  1. An armoury for the garrison in Port Woodhouse. Licensed as a medium artesian in the name of the settlement.
  2. Development continues in Port Woodhouse. In addition to the recently constructed barracks, an armoury has now been constructed for the storage, maintenance and repair of small arms. Inside, a hoary old veteran sergeant, one leg missing from some long forgotten skirmish, still serves his regiment as master of arms. An amateur gunsmith, he can service and repair most small arms. Here he inspects the custom pistol of a hussar. Another in a similar style as my barracks, I'm planning on doing a series of these small military buildings in this style for the settlement. This one will be licensed as a medium artesian in the name of the settlement.
  3. Hi @Phred, Would it be possible to add @Lord Buckethead and the settlement of New Haven to the account sheet please - when you get a chance - no rush! If it helps, Lord Buckethead attempted to licence a medium fort in New Haven last month, I think in the name of the settlement. I also just licensed a medium residence by Bregir in the name of the settlement. Thanks,
  4. Nice one Bregir, I saw these a couple of days ago on flickr and admired the colourful display. I also like how each house has its own individual features. Good to see those who choose to leave Nova Malto are being looked after!
  5. Nice, I too didn't know they came in white.... do I detect an under-shade of green... could it be painted??? A simple yet effective monument, good job!
  6. A very well presented and clean build as usual! I agree small factories can be difficult, but I think you've done a great job here. I like the inventive process as well. Good work!
  7. Thanks Maxim! Thank you Kai, the slat technique is one of my favourites! I'm probably in danger of over using it! Thanks BD, probably because it uses up the CMF base that we all have hundreds of and which only has limited amount of usefulness!!
  8. Thanks Professor! Thank you! I've used that cannon before, it's based of this design by workshysteve and here is a photo I made last time showing the construction. Yeah, from the Star Wars Battle on Scarif set (75171). I got one when they were first released especially for the leaves, then ordered some more on BL recently. At first I was going to use normal green in this build, but decided the olive were too good not to use! Glad you liked them. Thank you! Thanks Capt Wolf, hopefully we'll get a greater range of medium dark flesh plates one of these days!
  9. An infantry barracks has been constructed in Port Woodhouse. Licensed as a medium residence in the name of the settlement.
  10. Situated astride the strategically important Garma's Strait, Port Woodhouse is planned to be the seat of the Corrish administration in the Paradise Isles. While the Royal Navy looks to the sheltered waters of Safety bay, the army is constructing barracks and planning the landward defences. Here a half-company parades outside their barracks for inspection by their officer. Sentries on guard duty look on from the attached watchtower. Just a quick build before the end of the month, trying to breath some life into Port Woodhouse! I'm attempting for a more 'classic' kind of feel, but using modern techniques. Also a good opportunity to display one of my half-companies ('Platoon' somehow seems too modern! ). I currently have just over two whole companies of redcoats, not that I'll probably ever use them all at once in a MOC - what can I say, I'm a tragic army builder! Anyway, hope you enjoy, will be licensed as a medium residence.
  11. Very amusing! I like the MOUS, although despite it's size it looks to me more cute than terrifying! The tower and rope ladder are also very nicely done. Great job!
  12. Congrats on Large Town Status Maxim! A huge effort! Great idea for a cider factory and nicely done. I like that you have shown the different stages and the pulley/crane system is quite impressive! The façade itself is very nice as well, the blue makes an interesting highlight and I like the SNOT tiles you have used on the columns. I have a feeling that if you keep up building at this rate Trador could easily become the first City in the Prio Seas as well! Great job!
  13. A true epic palace Maxim! I would never have thought lime green would have looked so good in this role! Everything is well done, the windows, roof, turrets... yep pretty much everything! The shape is also really good - the U shape with the pond in the middle is something I think I will borrow at some stage. I can sympathise with LLD. It was the same for my last big LLD build (which yours dwarfs...) KB gave me some good tips to avoid crashes in that thread that I have yet to try out if you are interested. I really like the use of LLD for these grand builds as I makes things possible on a scale that is not really an option for most of us in real bricks. All over great work!
  14. Very nice adaptation of your challenge build Silentwolf. I especially like the winding wooden path as it leads into the waterfall. Nice work!
  15. [ETTC Cocoa Factory] Fermentation Stage
  16. ETTC Cocoa Factory Collaboration Stage One: Fermentation - Ayrlego Stage Two: Drying - Puvel (TBA) Stage Three: Roasting - SilentWolf Stage Four: Grinding and Pressing - Bregir Colonial Governor Jonathan Cooke and Ibn al'Sayeed, manager of the Montoya estate and local representative for the ETTC, return to the site of the ETTC Cocoa Processing plant. The plant is one step closer to opening, with a warehouse for the fermentation stage ready to begin operations. The warehouse is situated on one of King's Harbours distinctive canals. This allows for raw cocoa pods to be transported to the plant by both road and waterway. The pods are smashed open in the field next to the warehouse and the pulp which contains the beans is then transported inside in barrels. It is common for smaller plantations to complete the fermentation and drying processes before transporting the beans for processing - however most of the pods harvested on Cocovia still come from wild trees, and fermentation and drying facilities are required at the ETTC Cocoa Plant. The warehouse has been designed specifically for the process of cocoa fermentation. Large wooden boxes are suspended over pits. The boxes are slated to ensure that liquefied pulp can drain into the pit below and to allow maximum aeration. The pulp is spread into the wooden boxes in a shallow layer, again to ensure maximum aeration. The beans can be covered with banana leaves or sacking to conserve the heat generated during fermentation. Beans can be transferred from one box to another each day to ensure uniform fermentation and increase aeration. Fermentation time is usually around 6-7 days. The boxes can be removed from the pits and workers can enter to clean away the residue from the process. Channels under the building allow for the pit to be flooded with water from the canal to assist in this process. ----- Footprint: 3,072 Well, basically it's a building for rotting beans! It's nothing very fancy, and I tried to make it as interesting as I could, but it really comes down to a building for rotting cocoa beans! :) I've tried to work some of the styles in Silenwolf and Bregir's builds into the warehouse, and I have taken the liberty of including Bregir's characters for the tour.
  17. A small factory for Arlinsport Microbuild as a result of challenge V rewards. Licensed as a small factory in the name of Corrington.
  18. Another mill for Elizabethville. Microbuild from Challenge V rewards. Licensed as a medium factory in the name of Corrington.
  19. It wasn't meant to be abusive, I was just implying that the citizens of Tortuga are enjoying their rum! Also poking fun at the Corrish love of neatness and order...
  20. Sand green is becoming a signature for you I think - I like it and need to get more bricks! The way you did the cut out is quite clever and I like the way it allows for a full interior without detracting from the buildings profile. The discarded (rum) bottles give what I think is a real sea rats feel. No Corrish settlement would have rubbish scattered over the beach like that! This build is a great example of the way you demonstrate that you can use all relatively simple techniques and a smaller piece count yet still produce a really good looking MOC - great work!
  21. A very nice fort Lord Buckethead and a great first addition to New Haven. I like the classic feel and their are a lot of good details. The medium dark flesh building adds nice colour contrast and I particularly like the little swivel gun in the bastion on the wall. Great work and I look forward to seeing where the Mokolei Expedition takes Marine Captain Augustus Fernsby.
  22. Name: New Haven Ownership: The Crown of Corrington Location: Western shore, Northeast Cape, Alicentia, Sea of Storms Map: DRAFT ONLY - Final map to follow. Mayor: Giovanni Lorenzini (NPC) Trade Value: See account spreadsheet Town Bank: See account spreadsheet Who can own property in New Haven: Anyone Who can freebuild in New Haven: Anyone Description: After Eslandola and Garvey's decisive victory over Mardier on the Isla de Victoria, all Mardierian forces withdrew from the island and with them fled most of the settlers of wealth and status. Before leaving, Mardierian troops conducted a scorched earth policy, determined to leave nothing of value behind for the victorious Eslandolans. Left behind however, were the poorer Mardierian settlers and those without the means to flee, or with nowhere to go. Fearing reprisals from their new Eslandolan overlords, but more so from the natives who the Mardierian forces are said to have savagely repressed, these refugees, their homes and crops burned, gathered in the ruins of the former settlement of Malto on the north of the Island. Former Mardierian army Captain Giovanni Lorenzini turned to the Empire of Corrington for help. Corlander colonial authorities, fearing a humanitarian disaster on the war torn island, authorised armed support for Lorenzini's proposal of a "free and neutral" settlement and temporarily recognised Nova Malto as a separate entity from the Eslandolan colony of the Isla de Victoria. This sparked a diplomatic crisis, with Eslandolans refusing to recognise the peaceful humanitarian intent of the free settlement and an armed stand-off followed. After intense diplomatic negotiations, Corlander forces agreed to withdraw from the island, and Eslandola agreed that any former Mardierian settlers who wished to leave could do so with the Corlanders. Eslandola also agreed to assist in the funding of a new settlement for the refugees. New Haven is the result of this agreement. Located on the western shore of the Northeast cape of Alicentia, the settlement is primarily populated with former Mardierian refugees and Corlander colonial authorities have confirmed Giovanni Lorenzini as mayor. 23. Congrats on getting blogged on TBB! Well deserved!
  24. Absolutely fantastic work Elostirion! I love the all-Lego shots which really immerse you into the deep jungle. The dark, reflective water is a great feature point and the posing of the tiger is superb. The greenery is perfect - nothing more to say about that! The temple itself is also very good, especially the SNOT floors and feline statues. All over a great addition to Myzectlan! Oh and I totally missed the Jaguar/Leopard until Silentwolf pointed it out!
