[COR-FB 3]The Emporium's Delivery Service
blackdeathgr replied to CelesAurivern's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The idea is really nice and i especially love how each one of us have found a unique job! Especially the apple idwa is fitting! But although i love LEGO wood colors, i would have used one more color to supplement reddish brown (black usually but whatever color suits you really)- 14 replies

I wanted to use a heraldic sign too but the only two i like (lion and green dragon from 2009 kingdoms) are directly related with our enemies :P -

Contrary to the lies Eslandolans are spreading to the Old world (probably to hinder our advance and occupation of these new lands), Oleanders aren't "savages". Well not the kind of savages that murder native population... After the initial unrest caused by the landing of our benevolent troops, which forced the natives into hiding, things calmed down. Hugo even took an (armored, you never know) bodyguard and visited a local village. Careful at first, the natives quickly opened up and they even offered a tour around the village showing the various aspects of their living. Hugo's mind filled with new stuff he never imagined possible. The thing that impressed him the most, was the way locals foraged some huge banana growing palm trees. They used trained monkeys tied with a rope that did all the hard work for them by climbing up the trees and bringing banana fruits to their handlers. Life had never been easier! Voila some natives in action. Once again forgive my photographing environment (my old trusted glass table on the balcony), since i haven't created a photo-booth with a white background yet. But these straw kind-of-fence, does the trick by transporting us to more exotic places, doesn't it? Close up

Somewhere it was written that you can calculate your earnings (that you are going to earn this month with any existing and new MOC) and spend them however you like at the same month. I cant remember where i saw it written and nor can i verify that, so i might be entirely wrong. So, Skaforhire or any other BoBS lord, we need your help on the matter :)

A fine ship sir! Blue/black combination, spacious cargo hold, the awesome chains on the bow, the all seeing parrot :P And although gold details do match with the colors used, i would have placed them stud by stud (one stud with gold round tile and one without etc etc) so as not to steal the focus of your whole lovely creation. Come on! Admit it that it looks cooler that way even though it defies the laws of physics! At least this is how i used to put all my ship flags while i was still a kid!

These are some badass figs! And the presentation is top notch. Regarding the ceremonial version of your priest, i would have added a cape or something to make him more... well, just more!

[COR-FB] The Peregrine (Small Cog)
blackdeathgr replied to CelesAurivern's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
What a lovely small ship! I always wanted to build small ships out of the bigger prefab rowboat piece. I have yet to acquire such a piece myself. And your version is a bulky one! This i like the most :)- 13 replies

[COR]- FB- Leaving Tiberia
blackdeathgr replied to Lord Vladivus's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I like your version of stockade too! And i am eager to see someone finally mopping all these ships we see. There weren't only sailors and marines in them! Someone HAS to do the dirty job like cooking and mopping. Mopping and cooking :P- 15 replies

Nice ship for its size! Cannons are nice, sails and rigging are nice and the stern is also very attractive. But why does it have to belong to Corries?!?

He saw the light! We have more monkeys, more booze and we slaughter more...ehrm...play more with indjuns! Harharhar! -
Oh, no! Now we are at war with the natives??? :P I will try sending some troops to "pacify" the next village i see on our newly discovered island then... On the creative side, i like the minifig posing and this really nice stone statue.

The ship is nice but i too cannot discern its scale or its curves. It looks like a collage atm (or whatever you name the scissors cutting of photos from books and glue them elsewhere) Can we have more photos plz if the moc hasn't been dismantled? Thanks and keep building awesome mocs in BoBS as well :)

[CH1 A] Making the grey one red
blackdeathgr replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Regarding gray parrots: They most likely depict African gray parrot? I kind of love these gray parrot-like medieval vultures/hawks/not-black-crows :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_grey_parrot -
Really nice moc-ed progress of BoBS history! And a more than fine build as always! That arched windows with the light blue background is what i like the most. What i really find disturbing is our Oleander shield. I don't know why but i dislike this present "blue lions vs red-black dragons" castle theme :( . Alas our diplomats didn't have any other gift to give you back then so you are stuck with this ugly shield.

[Ch 1B - ESL] Landing on Berelli
blackdeathgr replied to kabel's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
You know i am still laughing, right??? Come on, we Oleanders are friendly too :P We haven't slaughtered any native (yet)! Excellent build as always and a brilliant example of beach and rain forest building technique. Btw the soldiers are grumpy due to the "no-killing-natives" command, i guess... -

[OL - INTRO] The letter
blackdeathgr replied to robinnilsson403's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice intro and an even more interesting sigfig's job! I too am wondering about his exploits in the New World. I think i must persuade you to make your workshop in the same colony most of us Oleanders move in as well, so that we all feel more protected by your weapon/cannon prototypes! After all, our Oleander forefathers said it clearly: Strength come in numbers. And guns! But you know that better than i do :) -
This is a hilarious looking ship in a totally positive manner! It feels full of details and bulky enough so that each cannonball hurled at her, would bounce off! It reminds me of "Sea Cow". I especially liked it that you went into that much trouble to make your own cloth sails. They turned out good enough and their color is matching nicely to your ship. I must approve it because it made me smile :) P.S: Awesome drifting wood too btw!
