ok, i've simply used 4x4 as a it means 4 wheels on the floor and 4 wheel drive as 8x8x4 means 8 wheel on the floor, four 8 drive and 4 wheel steering so I think this veichle is an AWD ATV :3 my idea is to connect 1 or 2 L motors geared 1:4.8 (a little bit faster than the faster output of the RC motor) that are also connected to an high reduced winch that move a brake approaching it to the gears, if you activate the turbo you will activate the winch but when you stop the turbo motors a rubberband get the brake slowly far from the gears, it can do that because winch is connected to motors via moving gear (gears not put in a fixed liftarms but in a rotating one pointed on the principal gear axle and they move to the other gear only when the principal is running and move them) if you continue to use turbo the car will autobrake :3 hope i'm explained well but is really difficult for me to explain this mechanism in english :(

news from the chassis :3 I've made a better gearbox (but sure not the last version) a better steering axle, it has some play but during the drive it works really well and with a plausible steering range also the first item of aesthetics, this could be useful to decide if I have to make a shorter chassis and this is a view of the complete chassis there are written ;') boost function and 2 speed gearbox
-
yes you're Right wheels are 1 stud smaller than what they have To be for a perfect proportion with The length but when The aesthetics Will be finished They won't look Small I think you know how much is bigger an unimog wheel than those one, and is impossibile for me to make an huge building due to piece limit but also for power limit I'll make the boost function after finishing the bodywork, it has to fit inside ;)

[HELP] PF V1 Receiver
PKW replied to nychase's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
instead o use The fil trick try To use The battery box trick, connect The 9v adaptor wire To The AA battery box an then The in receiver so turn on the battery box (It works only in one Way try all The two) now due To The battery box circuit Will be as you put the 9v into The batery box, also I don't think that the 9v motor could overlock v1 receiver circuits -
i don't like To modify motors, And I Think you shouldn't because 3rd part motors couldn't be supported from electronics And The non-proportional lego remote Will make your mocs rally uncontrollable if you want To have fun i recommend To you to use modrllistics electronic with a good esc And find a Way To put normal servos into lego crration, with an 11.1 lipo battery RC motor results really fast, this was My try but in you acheive To make valuable modified motors please tell us how you did :3

tracked scorpion Was an old building and Also quite simple for me To build, that photo Was taken when I dismounted the battlebot some days ago if i'm Not mistaking My truck doesn't have lockable dofferential, however thank you To have taught me a new thing, i don't know that difference in The game Boost upgrade speed an acceleration forse a limited time in you use It while is overloading your veichle Will explode :3 due To The lack of Power in The 2nd gear, gearing up and connecting a L motor To The buggy one is possibile to increase speed and acceleration, but I also want To limit Its lifetime with a mechanism that I'm still perfecting in My mind :3

hi to all! this will be my entry for the TC6! I hope I success to build it as I want and I don't fail to build this MOC, it is a truck took from the videogame Motorstorm:pacific rift, I want to test my ability with my first scaled MOC and also, as I love to do, putting some strange and complex functions into a small creation :3 those are the four function that I've planned: -1 buggy motor for drive (4x4 with two differential) -1 M motor fot 2 speed gearbox -1 servo motor for fron wheel steering and.... -1 L/XL motor for boost function, with overcharge system (it is reallly difficult to build into that creation) the points where I'm focused are: -make a reliable chassis with 4 link suspension similar to the molotov baikal one (the "real" type of suspension is impossible to build due to the start from a videogame, it doesn't respect all the physics rules ahahah) - make a llimited-lifetime boost function (automatic slow recharge) like the game, with a brake function if it is overloaded (in motorstorm cars explode but I can't replicate that :'( ) -finish this moc D: i'm not an expert builder but I love if someone could restart this project after my try those are some pics of the molotov baikal, i have to built it in yellow and with gray wheels but i hope to make some stickers for the black and red painting photo took with the in-game photo mode this is my first try for the chassis, unfortunately I don't have 4 9m uniball link but it looks more similar to the molotov baikal system i've made some improvements and also tested the gearbox that works quite well, i'm only worried about the boost system and the truck cockpit suggestions, impressions and critics are welcome!

[HELP] Compact Subtractor
PKW replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
instead of use The switch why don't You change The yellow gear positIon? i've never tried To make a subtractor But this looks quite simple ohw sorry I didn't See ore post, But in You use 2 receivers You Could invert The channel direction -

I've seen a two link live axle with Panhard link in the rear (?) this is a really beautiful and funny MOC also I think it have a good playability (bravo*-*) -
[MOC] Tracked Scorpion Battlebot
PKW replied to PKW's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thaks! In the first post there is also a video and if you search in the LRW group you can find the srimech video :3 ok, i've read 1024x780 but i prefer To resize at 1000:747 only to be careful, on another forum they Was too big but I don't know why O.o -
I'm sorry, I mean that you can use the same color outputs From 2 receivers, but checking the rules I think you can use only 2 receiver, wait an answer from jim for a better point of wiew
-
It is legal To reserve the piace for our mocs like pint14? marvango IMO i think that just to be into the rules you have to use 2 ie receivers not 3 also if there are only 4 function, you could put them on the same channel and use all the red outputs for one function and all the blue one for the other so you have only 2 remote, but mind that Sbrick has only 4 outputs

due to the suggestion to directlly post photos there are some of it :3 also LDD file: scorpione_cingolato.lxf and brickshelf folder gallery.cgi Hope those photos aren't too big, i'have resized them to 1000x747 -
Technic servo motor broken?
PKW replied to thestericho's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Lego is simple, just connect it, you can't host video there, i think the simpliest way is To post a video in facebook or other social network and link it here -

[MOC] Tracked Scorpion Battlebot
PKW replied to PKW's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
yes I know But My images on brickshelf are too Big to be posted directly Why make a contest for entries that could fight? Hahahah yes i think that for that contest i'll mane a new version of that bot :3 i'm only searching a way to make battles hosted by some moccers that can build and make fights between two bots, but is difficult ti find people that love this kind if MOC :( -
[WIP] Lancia Beta Monte Carlo
PKW replied to Ciapasty's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
why You don't try To use long shocks for The steering issue? They probably have To be fixed on a lower point But they are more stable -
Ford Mustang Gymkhana
PKW replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
drinfing With lego is not impossible And also isn't hard for a lack of Power But To drift with that kind of cars is needed a really short steering range and a 4x4 with buggy motors, ackermann steering and sbrick proportional controls could make The difference, however lego plastic has too grip for drifting with at this speed, with some tryes with an external esc and servo I succes to make an 8 figure with a small chassis -

PKW replied to PKW's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
with that ground clearance other flippers can't go with their weapon under its tracks To flip it,you can see this is the fighting between 101 and razer where razer can't pierce 101 track because its wedge shape can't go under them I've built other four robots, the first version of it, that has wheels and an invertible robot, you can find them here Sumobots link here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=549939 there is also tracked scorpion folder with its LDD file :3 -
[MOC] Tracked Scorpion Battlebot
PKW replied to PKW's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes it need the 9v grey motor, when brickshelf unlock my folder i'll it there, there is an LDD file for this creation :3 so you can try to make an only PF version ;) but the space is really really poor and that motors fits perfectely -
[WIP] Lancia Beta Monte Carlo
PKW replied to Ciapasty's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like lancias, but i love the rally version of them *-* this chassis looks great, only I can't understand how your gearbox works :( hope this car will have a good speed, also i think the big gear in the steering servo is a great choice, hope you will use the rally version design for the bodywork, it is more squared :3 -
hi! this isn't my newer MOC and due to have posted some photo into facebook it can't be an entry for the TC6, anyway jim suggested me to start a topic and there is! FEATURES: -L motors for tracks drive, they are covered due to protect the tracks and to use the space inside them -XL motor to power the winch, it is needed to reload the flipper :3 -old squared motor for the winch control, you can disconnect the winch from the XL motor trough a little gearbox to release its power instantly -2-times-twisted-green-rubber-band-powered (muhuhahahah) flipper -simple 4 channel remote control -LiPo battery box designed with the lowest ground clearance and with covered tracks to make it unflippable and resistant to spikes, however its flipper can work as a srimech unfortunately I have only this picture but tomorrow birckshel should opent its file and I'll link there, and also the lfx file :3 also I have some videos in the facebook group called "lego robot wars (LRW)" it could be perfect for sbrick because it allows to make battles between more than two robots, and also the electronic works better with the 2 L motors that sometimes stops this is a link to a short video on Facebook in the LRW's group hope is possible to see it https://www.facebook...727476340692630

Baja Truck with SBrick
PKW replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
sariel could you put 2 buggy motors with one sbrick?:3 is it possibile far The electronics? thelegoexpert seriel trys that solution (Three are photos on Facebook I think) But He decided To put XL motors due To The lack o Power of The L ones (I'm sorry forse The caps But Mu phone is Not setted with The English vocabulary)
