe a stand for a small animal to go on a figure's shoulder? After all, minidoll themes seem to like them. Point is, they definitely need more variation, in the sense that I am also irritated by how many clones we see, as if LEGO believes no one will notice or care that someone could have 2 or 3 of the same figure, especially in what appears to be Elves' case.
  2. Yeah, I tried that as well, and that definitely seems like the closest thing to a "money hack". There was this one time where a boss did something weird, and it affected the game where every time I used jump attack, whoever got caught in it would kind of stay stunned, for pretty much the whole game. Thankfully I got studs. Also, the bosses would block and attack, but not much else. But if you throw them around they'll break out of the freeze trap. I've seen variations of this glitch, another person got a it fighting Neuro. Also, who is the guy you can see coming out of the bars at the side of the wall?
  3. I made a similar topic here, except I asked for a specific game. I don't think there are. But it looks like these people who helped me out observed the in-game builds from every angle and tried to recreate it the best they could. In LDD anyway. And there are pretty much 0 videos that do share this information. Why is it the really useful things that you can't find online, but normal and easy stuff is all over?
  4. PIXAL was the second female minifigure, but third to have an important role. Misako was introduced first in the show. To be fair, the nindroids have pretty much no gender, as the sounds they make are basically hums and squeals. And they weren't made with gender in mind (probably). And as someone said, a few snakes are designed where they could be ambiguous. But the snakes were probably generally male anyway. I do realize that this theme only stared to get diverse around 2015, but from there i'd say it's been alright. They could redeem themselves. I also realize that I may feel this way because I really enjoy the show, and watching seeing new, old, and familiar faces may have made me think there was a lot more of a balance than I thought. I guess the show grew on me. Three-four years will really take a long time to cover up. If only they had the same amount of variation they have today. It's not equal now, but it's still better than before. Also, I still say they reboot Exo-Force into a balanced cast. I can't wait for the day that happens.
  5. But Lego Dimensions has no online... How will that work?
  6. What? Are you talking about this set? Nya became a samurai completely on her own. She did not use any dojos, or get help from anyone. She learned how to use weapons herself. The reason that Nya became a ninja is because she had reached her peak as a samurai, and Sensei Wu convinced her that ninja are much more powerful than a samurai. And Nya could only get her true powers (water) if she became a ninja and found her balance. Nya was not complete as a samurai. Having two seperate identities can not make you complete. As a ninja, Nya found balance and unlocked her powers. What you said about the LEGO designers is not true. The writers of the show made her a water ninja, and it was to advance her character. Throughout this entire conversation, you have made many assumptions and few were correct. Please, I ask of you, watch the TV show. You will understand so much more if you do. It is a very good show, and is a good mix between real life and fantasy. It's not as long as other shows, so you can catch up in less time than other shows. You said this: This is because we watched the series. There is so much story in Ninjago. And it is why many people like the show. It not only explains characters (like Nya and samurai) but also buildings, like temples. Please do watch it.
  7. The TV show is where a lot of those 80+ characters originate from anyway. There's so much demand for several characters that LEGO can't keep up. And do you mean 80+ original characters, or 80+ minifigures? There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of Ninjago variant outfits. It makes up a large percentage of the entire NInjago line up in general. Also I was talking about main protagonists. There are 5 females who were main protagonists at points in the show. If we talk about general characters in the show, it bumps to a much higher number. I was just talking about the male and female characters who are relevant. No one really focuses on goons and the likes, and even a few of those are female. I'm not calling Ninjago balanced or anything, but I do think it's universe is pretty diverse with gender.
  8. I really hope we get a giant sand green tank, with a bunch of Asian military looks to it. Like dark red, dark brown, tassels, flags, etc. But the only vehicle like that is the Turbomobile, and that looks like a distribution-type vehicle.
  9. Why aren't the Hageman Brothers working on the script? I thought they'd be there, even if it's just a short. And who's Chicken?
  10. Well to be fair other themes have a somewhat balanced gender distribution already. City is improving for example. In a theme focused on characters, i'd say Ninjago could be the most balanced. There's at least 5 female characters (in sets), and they have all been main protagonists at some point (in the show), two even being main antagonists for some time. In fact the next season of the show is stated to focus mainly on two siblings (brother and sister) and their parents. The show's writer said that both siblings are in the show's intro for an equal amount of time as well, showing that one isn't prioritized over the other. What's even more interesting is that the brother was considered the main character of the entire theme in it's early years. You'd think they'd feature just him. The set boxes will likely have a female on them too, and boys would still buy the sets. I would like to see this with Nexo Knights. I think if they have a new knight it should be female. If the role of Black Knight doesn't go to who we think we will, a female could.
  11. Maybe, but when someone really ponders over the set name and what they got, they might be very confused. That's why i'm doubting the set names will stay like this. __ __ __ Also, does anyone else find it strange how a lot of the HoT suits look... Not as neat as they could have been? For example, Zane's radar is attached by some wires, when really, there's probably a better way to have that set up. Lloyd's armor has a crack, and Nay and Jay's belts have rips. Kai's strap is ripped and his armor is nicked. It's interesting to see that every suit has an imperfection somewhere, except Cole's. How? These suits definitely aren't salvaged. Do the ninja get into a fight in the beginning of HoT? You can say they'll "fix" everyone up at the beginning, but I don't know if they'll do that. On an unrelated note, I wonder how Zane's radar will be animated. I hope it's constantly swirling instead of just being there.
  12. I think you need to look at this in a different angle. Elves would probably still sell well if they added another male figure as well. And maybe another next year. Maybe a villain. Anyways, I feel like LEGO realized their little flaw with Friends, and tried to change that with Elves. I can already tell that boys would be more inclined to get Elves sets than Friends. And it's not only because of Farran, It's even in it's aesthetics. With Elves I see dark browns, purples, blues and greens, instead of pinks and whites, with the occasional neon green like I see in Friends sets. If someone bought an Elves set, it would be much easier to MOC and substitute anything they'd dislike, than a Friends set. I might be completely wrong about that, but that's what i'm getting from looking at the sets. From what I can tell, I doubt the "boy" themes are up in your face like this. Even sets with minidolls should compel both genders to buy some sets, or at least in my perfect world. On a slightly unrelated note, I'd love LEGO to create a completely gender balanced theme. Like say they brought back Adventurers. It would be really cool to see an idea like this set in motion. Not only would it be gender balanced in terms of minifigures, but also in set design and aesthetic. Kind of like the Mystery Mobile. I doubt you can say that a set based off that is targeted for either gender. Even if it was an action focused theme, I would still like it to be at least gender balanced minifigure-wise. Like say they revive Exo-Force. I would like a balanced cast for both heroes and villains.
  13. Also, about the monster with two heads: You switched the colors of the head pieces, why not do the same with the arms?
  14. Well I imagine the word "wrought" would come into play either way, unless the name changed. I guess you could say it's a fusion of 2 out of the 3 blacksmiths, so it could have a molten look to it. And maybe some metal.
  15. I hope they continue making paradox-type characters, like Tournament Zane and Lloyd DX. It's cool to see completely original variants. I just realized that those were in the show. And that she never had goggles in her 2011 minifigure. It looks like they went the actual mile and copied the visor.
  16. There's so much useful stuff in that Twitter! A lot of it are things that no one here even thought of. He also heavily hinted at Dragon Wrought being a fusion, or something that is "sort of" Kai's. And apparently the book not only confirms where the Ultra Dragon is (it went back), it also tells how they got their vehicles (I don't understand why that's important, they'll just wreck or lose them anyway). He also called HoT a Kai Season. A Kai "season"... Backing this up is how he calls the season the most delicate and intricately woven story they've ever done, and digs deep into the lore. It's easier to do that with a season.
  17. I guess I can accept that, there isn't anything here that wouldn't make sense... I did a double take when I saw Lloyd's age, but I understand why it's that way. I can also see the ninja being in their early 20's in DoTD or Skybound, but this is also fine. My goodness, it really is. Just browsed for less than a minute and I already realized that Garmadon's temple is Steep Wisdom... And Wu sold it for fancy vehicles...
  18. Well there's only been 2 games. And LMSH is assumed to take place after the Avengers. And besides, there's only one real Lego Marvel game similar to the Batman series, and that's the first one. The second one just reenacts the movies, no original story.
  19. But that's because they're pretty much unavailable. But the Harry Potter actor should be fine. After all, there's other movie characters in the game like Owen who use original voice acting.
  20. That would make him the only character without any unique dialogue then...
  21. Ice monsters. I want them. There can be variations of ice monsters just like there are lava. As lava monsters have volcano themes like magma and fire, ice monsters should have snowy-mountain themes, like Cracked ice, snow and rock, etc. I wanted this once I saw the Book of Chaos (the one with the crazy weather coming out of it).
  22. What are the rumors? We already know it will involve Kai and Nya's parents anyway. Dragon wrought would be a steam dragon if it was a fire+water fusion, besides, the guy said it would be Kai's dragon specifically. This makes me think it will be an armored Flame even more. After all, he said it would be cooler.
  23. Ah, gotcha. It's still pretty cool nontheless. Say, Lego should honestly make the ball and chain mace weapon have an actual chain variation, don't you think?
  24. Wait are you thinking of putting a bunch of official sets in your world? Oh... Well, you do still need to do a bunch of landscaping anyway, and figure out neat way to link each world.
  25. I would also like to do something like this one day. But I don't have a table or platform specifically for that. And, I don't have the pieces either. But it is something I myself want to do sometime. I'd either do a high-tech world/city, or a non-medieval fantasy world. Even if it takes months, try working on things one world at a time until you're satisfied with your ability. Or even one landmark in an area at a time.
