  1. No! No! No! For the love of the game. Please DO NOT REMOVE faction bonusses. Because they do have a significant effect on the setup of settlements. Whenever I - as an Eslandolan - just want to build something, it's always a commerce, just because of the bonus. There are more art&culture MOCs in Oleon than in other nations, more educational in Corrington, and more Artisans in the Sea Rats towns - and that is 100% appropriate, becuase it differentiates our nations. In a good way. Most of us are not that greedy for Dubloons that we would exclusively build cotton plantations and commercial properties (or would we? :-) ), but we are a little greedy, so we will have more of these in the end. Which is perfect! Also I don't think 20% is too high, for small properties that is 1 DB per month. Paying 20% less is probably overkill, though. A problem might much rather be that other bonusses are either too insignifcant or too much hidden, so that nobody cares for them. The game should emphasize those more, and this way make the faction bonusses slightly less significant. However I really do like the suggestion to adapt Corrington's bonus and include factories. My suggestion would be to keep the 20% on education and add 10% for factories.
  2. ... - any kind of museum - geologists - explorers - libary - book store - debate hall / club / forum - any commercial or artisan MOC with a heavy focus on apprenticeship - cartography of any kind - creating a new type of ship, a submarine, a new vehicle, an aerostat, etc. - observing wild animals - a zoo - ... However I do agree that educational properties are the hardest to vary with, and probably also are what a settlement needs the least. There should really be something else to make up for that for Corries (though I find your suggestion quite exaggerated, but the direction might be right).
  3. Splendid, creative, humourous, beautiful - all the things we are used to seeing from you. Please keep amazing us! :-)
  4. I absolutely love these palm trees. The height of the whole MOC with the steep brick wall adds quite a lot. Great work on this one!
  5. I do like the depiction of the destroyed house - simple, yet very effective! Cool base, nice minifig posing, and what a clever idea for the green hair as cabbages. :-)
  6. The use of the technic parts is really great, and makes all the machinery appear so realistic. The frontside looks fantastic, really like an old factory from early industrialisation. I absolutely love it. The slightly shifted masonry bricks, the roof construction, the overall colour choice, the windows, the arches of the doors - brilliant choice, it really comes to life. My favourite is the third picture, where you can see the whole interior. It just seems so... realistic. The small office room, the pillars, the crates - just so great overall. A true masterpiece!
  7. One of the rumoured large carnivorous wild cats is roaming near Camp Isaac... Explorer's Cabin, will be licensed as medium education
  8. A little southwest of Camp Isaac, at the bank of a small creek right within the jungle, elevated upon four logs stands a small cabin. This cabin is owned by Felicia Sandalo (a scientist and explorer sponsored by Román Fontonajo), as a starting point for all her scientific adventures to explore the wonders of Cascadia. And Cascadia had many of these, with her most recent favourite, the yellow wide-mouthed frog. Only some more observations, and she was ready to share her insight with the members of the Royal Society that currently resided in Camp Isaac. Unfortunately she had not yet had the chance to observe any of the large carnivorous wild cats, which were rumoured to wander the jungles of Cascadia, and were possibly also responsible for the cultural decay of the recently discovered Myzectlan. Little did she know that she was in fact the one being observed right now...
  9. Lovely small fortress. I love all those fantastic micros we have recently seen. This one is outstanding in its clean and flawless execution.
  10. Such an amazing depiction of the oriental style, showing that it's definitely more than tan and dark tan. Some great building techniques, but the choice of colours is immaculate. Fantastic MOC!
  11. Absolutely amazing atmosphere! Great work.
  12. Those interior scenes are beautiful. The photography adds a lot to the atmosphere. So well done!
  13. Some geologists were prospecting to reveal the island's secret metals: Copper had been found months ago. The mines are still in construction today.
  14. The creativity is insane - fantastic turtle!
  15. This MOC looks... I mean, I don't even have words to describe how great. The house itself is so well done (maybe a tiny bit too high), but the ground, the tree, especially the ground, so enourmously amazing. Fantastic!
  16. What a fantastic band of pirates. I love them. Eslandolan merchants must hate them. :-)
  17. Results for Proposal 3: Please vote on the new salaries for the members of the Colonial Council: 1 vote: 3a) Don't alter current salaries (50 DBs for Admius Legistrad, 25 DBs for members of the council) 5 votes: 3b) Reduce salaries as suggested by Román Fontonajo (15 DBs for Admius Legistrad, 10 DBs for members of the council) 2 votes: 3c) Reduce salaries based on the suggestion from Governor Damaximus (10 DBs for Admius Legistrad, 5 DBs for members of the council) 12 votes: 3d) Eliminate salaries entirely as suggested by Aaron van der Meede. 1 vote: 3e) Members may voluntarily reduce their own salaries on an individual basis. 18. Lovely! Both the sinking ship as well as the numerous shots and stories told are fantastic. Great work.
  19. Alright. I have put the salary reduction for vote and will wait regarding the citizenship.

  21. Will start both votings in about 6-10 hours (Captain Lorenzini as well as Council member salaries). Feel free to discuss until then.
  22. Always glad to inspire others. Thanks for the kind feedback, glad you like it. Always glad to motivate others. Happy to hear the size worked out so well, this is one of the things I find the hardest with microscale. Thank you, the figures were actually kind of a last minute idea, I am happy they worked out so well. Nice to hear that the small representations turned out so well, and that all the details came to fruition. Thanks! :-) So many people inspired - fantastic. I didn't even realize the effect of the gables, but think you are right, and I like it. I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks for the kind words. Thank you. I started with the default brown, and then gave dark brown a try and I am happy you like it as much as I did. :-) The best is always what I aim for, so nice to hear you say that. Really makes me happy. Thanks! You realized the hook - fantastic! My girlfriend said she would have interpreted this as anything but not a hook. Thanks for confirming I was right.
