Excellent builds all of them and a really funny presentation! Still laughing...!!! You are really starting your own old-school style MOC...school! P.S: Somehow my eye stood at the lit gunpowder detail! So inventive!!!

[COR - Aug FB2] Abigail Park Barracks, Mooreton Bay
blackdeathgr replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A nice, solid build, though i have to agree on the ground comments and i will add that the building color is strange too as there are large patches of the same color that makes it look like a modern military uniform. Having smaller bits of the same color on the wall (as in fort Denison) looks better in my opinion. PS: Dont get me start on the targeting puppets...! :-p- 6 replies

Good one! Full of action and with a nice presentation. And according to me, there is never such thing as too many minifigs!- 9 replies

[SR - FB - Fort Building Contest] Queen's Rock Outpost
blackdeathgr replied to kaiju's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I second that! -
Phred, i somehow calculate my grand total (including August) as being 145DB rather than 207. I think something was added in July which eludes my memory or isnt right. Any chance you can clarify that? Else i will go on my merry way, having 207 DB

[COR - Aug FB1] Botany House, Mooreton Bay
blackdeathgr replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great stuff as always. The outer wall is splendid and so is the "thing above the gardener that has leaves upon (usually vines for us) and i dont know how it is called in english". My only concerned would be the white looking windows of the second floor but this is nearly negligible.- 10 replies

[FB - COR] Those smelly pig farmers... oh, bacon!
blackdeathgr replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yet another nice moc! Of all the details, i , too, particularly like the hog pen with the muddy center and the fence. But Ofc the cabin is nice too. Cpt Wolf's concern that the outer plates forming the base should preferably be at the lower level is something i would have never notice as a novice builder myself but it helps indeed. You indeed learn a lot during your life time :-) -
A Dream Within A Dream

Interesting story... and i really like the south place gate!- 11 replies

Wow! How could i seriously miss that when it was first posted! This is excellent not only because of the sheer work hours it needed but also due to its great dense of humour and kid (and not-so-kid) activities/easter eggs (a huge fan btw). I especially liked the alladin hunt for the magic lamp and the decapitating cannonball! Also the fort design and coloring is great!

Visiting a Pirate Island
blackdeathgr replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
When i first saw it, i thought, "hey, that reminds me of something!" Then i realized it was the new-old forbidden island with a twist. An ...interesting twisted twist! Hehehe! And unlike your family, i find these pics thouroughly amusing :-p "Pillage the village" indeed!!- 14 replies

Nice one! Colors and design show that everybody must start low :-p Also a innovative, allegorical depiction of Sea Rats (although i doubt that many Sea Rats will endorse that)- 5 replies

[ESL - FB] Upholding order on Nellisa
blackdeathgr replied to Elostirion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice troop squad Elostirion and i am happy to observe your family's everlasting rise to power. I can't but feel pity though of a king relying on his tradelords' guards for his colonies safety ;-)- 7 replies

[COR | FB2] Defending territory
blackdeathgr replied to narbilu's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nicely built! I especially liked the wip photo as i could better realise what i was watching. Always a pleasure to follow the gradual expansion of a colony and i think this is the way to go if you have ample space and bricks at your disposal. It feels so natural.- 7 replies

[OL-FB3] The Man from the King's Court-Part 4
blackdeathgr replied to Franco Clarke's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice story as always! And the ship is interesting too and a nice addition to our fleet. Its Design and color choices are nice. Only thing you could easily(?) improve is the looseness of the strings as you too noticed. -
[OL-FB3] The Man from the King's Court-Part 3
blackdeathgr replied to Franco Clarke's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I like all your stories a lot and the boatshed is good looking too. Regarding night photo, i would still like some more light. Regardless, as far as the boatshed is concerned, some more daytime photos would be nice :-) -
Nice one! Who said that lighthouses should all be circular after all! I like the building a lot but somehow the surroundings captivate me the most. Very charming.

[OL - FB] Astrapi Ship Wheel Factory
blackdeathgr replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yaaaaay! Throwing an order of at least a dozen of them! Damn pirate battles take a toll on my (pretty non existant) stock! But in Astrapi? Well, Tom "juggernaught" Jones has to hunt for that elusive artifact there too so i'll be visiting soon. That and to satisfy my religious obligations to the Gods of Oleon. I hope wheels are ready by the time i return from vacation :) -
[COR - Jul FB3] Fishmonger's Stall, Mooreton Bay
blackdeathgr replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Once more a great MOC! Even a plain fishmonger's shop can have its grace! Beautiful roof and i particularly like the hanged shark. It is something i was always adding pretty much everywhere when I was making stuff as a child during the first LEGO Pirates. I was using a pole flag stuck at shark's tail (if only there were chains back then )- 6 replies
