Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
gamejutzu replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
You never know... And besides, the wielder of the time element may not necessarily be evil, especially if it turns out to be Nelson. Maybe they just want to save the past or something, or stop that battle in the monastery from happening. Also someone asked if Day of The Departed and Hands of Time are going to be full seasons or special events and the Hageman Brothers answered with yes- 4,591 replies

That's interesting. Did they say that in the show? I was also going to say it's a Walmart exclusive, but I guess you beat me to it. I guess it's a Walmart exclusive because it's white and blue... :P

Ah, ok. To be honest I didn't see the hair

I thought the time travel episode was actually pretty good. It's actually one of my favorite episodes from that season. Day of The Departed could be like a movie, which would be around 3 episodes but put into one. Hands of Time could be the same thing, since they called it an "adventure" and not a season.

Oh right, from the dark matter (I believe that's what it's called in the show too). Sensei Yang could possibly have the element of time, but that's unlikely. Think about it. Yang will be the villain of Day of The Departed. Will he also be the villain in Hands of Time? I personally doubt it. And besides Yang, Nelson is the only person I can think of who could get the element, besides a brand new character. And also, people with elemental powers have them passed on by their family. Nelson could have someone in his family who was a time elemental.- 4,591 replies

Believe me, people have much more than what you've got. How do you think people make crazy MOCs in the first place?

So the thing that's above her head is a pipe? Huh, I never would have known.

So they're doing the whole, "no one stays dead thing"? Heck, with Samukai coming back in DoTD, even Garmadon could come back to life. Well, i'd say it has something to do with the previous master of ice, which could be explored in Hands of Time. I'm betting it's Nelson. Who else could it be? The non-canon Time Ninja? The comics are going to be canon this time? Huh. While they're at it, i'd like the legs and torsos to have actual movement as well. That's interesting. I thought it was a punny version of "morrow", and it had some kind of meaning to Morro's character which you had to sit and think about. What easter eggs? Legends of Chima? The Hageman Brothers? I really don't know what else there could be.- 4,591 replies

Yeah. We still haven't seen Morro or Samukai even though they are clearly in the museum.

Very neat, I like it. It's also cool how you integrated this into Nexo Knights. What is the thing on her back? Hair?

A leaked Hands of Time plot/script says the ninja get sucked into some kind of purple explosion. Lloyd and Cole are talking while this happens. This makes me think that Nelson may be responsible, and that the ninja will actually be visiting the past.- 4,591 replies

Anyone wanna see a LEGO Island 4?
gamejutzu replied to TheLunabrick's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
But that would mean it would need to have innovative mechanics. :/ -
It's called "On a Wish and a Prayer".

The thing is, rolling with [shield + direction] as well as shield break all rip off Smash. PSASBR knew this so they used no shields. Grabs also sort of rip off Smash as well. And so do shields in general. Except real shields characters actually have as equipment. I do like how you propose light and heavy attacks and a real health bar though. That's unique, I think. I also like how you propose having a tag team mechanic in the game. I also mentioned that with my two Ultra Agents characters. In fact, characters can have a team attack or something, that can get charged. However, I do think that pits can be included in the game, you'll just lose some of your health. _________ I just thought of a new game mechanic: studs. Studs will unlock small things like victory animations and skins. You can't buy these, you earn them. How they work in the game is that they can appear in story mode and two player fights like online or Multiplayer. You can do something to make your player lose their studs, just like in Lego games.

Maybe the doors could have some kind of subtle fall apart effect? -
Well, it's something pretty small, I mean who will actually see that? It's there for less than a second. And also, child friendly stuff still has stuff like smoking and whatnot, like in the 90's. Heck, Ninjago had a drunk sailor in one episode.

Does anyone think Lego could be saving Marvel for year 3, for the big finale (and hopefully a story pack)?
-
Maybe everyone in the LCU lives in the same multiverse? It's kind of hard to imagine the Ninjago cast (even if they've been changed drastically) living in the same world as Batman...

What happened at first was that there was one continuous plot from 2011-2014. Same villains, same goal, etc. After that, the show had a trilogy of seasons, and adventures with new villains and mini-plots, that connected in a way. All the lore stayed the same. And now it looks like the next season is bringing back characters we thought had died. The show is surprisingly good. Unlike Chima, the show caters to both old and young fans, which is a large part of why Ninjago was more successful than Chima (and is also why it was nominated for a KCA). So yeah, if you have the time go and check it out, you may like it. At first the show tried to find it's footing, but once it did, the show got really good.

By a Smash Bros styled game, you mean a 2.5D fighting game, and not Smash with Lego, right? Y'know, I could actually see a Lego character being in Smash. Maybe to show some cooperation between the two companies, like a little deal. Kind of like Snake when he was in Brawl. However, the only viable character would be Chase McCain, as he originates from a video game, and it was a Nintendo exclusive. However, Chase would be a boring character to include, as all he'd do is use judo on people and use his disguises for specials. And no one really wants him. I would say to add a Ninjago character like Zane instead (as he is the most unique ninja), but Ninjago didn't originate from a game. However, the first Ninjago game was a Nintendo exclusive. But then again, people ask for Naruto and Goku in Smash, but they didn't originate from games either. _______________________ I guess this means we should make up our own gameplay style for how the game would control. Well obviously you'd move left and right, as well as jump. However, only agile characters would have this ability, as a nod to Lego games. Un-agile characters could have a combat roll or something else. Now that we have movement out of the way, here is where we need something to set this game apart, and stand out from Smash and PSASBR. And I think that this would be a building system. While I don't know how this would work, it could probably be integrated into fights and work. While some characters like Ninjago and Bionicle never actually used Lego, they still can in this game, because... Trans-dimensional stuff. As for attacks, It needs to stay original, so i'd say not to include charge up attacks, except your "final smash", which gets charged up somewhere. Except that this attack isn't super devastating, it just gives you an edge, like increase your attack and things like that. Examples of this are Nexo Powers and NRG forms. So yeah, they'd have basic attacks and special attacks like in smash, but no charge up or devastating final smash. Kind of like PSASBR. As for characters, I say all original franchises, with highly requested characters as DLC. So for the start-up roster, I say: ___________________________ - Tahu - Clay - Zane - Gamer Guy - Johnny Thunder - Wyldstyle - Jack Fury/Caila Phoenix - A Power Miner - Hael Storm - Stormer ___________________________ And others can be acquired by completing the story, with actual cutscenes plz And from here I think the game could work out well.

To be honest I really don't know how new kids do watch Ninjago without feeling confused. Ninjago is one of the few shows on Cartoon Network with a plot, meaning kids would have to start from episode 1 to understand things. But Cartoon Network really doesn't do that. And I wonder if kids will still like the show even though they may not know what's happening.

ok See you there. But what I was also trying to say with this is that since Nya and Kai's parents lived in the same time period Morro and Samukai did, it could explain why specifically them aren't in the summer sets, because they could appear in the Hands of Time wave.
