  1. I'm sure that my entry has 4 functions but only ti be sure, i'm using a switch that control one motor controlled by one motor which is connected to a receiver output so you can turn on-off that motor with the remote, this count as a function right? And: if i can't film my video (due ti rain -.-) i can just upload a small video showing my MOC not necessary an edited high quality video? (Sure a bad video influence voters but this is only a question)
  2. Part of the mechanis Was taken by nico71 but i have to add the lever in the back those chains To convert in into a speed tester for that truck ;)
  3. Hey ;) i've answered your question in the radical rxc topic ;) although only two people are really following this creation, here is a video for everyone, the truck is fixed on my speedometer, and you can recognize the difference between speed at 1st and 2nd gear :3 and also see the impact of the boost, you can also see that without the boost truck almost isn't able To drive in 2nd gear, that's because the 2nd gear is designed for downhill and To make the turbo able to really increase the truck speed ;) http://s1265.photobucket.com/user/PKWpaolo/media/Mobile%20Uploads/7F83D1C7-7371-45C9-B365-1E17F5853572.mp4.html
  4. It is important with high torque But if torque isn't enough motors can't reach their higher rpm rate, that probably happened in your chassis and this id The reason why before i've asked epico technic in He was dure that BBS could power 4 motors ;)
  5. there is a small problem with torque, because philo says that RC motors have 14 Ncm torque and sariel near 2 N.cm so… I don't know what is the real one but i think that sariel made his test with lego batteries and their thermal protection give the RC motor only 2 N.cm torque... another thing, tanks have small wheel connected to a track so they have high torque, we have bigger wheels, so you have to consider that (if i've understand what N.cm mean) we have a real torque really lower than the one at the axle, so different wheels influence much the speed/torque Ohw I'm really sorry!! all my computations are wrong :( those are the real one (i've forgotten to consider that i know the wheel diameter not circumference) @thenextlegodesigner sorry, your buggy speed is about: 3,0 Km/h (your gear ratio is 191.1:1) @epic technic you 3rd gear speed is about: 10,7 Km/h (congratulation) leocorno, i've found my mistake calculating your speed that is abuot: 3,73 km/h hope those are right, all the speeds are calculated at 9V for everyone that want to know the theoretical speed (m/s) of his/her vehicle this is the formula: rpmxdiameter(mm)x3.14 ------------------------ 60000 if you want it in km/h just multiply for 3,6 ;)
  6. only two people want a video since now… but are you sure that I don't have anything that could interest you? and if I say… speedometer… lego speedometer >.> my lego speedometer
  7. yes i think is possible, but you have to have a valve that limit the pressure to 3bar (this is the lego limit) or calculate it with some formulas (knowing the weight of the dry ice and the volume of your air tank), especially if you want to recharge it with solid dry ice
  8. first i could make wrong computations ;) second your gearing in your buggy is 1.191:1 due to the gear reduction of the differential (I have checked all the gears) third you have bigger wheels and your theoretical speed is more or less 1km/h fourth probably i've mistake also this computations (but i don't think) have you measured your speed?
  9. Ahahah funny mistake ok at that ratio speed will be more or less 3,4 km/h and about 40 N.cm torque at 9V so all is ok :')
  10. Ok that means 34 km/h???????? o.O but are you sure that you'll able To move that car with only 4 N.cm and thos big wheels? Because i have more or less 14-16N.cm on my truck and smaller wheels and it can't start in 2nd gear due To the power limit of the BB
  11. i Was asking what are the different gear ratios for the speeds of your gearbox (yes i'm not really good at english ahaha) are you sure that the LA is accured enough To make you able To choose the speed when you are controlling you car From distance? There will be the risk of put the moved gear near To move away From the other gears of that speed? (Again tell me if i've explained well)
  12. Posting tips and etiquette see "can I also upload videos to eurobricks?" going down into the topic I think you should make a ripper more similar to the 8275 one, but yours is a nice creation
  13. which are the different gearing? :3 I think that torque doesn't change much, only speed ;)
  14. I Thiene that tris is some classes that you have To know truggy SCT (short course truck) buggy monster truck long travel buggy ST (stadium truck but I think it is only an RC class) crawler (there is a version of this extreme RC trial class also in real life) racing pick-up Racing truck (off-road) like Iveco trakker or tatra t813 and other but I don't know english name of if they are only RC classes look at baja 1000 classes there are interesting ones ;) http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baja_1000
  15. @nerdsforpretz if you look at philo's website you'll find that lipo BB has a circuit That provides this functions: Low voltage cutoff thermal protection (750ma/h like all lego batteries) the variometer function controlled by the orange female axle connector this means that due To the thermal protection BB outputs don't provide the same power of the battery itself, and also generally normal RC batteries haven't got an internal cutoff the problem of using other kind of batteries than lego BB is the risk of damage IR receivers, and in fact you could only gain more torque changing the thermal protection (Or removing it ) i suggest you To use a normal ESC and find some way To connect normal RC servos That will make you able to use a 3S lipo and so gain more speed, but i think that stress motors with an higher voltage will break them, there are also people that change the motor into the PF M one but you have To mind the limited power that batteries and receivers can provide hope i've explained well what I want To say
  16. Except the electronic circuit that lego rechargeable battery box has, it is a 2S LiPo 1000mah battery like some for rc cars ;)
  17. Remember that servo electronic uses a bit of power ;) but with your setup it should go :3
  18. sure you can! But only il They haven't Hot high torque all togheter in my battlebots i've used 2 XL and 2 L motors simultaniously with no problem But I got some problem while running 3 L motors all with a torque near To stop Them,i think that you're gonna make a tank with subtractor so I think that The lipo BB should work, if you look At what philo says you'll discover that all The batteries all The same thermal protection At 750ma/h, so if your MOC work with 7,2V AA BB it will work with lipo one
  19. here leocorno ;) http://gears.sariel.pl/
  20. mind that removing diffs expecially with a good steering range will increase a Lot The friction while turning And also with ackermann geometry, so you'll waste many torque and you also remove Their gear reduction To make a virtual Race maybe we could decide a track only made with wheels a turning Point and everyone could build that track and make a video showing his/her car racing on it, The fastest one will win! io someone il good with photoshop and we set The cameras all At The same position we could make a final video with ghosts racing! (ok, i'm dreaming...)
  21. You have To try non rechargeable one, there is almost a 40% difference in the motor speed and also there will be more torque ;)
  22. wait, wait, i've posted before the speed possibilities and this is the lower one: 5,5km/h and due To torque problem i have To change it only changing bateries this means 7,7 km/h but the acceleration (with the boost activated also in the first gear) will be in 2-3 meters, the problem is that it isn't able To start with the wheel stopped by 1M liftarm, and this because of the thermal protection of batteries, i've tested it with non lego batteries ad it is really a monster of power :D
  23. For the blade try To use angle 4 connector and only one liftarms, maybe the other fixed up the first (if there is enough space) I think the blade coud look better ;)
  24. you can obtain a precise teorical speed with Sariel gear calculator and know ing the wheel diameter, you are tlalking about 5km/h at 7,2V or 9V? (It will very interesting if we could make a race with all our cars :3 maybe a virtual one ;) )
  25. Are you talking about a thing more similar To a baja 1000 truggy or a long travel 2WD buggy? :3 interesting idea ;)
