Ok everyone, please advise me. I am almost ready to upload my rather large blue coat fort moc. I am not interested (at this time) in signing up for the EGS, but I may in the future once I understand the rules better. But I have a rather large fort/town and 2 blue coat vessels and 2 fisherman/merchant vessels. I guess my questions are, so I just pick a name and place it anywhere in the map? I understand that I have a sig fig, but do I also have to name a governor and other town officials? I just want to do this in accordance with the rules of the game, I don't want to cause any trouble. It just so happens that this game started at the same time I've been working on a rather large blue coat, red coats, and pirate world (sorry no greens

I have a pretty massive blue coat moc that would be an excellent blue coat fort/city. But I am confused as to what I have to do to enter it in this game. Do I have to pay actual money? Please help, as I do think it would make a welcomed edition to this faction.

I am interested in this, but I don't quite understand it. Can someone put the idea in layman's terms? Like say I decided I want to join the pirates, what do I have to do? I make up my own characters? What is the point system about? I keep reading the instructions, but I'm still a little confused.

Yes, when I get them. I posted some reviews for old castle sets in the historic section. As of now, I don't have any old pirate sets to review. But overall, I plan on mixing new and old reviews. Many older sets don't have any or very few reviews, so they are my personal preference. But as I get newer stuff, I plan on doing reviews for those as well. Today I want to get reviews made and posted for majestos magical workshop and the big bang theory set. So that's a classic and a brand new. With in the next couple of days I want to get reviews up for my ecto 1 and delorian. (these are the two sets that really got me out of my dark ages. But I have to take them a part and wash them, then rebuild. Lots of dust from being on my shelf.) I also have a pretty big hobbit/Lord of the rings collection, and I haven't even started any of those reviews. I want to at least do one for bag end (i love that set) and lonely mountain (average set but smaug is great). I don't know if I will do any more of those for now though, because I have modded them so much, and I don't really like reviewing sets I've modded. I did do some already yes, but it was because they still resembled the original sets to a certain degree, I can't say the same about some of my middle earth stuff.

Review: 31036 Creator Toy and Grocery Shop 3-in-1
Captain Pirate Man replied to mostlytechnic's topic in LEGO Town
I did a video review of this set, here it is. -
Ya I will get there eventually, I've only really been out of my dark ages for a year and a half, but mostly since last Christmas. So considering my big lego push started last christmas, I already have quite an impressive collection. But before I'm done, I do plan on getting most of the sets that I lost, especially rock island, imperial trading post, the original imperial flagship, and yes the skull eyed schooner

Hello all, I've been making video reviews for my Lego sets. Here are video reviews for Black Monarchs Castle, Forestmen Hideout, and my supersized 2013 Castle. I didn't think they warranted individual threads, so I put them together. I also have a Dragon Mountain review that I will add to this thread eventually. I have many more reviews already completed or in the works. Thanks for watching.

Hello all, I've decided to throw my hat into the lego and brick youtube arena. While Lego is my favorite, I started out by reviewing my clone pirate fleet. Mainly because the amount of reviews for some of these Chinese brands is quite low, sometimes none. I also plan on reviewing some newer, but mostly older lego sets, because again, not a ton of reviews on lego sets from before 2010 or so. Any advice or feedback is always welcome. Here is my first video review, for the kazi Black Pearl. I did get better, the more reviews I've done. So I'm aware of some of the mistakes in this video. Here are some enlighten ship reviews Black seas barracuda clone Enlighen king of the seas, that I modded

Are Clone Lego Brands bad for LEGO?
Captain Pirate Man replied to The Steward's topic in General LEGO Discussion

That's a good idea, doing like a giant square. I kinda wish I had thought of that before I made my table. Oh well, lol. I do have a hard time reaching the middle sections of the table, like I said it's at least 6 ft x 12 ft. But I have learned from previous mistakes and am keeping most of the sets I want access to closer to the edges, with most of the water in the hard to reach areas. But still, if I had it to do over again, I would do a big square. Perhaps I will do it that way when I create my city.

I have a lot of hobbies, probably too many. Lol. I was a professional musician for a few years, so I am quite a talented guitarist if I say so myself. So music had always been my favorite hobby. But I have recently given up playing in bands or even playing anywhere outside of the home or for a select group of friends. My wife and I recently had a son, that was the biggest reason for the "change", but there are other reasons as well. Without going into to much detail, I have always had a lot of different passions, but being a functioning musician requires all of your "free time", so I was ready to do some other things. But music will always be my first love. Some of my other hobbies include films (horror, sci fi, fantasy), sports (basketball, baseball, American football, boxing), video games and finally making YouTube videos. I have a fairly popular YouTube channel with a number of different kinds of videos. I have been working on my first brick film, which I plan to release eventually. I have also been considering posting reviews for some of my lego sets that don't have a ton of YouTube reviews. I came out of my dark ages last Christmas. It was the first time since I was a kid that I actually purchased lego for myself. I have been hooked ever since. Although, during the summer months I did put the lego down for quite a while. But as soon as it started getting cold, and Christmas started approaching, I got the itch once again. I just really enjoy getting them as a gift at this point in my life, I have trouble trying to by myself anything else, lol.

What size are the tables you clamp together? I'm asking as more for preference, or does it depend on the display? I'm probably nowhere near a public display, so I'm asking more for my own home than for public exhibition.

You can move it If you want.

What size tables do you guys prefer for setting up your MOC's or "world's" or whatever? Are long and narrow preferred over wide? I'm asking in this topic as opposed to general discussion because I have 7 or 8 pirate ships, so I obviously need quite a bit of open water, as well as area for land. I currently have a table set up that is roughly 6 feet by 12 feet. Which I gotta be honest, I am already having trouble with having enough space for all the ships plus sets. If I was creating a typical city type of "world" I think this size table would be plenty big enough, because so much of it wouldn't be taken up by ocean. But to those of you that display at shows, what size tables do you prefer?

Thanks man!!! Does this mean I can create polls? Or is that 500 posts? I've been dying to create 2 polls, one for the best pirate ship and the other for best castle. Put every ship/castle ever made, and have everybody pick their top 5. I think it would be fair, and finally allow Eurobricks to have their definitive best castles/pirate ships. Sorry off topic

Bricklinking 10210 The Imperial Flagship?
Captain Pirate Man replied to Colossus's topic in LEGO Pirates
How much would you say it coated to Bricklink this ship? -
My 2 cents... Lego is obviously more successful than ever, so what they are doing is indeed working. Are the new sets they are making the kinds of things I prefer? Mostly no (but some exceptions do exists, like the GB firehouse). But what I am doing and I recommend others also do that are "unhappy" with the new stuff, is go back and get the older stuff you want. That's what's beautiful about the today's age of lego, is that the classic stuff is STILL available to purchase. Yes it might be a little more expensive than the original price, but in most cases, it's not completely unreasonable, espcually for an adult collecter. The only problem with collecting classic sets is that you will eventually run out of space to display them or run out of sets you want to purchase. Like in my case, I am putting together a world circa 1600, that way I can use both pirate and castle type sets. (i know many pursuits frown on combining themes, but hey it's my world

Building a castle around 10237 (Orthanc) Any idea?
Captain Pirate Man replied to BrickSev's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The black gate set is only around $60 or so on Bricklink, you really think it can be bought cheaper than that, with the minifigs, if bought piece by piece? I have yet to actually buy a set by bricklinking the pieces yet, that's why I ask. How much savings have you experienced on average by doing this? Thanks.
