Yeap, that's a fine Cadiz...erhm... Eslandolan house, fitting for a Colonel and his wife! And the roof is really well executed.

[OL - Ch1 Cat A] The Realm of Hades
blackdeathgr replied to Khorne's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Our mighty fleet leaves in a month, heading back home. They will deliver notes to our noble King. Don't forget to write about this incident with the natives so that he knows and plan accordingly. Maybe he sends more canons and an extra regiment or two to exact revenge on them ...- 11 replies

The Fighting Clipper is pulled to her final berth
blackdeathgr replied to Franco Clarke's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The way you portrait-ed the whole ceremony is stunning! With such simple elements like a lamp and a sheet of cloth, you made a masterpiece! Well done my friend! Oh, and the white plates do play their part well as waves. -

Oh, come on! We aren't that bad!!! We only have one lunatic (Lucius Córdoba) and he somehow acquired a free pass to the New World! The rest of us are "peaceful" militants that we like to duel and pray! Regarding the MOC itself, it is a really gruesome but beautifully depicted scene. And to add insult to the injury, the nobles entertaining themselves ! Preposterous!

Cool ship, excellent presentation and a great challenge to build interiors as well as using friends colors!! And the ship pattern looks interesting from below! I might have to enforce corporate espionage and steal the schematics! Overall I love this MOC! Also a nice hint on single printed sails. I dislike them too... -

I dont like palisade bricks on ships either but the majrity of my anything-brown bricks are of that type, hence their use. Major update with photos tomorrow. I have added a jib and it looks way better. Thanks for the tip Bregir and Cpt Dee! -

Beware of pirates honeys!

Also are we talking about normal buildings, not a road with facades or plain 4 brick-walls and a roof, right? Then it COULD go as separate builds in my book as well. But in cases like that, i would choose Ska's help

[OL - FB3] Little Hermes trade ship
blackdeathgr replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! Hehe, thanks for your comments! I am not participating for now at the MRCA so as to better understand the rules and to help Oleanders that (seem to me) fall back in posting MOCs. Ofc if noone else license it, i will claim it for myself. Sail cloth is called "caboto" in Greece and it is used in wooden ship model making. It feels and looks like linen but it isn't quite that. You can saturate it with water+wood glue to make it stiffer or/and water+tea to make it darker (I think i read about these technics from Cpt Green Hair somewhere in the pirate forum) Regarding the mast height, I actually considered making it taller but the ship seems so short and bulky, i opted to go without it. But i will surely try it out in my dockyard. Jib is definitely a miss. Should have added it indeed. You cant find more free builds from me? In that case i am doing something wrong I have also done Hermol d'Offren portrait and Rough beaches of the New world Thanks for approving!! -

Whoever wants to licence a ship for the next month (for free) to test the MCRA aspect of the game, can licence the following merchant ship http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=120211 It's on a first come, first served priority basis -
Small Hermes was constructed at the fine shipyards of New Oleon and ordered to sail to Breshaun, Le Bellan, so as to assist trading there and further the interests of the great Oleander nation. Due to its experienced multinational crew, it can overcome nearly every difficulty thrown at her in the sea. The only slight drawback is the lack of armament as it is currently carrying only 4 swivel guns and one canon. Oleander citizens that don't have a ship yet, can licence this merchant ship as his/her first licenced ship for free for a month's duration, in order to test the MCRA model of the game. If no Oleander citizen is found to licence it, then any participant of BoBS can licence it again for free for a month's duration. P.S: I sooo wanted to use golden flying warrior as a figurehead :P Little Hermes I by Spy Tha, on Flickr Little Hermes deck I by Spy Tha, on Flickr Navigation I by Spy Tha, on Flickr Figurehead by Spy Tha, on Flickr

Exceptional furniture, nice walls and a fine, stern looking uncle surely coming for no good... +1 from Oleon!

A fine ship Mike! Although i dislike the colors (for the obvious reasons of my upbringing in Oleon), i totally approve this very nice build. +1 from Hugo d' Offren

You can build whatever you want as free builds. Usually people start with some form of plantation or workshop etc. The first two will get you a sure income of 10 DB each. Then comes licencing. Licencing basically means you "acquire" the property and it starts giving you money. You can licence your first (small) property for free and that's why most people free-build properties they want to licence later. For more info you can read here: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=118540 -
