Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

That Lego page seriously needs to stop giving spoilers to DoD... Also regarding some more timeline stuff, Tommy Andreasen said that Zane's new body is 2 yrs old maximum... Which means ToE-Skybound took place in 2 years or less... And apparently, Zane's original body is now 40+ rather than 60+... Says it's something to do with how HoT is arranged... Which gets me thinking... How is Zane and HoT involved?- 4,591 replies

Aww... I can't find the prelims. Oh well, I'm heading out once more. This time I don't even know where to look, as the pictures aren't exactly official yet... Oh well, i'll find something eventually so I can be on the same level as you guys. EDIT: lol, of all places... I really don't think mentioning where I found it is necessarily bad, but if the rules are that strict i'll just stay zipped. I think the Jay bike set is pretty weak... The other vehicle can be nice as a polybag, but otherwise it's not really interesting... It's just there because Jay hasn't had a bike yet... On the other hand, the Nya car is apparently black. Another Bat-vehicle! I probably won't get it, but I am curious to see how it will work. Also pleasantly surprised to see it based off Nya's car from Rebooted. -

Oh... Well if you're building this in your image, that's fine too. A lot of people who do Ninjago MOCs of things in the show, usually make it as accurate as they can. There's no problem with this though.

Am I allowed to share the Reddit subforum name with the drawings? I originally found them elsewhere, but it's all contained in the subforum for easy access. I found them all, except the Forge. Best of luck to me, i'm heading out once more. ____ I've found it, actually didn't take long. Apologies for being dramatic The dragon will probably look better as time goes on, but the actual forge is innacurate to the show, and the set designers should know about 4 Weapons by now. As long as it's supposed to represent another forge, that's fine. I hope it will look good. Also, the mech uses big fig arms. Which I hope don't look muscle-y, but more robotic. -

It apparently means something very specific. It's not what they had in mind I guess. -
It looks really cool. However, wouldn't it be easier and more accurate to make the floor pattern purple and the floor tan? Also, there is reference material in at least two episodes the show (plenty of shots showing off important details), as well as the game, Ninjago Tournament, where you can walk around the arena. I'm not complaining, this looks great. But if you did use these sources instead of just Lego Dimensions, why didn't you also add the totem pole at the center of the arena? It wasn't in Dimensions, but it was in the show and in Ninjago: Tournament. Even in Dimensions you need to assemble a totem pole to progress, but it's drastically different from the real one.

I agree. Nothing here really looks that interesting besides the boat thing with Cole and Lloyd. The standouts will probably be this and the Dragon Blacksmith set. Apparently Wu will no longer be called Sensei Wu due to it meaning something else. He will go as Master Wu from here on out, even in the show. -

lol I knew it was a lost cause anyway Apparently Kai and Nya's parents left them at ages of 5 and 3 respectively. Well at least their mother anyway. It's being stressed that their parents disappeared, not died. Apparently it's a heartbreaking mystery what happened to them. I guess Kai and Nya assumed they just died. Well at least their father anyway. I wonder... Wouldn't Sensei Wu know what happened to them? Or did Sensei Wu lie to them if they ever asked?- 4,591 replies

I didn't say RPG More like an action adventure game with some Puzzle elements. It would need free camera at all times and actual mechanics. And it would still be fun for anyone to play. It would still have platforming elements, just that it wouldn't be so... Simple, you know? I actually do remember an idea I had a while back: A Lego Universe game for consoles. It would pretty much be the Lego RPG game you're talking about. Free camera, customizble character, factions, upgrades and such are received according to those factions, and things like that. However, the twist comes in that it will also have mechanics from the original game. You would be travelling between hub worlds, or just worlds, of the Lego Universes (Castle, System Ninja, Space). And the game's story would probably end in you assembling them all. Maybe Vortech can be the villain. You can also play the story with a friend. i'd like the plot to actually be well made this time as well. Make the characters endearing, or actually relevant. The Lego Movie pulled that off, sad we haven't seen more of it from Lego things. And of course there would be Online events. Things from the original game and things they wanted to do but never could. Capture the flag, tag, build contests, and those sorts of things. What i'd like is for the factions to actually matter, and you can use your abilities to access different routes, to get special items, and this mechanic would help your team actually make a coordinated approach and "plan". I'd also like the level design for special abilities to be randomized, to reduce predictability. It would be really cool in my opinion.

Calm down! Really, i'll honestly be sad when this thread drowns, you put a lot of work into that. Now for mine! I want a Lego game with actual meaningful mechanics. And I really am going to complain about this until it happens. Lego games have very simple mechanics and i'd love to see that change. Warning for what lies ahead, a lot of mechanics for the game are just things I hate about conventional Lego games "fixed". For example, a game where all the levels have free camera, and the levels can be explored freely. And of course, you can still replay them with other characters. Another issue I have is that you don't really use a character's abilities. You just go up to an interaction point and press circle or square. For example, the grappling hooks. Sure, you can actually aim your hook, but there's nowhere to put it besides a hook point. See what I mean? I want characters to have a wider range of ways to use their abilities. I don't want to break the game to get a non-conventional character up somewhere (though it is fun). Another thing i'd like is a real inventory to access alternate weapons and gadgets, like the Arkham games. Each with a unique purpose. But why would a character have so many abilities? There's another thing I want in Lego games: Focus on a few characters rather then many. I'll admit it: this is a Lego game's biggest weakness. Lego games try to hide their lack of intricate and even slightly complex gameplay behind 100+ characters, and I doubt it will ever change. Anyways, this means the game will actually have to make unique mechanics for each character, and also shape it so that other characters can also reach new places and same places as the last, but with a different method. Maybe the game can be based off an original franchise (maybe even a franchise created just for this game). Maybe it can be Lego Batman 4. I just want this change. I'm sorry there's no real "game", but it can really be almost anything, as long as it follows my conditions and isn't a game with the incredibly simple Lego game formula.

oh well, at least we have a purple 2011 mask. I'm more interested in Hands of Time than DoD. The way he (Tommy Andreasen) talks about it makes it seem like it's longer than DoD (maybe even a season), and storywise it looks very promising as well. Not to mention these Possession/2012 type vehicles are the kind I like, as opposed to the Rebooted/DoD kind of vehicles.- 4,591 replies

No one except the higher ups really have, there aren't even any drawings currently. At least we got a somewhat detailed description. Not gonna lie, I was really expecting more buildings this time around. But the vehicles look fine for now. Nothing out of the ordinary besides the Shadow Bounty (the one with Cole and Lloyd) and Vermillion Trap (it comes with two Vermillion and Kai, why not :P). The boat one not only has a good build, but some great figures, and both ninja are "full". I'll also get Vermillion Trap on the side just because. Everything else looks... Okay. Also, Nya's vehicle looks like the one Garmadon and Lloyd rode a long while back. It was originally her's after all. -
I'm sorry if this was already asked, but is this a battle? Or general popularity of the theme? By the poll questions i'll have to say this is a "battle" type thing. So I guess these kind of threads are allowed? How would we know whether to put some of these battles in the Media forum or the Action forum (for other themes)?

I guess you're right there, however I think a few superhero comics do show aging, but they're clever with it. Like Batman. There's Year One, all the way to somewhere around year twenty something, And events are scattered all over those years. They also use this to tie in events with other heroes, and their years, which sort of branch from Batman's years.- 4,591 replies

He said she's 14-15 in the pilot? I thought he said she was 13-14. And then Kai would be 15-16 in the pilot. But if what you're saying is right, Kai would be 16-17. I guess by Tommy's view, the seasons didn't have as much time in between them as the max age for the ninja are 19. I think Tommy said that Borg was concerned, but he didn't know where to look. And he also partially had faith in PIXAL since he gave her that "You define yourself" speech, so he may not have felt that panicked. He also could have thought PIXAL was grieving and wanted to give her space.- 4,591 replies

Odd that? Even the Hagemen sometimes talk about the show. But it's just that Tommy answers near every tweet, even ones with questionable and controversial topics. I find that really respectable. I know they aren't, which is why I didn't post it here. Besides, people always drop hints about where stuff is, so did I. I didn't say who actually did it ( ) Also, you know those original ninja poses, that were also used for ToE? There are apparently some for Rebooted and they look cool. Where can I find them? -

Tommy posts things that are never seen before. He posted a picture of him holding a Ninjago book that releases next month, and he posts hints that seem accurate. He also hinted at a new song called I Will Have Revenge, which is for the next season. He also releases concept art and things. If you look around his Twitter longer, you can see he's really the real deal. He's also friends with The Hagemen and Vincent Tong. Sword of Souls was useful last time. -

Were those "leaks" just a bad quality minifigure thing you see on the bottom of a box... It looks so fake... Why would the figures even be shadowed... Kai and Nya's straps are inversed... This "leak" can also be found in Tommy Andreasen's Twitter. Someone said they found season 7 and he said it looks cool but he doesn't know if it's real. You may need to dig for it though. Let me just tell you, it probably won't be worth it. You can also check Instagram for a drawing of Disastrous Dusk. What? How is he front wheel upwards? Unless it uses tank treads, if a front wheel is facing upwards it isn't going anywhere. I'll be sure to get Shadow of the Destiny's Bounty. It comes with Cole, who's outfit is the best to me, and Llloyd, another great outfit. I might have to also get Vermillion trap as well, since it's cheap and comes with Kai and another Vermillion. -
Lighthouse Siege: + Fanservice + Better for display + More natural brick selection +/- Tons and tons of features - Backside is a little disappointing ____ Master Wu Dragon: + Oriental styled dragon, unlike others. + Very unique parts selection + Perfect price for part ratio + Cute dog - I can't really think of any cons I would personally get the Wu Dragon, because I have no aeroblades and I like the ghost figures. But the build could be the determining factor for you, unlike me, where I want accessories and figures (I have sets from both anyway, so i'm not as concerned).

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
gamejutzu replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Tommy Andreasen really is the man, I think he answers all his tweets. I'm kind of hesitant to bring this up again, but someone asked if Nya was 13-14 in Masters of Spinjitzu and he hesitantly said yes. That would mean if they are still currently teenagers, the present Ninjago story takes place in a span of 6 years or less. But then again he said it's really up to interpretation, but in his mind they're teenagers. So I guess if someone makes an age thing we all agree on, it can technically be "canon" but not really. Also, he confirmed a bunch of things for the next seasons, like Lou in DotD and Skales in HoT. It's some interesting stuff. Someone also asked if some elemental masters were evil and he said yes. This could tie into the alliance getting manipulated, the "dark secrets", and the Vermillion. Just a thought. What?- 4,591 replies

I could see the Monastery being a D2C kind of set. After all, they're rebuilding what I assume to be 4-Weapons, why not rebuild the monastery to make it more show accurate as well? I'm think what Penkid meant was the ninja rebuilding the monastery after the whole Overlord-Golden Ninja events, so really anywhere from ToE to where we are now. It seems like they just left it. The ninja act like it's just gone and it can't be rebuilt, when it obviously can. I think one reason they don't just go back to the monastery is, a mobile base is much better than a stationary one, especially if you're travelling far and wide for your missions. Also, the ninja now have energy dragons, which consume energy if you use them for a long time, unlike something like the Ultra Dragon, which is pretty much retired. Or maybe it's simply just that the ninja feel no need to rebuild it, after all no one is going to even live in it. Maybe they'll just reconstruct it when all's done and the we see Ninjago's future.- 4,591 replies
