  1. Cool little build, I like how you have just the right amount of texture in the walls for this size. Good job!
  2. Great scene, the militia do indeed look very nice. I do worry about the 'Corries' manning the defences though - I mean naturally they won, but I can't help but wonder if this is some Mardierian ploy to use red jackets to create tension between Corrington and Eslandola! Great entry!
  3. Stunning entry KB! The sheer height of the keep is impressive in itself, but the action scenes are next level. Great story as well, probably my favourite entry in this category (so far!). Fantastic entry!
  4. Really great entry, the shear scale of the monster and ship are very impressive! On glancing at the first picture I thought it was just going to be a single tentacle, so the giant beast was quite a surprise! Fantastic job!
  5. Thank you all for your kind words! Just so you know, I spent a considerable amount of time looking at your flickr stream for tips, so don't sell yourself short! The roof technique is unashamedly stolen from Gideon, so feel free ! Regarding mini-figures, you are absolutely right - I should have at least included someone walking down the street! I'll attempt to make up for it in my next attempt, which I plan on having around 200 figs... that's if LDD doesn't keep crashing on me...
  6. Thanks for the comments everyone! The focus here was indeed the minifigs, I actually feel the build itself is a bit... well boring!
  7. Firstly, my apologies Kai, this is fantastic, definitely one of my favourite 5A entries and I absolutely should have commented before now! The build itself is really good, I always struggle with large trees but you have nailed this one - also the irregular base is very well executed. But what really makes this is the story, well written (as usual), it actually had me chuckling out loud a few times - and kept me guessing until the end (in retrospect your title should have given me a clue to the ending!) Like I said, one of my favourite 5A entries! Well done!
  8. Great little interior scene, crammed with loads of details and colour. Nice job!
  9. A lovely ship with great shape and colour scheme! The accessible hold is a great feature, fantastic job!
  10. An action packed scene for sure! It certainly must have taken a lot of patience to get those minifigs posed like that in LDD! I like how you have used a lighter shade of yellow for the Mardierian troops, it allows you to use the yellow heads and hands without them looking like they are in some sort of fetish costume! As I mentioned in Bregir's recent build, the pith helmets are a bit too modern for my taste, but I agree they look fantastic here, especially with that combo! Great entry!
  11. Despite incorrectly updating the settlement thread a few weeks ago, Mooreton Bay is now officially our first Large Town in the colonies! Also I have something Royal in the works... Long Live the Queen!
  12. A branch of the famous Widow's Hattery has come to Mooreton Bay with this medium artesian property.
  13. You may well recall the widow Martha Harris, who established herself in the colony of Stormhaven late last year producing high quality hats. Her store became known as the Widow's Hattery, and has gained quite the reputation in the Sea of Thieves. Business is booming, with the demand for tricornes particularly high! (OOC: especially since a certain builder has stopped using shakos as on reflecting he feels he wants to represent an earlier period - indeed he has just ordered another 37 from a Bricklink store in Germany - but I digress...) To supply the growing demand, Martha has opened a second workshop in the settlement of Mooreton Bay, ran by a women she has had in her employ since the beginning, and trained in the art of hat making by her very self. The workshop is located in two new adjoining buildings and features a retail section on the ground floor, with the production line and storage on the second and third floors. Things are looking up for the newly established Widows Hat Company, who recently won the contract to supply the Mooreton Bay Colonial Militia with their supply of tricornes - a factor that influenced the decision to open a Mooreton Bay branch! As I am currently away from home I am again dabbling in LDD. With a new appreciation for what is very much definitely an dark art, here is my second attempt at a digital build! Thanks to @Kolonialbeamter for his advice on my first attempt, the render is much better this time around! I have something much bigger in the works now, and hope to have it ready to go (if my computer can render it!) by the end of the month. Any advice/comments/constructive criticism is definitely welcome! The building design was heavily influenced by @Gideon's The Wrong Proposal. I've tried to make everything realistically buildable, although some of the plate pieces I've used in medium dark flesh would be extremely rare and expensive IRL! This medium artesian property makes Mooreton Bay a Level 4 'Large Town', although I miscalculated and updated the settlement thread to this effect a few weeks ago - now however it is correct! Long live the Queen!
  14. Very nice - I too have been want to try out the angled walls, hopefully when and if I ever get around to it I can achieve the same standard you have. The signal flags are a nice touch as well, and I don't think I've said it before but I really like those custom black torsos - they are impressive looking troops. Probably wise, although the presence of such a strong force so close to Mooreton Bay is starting to make the Mayor a bit nervous. He probably should get around to seeing to some additional defences as well!
  15. Interesting developments indeed! And a fine build as well, I especially like the fire place and the gold decorative bit behind it. Makes for a very nice looking office. I look forward to seeing where this goes, great build.
  16. So does mine, except when @Elostirion cunningly suggests a collaboration to keep us both on side! Nice scene Dr Spock, the comic strip format is always very entertaining. Your custom Mardierian torso came out quite well. Great entry!
  17. Nice build and like Mesabi says, it is nice to see someone doing some lore - although I seem to recall that the war mongers in Oleon were the aggressors in the Juniper war and took the rightfully Corlander owned provinces off peace loving Corrington at the conclusion? Might just be my Corrish bias though!
  18. Simply beautiful (as always!) I like how you have continued the colour scheme of your previous ships, it gives them a really distinctive style. The SNOT headlight pieces are a real highlight for me, they look fantastic as the grating. Stunning job!
  19. Interesting ship Bregir, I did wonder about it when I first saw it in your flickr stream... The slanting cabin is really cool, and of course the figure head is a fun touch! So the natives have steel? That's a pretty big advancement from what we've seen previously, where the natives were using primarily obsidian weapons. I wonder what else is waiting to be discovered on Cascadia???
  20. Another beautiful ship KB, I've got no idea how you do it (or how we can keep up )! Great job as always!
  21. Great scene KB - the water wheel looks great and I imagine will look even better on the potential future sawmill! What makes the scene for me is the inclusion of the under water part - something I think I will be trying out myself soon.
  22. Nice to see you back Fuzzy! Hopefully you'll be able to sort out the technical details and be able to participate again - you have been sorely missed!
  23. Very nice entry! I like the amount of detail you've packed into a micro build! Great job!
  24. I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said! She is a beautiful ship Sir, and even more amazing as it is your first! Oleon is lucky to have you!
  25. Very nice house Bodi and great use of the CMF base for the side of the boat. It's a lovely shape, I'd be interested to see how you attached the plates to get that shape and angle. The dingy is nice as well, although I'm curious as to why it is carrying a Yeti! They don't look too bad to me! Also, without wanting to sound like a grammar nazi, just a tip if English isn't your first language, we don't say 'worser', it would just be 'making it worse.' Not that it matters! Great build and welcome to BoBS!
