[MRCA outcome] My apologies
blackdeathgr replied to Jacob Nion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Indeed, Jacob is one of the few exceptions of builders that with his builds makes me kind of like the fleshy offsprings of the "pureblood" minifigs Nice story too Jacob! -
[COR - May FB3] Fort Denison, Mooreton Bay
blackdeathgr replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A very nice design and a very fitting one for that period. Needless to say that , i spent half the day studying the Martello towers in half the planet...- 20 replies

[OL - FB5] The 'Diligente'
blackdeathgr replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
When you post a ship, i am always speechless am i find myself studying it in case i get around building something similar with my meager numbers of bricks! Oh, and it would be really devastating if you ran out of ideas -

I just love this ship! Never thought that gray would look so sleek in a ship! I also love the exotic crew as i have always wanted to use those turbans and medieval coifs. Now gief me that tiler!!!!! -
Hehe! Nice depiction of gaining 21DB I knew those warships were useful!!!

A simple yet GREAT design! Love it! I will definitely experiment on this design with other colors too!!! -
Now THIS is a great ship! Some seriously great ideas about shipbuilding just appeared as revelation upon me!!!! The stern, the way the masts are constructed, both the vertical and the horizontal ones, the small technic pieces used to tie the ropes together. All these i am looking forward to replicate albeit in a muuuuuuch smaller version!

Indeed, palm leaves on the wall is a nice idea! Now lets see how our story evolves -

blackdeathgr replied to Gulagurag's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent idea and even better implementation! Oh those floor planks...so...many... -
This ship has nice curves and is close to real ships. Small cannons definitely play their role well and so does her bow and her stern. My only concern is that it would be better presented with her down half under water (i.e. 1x1 round plates ) A great ship nevertheless! Keep her afloat Dukesc!

I think i have found my second best roof design!!!! And the chimney is also great! -
Thanks guys! I am glad that you liked it as i had fun making it. Foliage is something that totally transform landscape from boring to not-so boring ! On my next Jungle build i will try making it more dense, e.g. place the foliage higher, at around minifig neck level. But this is just the start of the scout party's journey and i wouldn't want to make it hard for them from day one!

A fine example of Oleander fortifications
blackdeathgr replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Let's sue everybody! Oh, wait, this technique hasn't been used yet About the breastwork as everybody said it is indeed low and doesnt really protects anybody In my next fort attempts i will definitely solve this issue and will also add a much needed hatch else our troops will flat out refuse to fight! Regarding the flag KB, you are the one to receive my many thanks as you are the designer of this awesome pattern . In fact, for every Oleander flag you see in my MOCs, respects go to KB, as well as to Kustom Bricks for politely transforming KB's digital version into the sticker version i am using. Many thanks again!- 13 replies

...And so the search party has begun entering the deep jungle of Ile de Tyche in search of the Pirate Lord's hidden gold mine... This MOC was created to advance the campaign of Oleon at Ile de Tyche (formerly known as "The Trap"), in search of the Pirate Lord's hidden gold mine. CC welcomed as always! Stumbling and falling our men press forward with the help of a scout and the adamant resolve of Hugo D' Offren. Always guarding Hugo, Tom "Juggernaught" Jones with his dual "cannons". Font free photo (i havent decided if the blue baseplate helps as font or not) As always, thanks for watching!

A fine example of Oleander fortifications
blackdeathgr replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks everybody for your kind words! Regarding brightness, i, too was concerned about it as i was shooting from a non state of the art mobile phone (fiance got our "better" camera equipped phone that i normally use for a 2 week trip) and i could tell the difference from day one. I was constantly shifting/tilting the phone up and down so as for the photos to be more bright. I must seriously buy one or two cool colored lamps for indoor shooting because waiting at the balcony at 7am for the sun to rise is too irritating). So, as a result from this mobile phone/brightness issue that completely ruined my nerve system, i couldn't find a decent photograph that wasn't cropped and looked good at the same time, so i left that cropped one in the end. For my next MOCs i must surely invite Mpyromaxos for a coffee/photographing at my house- 13 replies

The Battle for the Grand Duchy of Prio
blackdeathgr replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
So, they way i see it, you can only add troops to your army by inviting ships (and/or troops belonging to individuals)? Or can also pay to generate troops? -
